Book 8 I really wish this wasn’t the last book in this series, but I have to say, I absolutely loved every single book. Yes, they need to be re=edited, but you can still read these books and know what the author was trying to convey to us. These book s will have you laughing, crying, and smiling. Do yourself a favor and get these books, so you can fall in love with Sunset Harbor and its residents.
I'm so happy that Emily and Daniel got their HEA, it still frustrated me with how much they were at odds. She wants to spend every second with her dad while he's still alive. He would rather work than spend time with family. UGH!!!! Emily is finally pregnant, but when she hits her "due date" Daniel insists on her getting induced everyday after. Sometimes I just wanted to pull my hair out. But I didn't!
This is a good series. And I read all 8 books in just over a month. Please tell me that she's writing more?!?! This last book ended on such a "what happens" moment. Does Emily have a complicated delivery? Do Patricia and Terry strike up a friendship? Does Roy eventually die surrounded by family? I DON'T KNOW!!! This series needs more than just Emily being content with her life.
Well, I loved the book but I'm terribly disappointed because the book just ends. A cliff hanger to the whole series. So many things that the author could write about and just isn't. So I'm not very happy with it all however, I loved the series. I did love how the author did wrap up some of the issues that the series has written about so that was nice and I don't like to write about spoilers so I won't give anything away. I also loved that this was a amazing Christmas book and I loved that it did end New Years Day. That was kind of cool too. I hope that one day Ms. Love continues this series.
I started out reading this series because it was a free book offer from Bookbub and quickly got sucked in due to the easy and mindless read that these books are. Did Christmas Forever have an editor? I could not believe the amount of spelling errors in this, I was appalled. I’ve also grown tired of the writer using the same words time and time again....rabbit warren, reticent, whilst, tuck in....need I say more?
I do appreciate the ease of reading these books after a long day of work and kids, but I think I will be calling it quits now until the author thesaurus and an editor.
I rarely give out 1 star reviews, but this book was a mess. The amount of grammatical and spelling errors was appalling. There was no plot- the story was all over the place. The thing that was the most annoying however was that every character “cried” “screamed” and “shouted” every sentence. And when they weren’t doing that, sentences ended with exclamation marks anyway. All of them. Even when it made no sense. This entire book was shouted at the reader.
Really enjoyed this whole 8 book series. Nice stories, nice characters. A bit repetitive and some might consider them slow, though I enjoyed the pace. Just a note, last half of book 8 had more grammatical and spelling errors than the previous 7 books put together…like the editor just quit being careful.
I read all 8 books in less than a week. When it came to the end I felt like I was saying goodbye to friends. I enjoyed the books and it was a light easy read... just what I needed.
Nice little story of an imperiled inn in a small town. Kind of a romance except the characters are already married. I usually don’t read series out of order, except for Holiday books. For this book I did miss some stuff by not knowing the back story.
Probably my least favorite in this series. I feel like the main character has become pretty whiny, and she seems to be quite the expert on pregnancy even though it was her first one.
Also, I hate the British narrator for a book that takes place in Maine, USA
these are quick, easy reads, if the typos and wrong words don't drive you nuts! And yet, I felt unsatisfied. I feel like the story wasn't wrapped up at all.
Amazing series that had me hooked early in book #1 (this is book #8). Sort of left roomed for subsequent books, but no luck. This particular book could have gone through editing at least once more!
I’m going to pretend that this author never came across by reading list...Scrub all memory of this series out my brain and pray I never recall these 8 books EVER!
