Finalist for Political Thriller of The Year!--Pacific ReviewsU.S. President Isabel Aragon Tennyson (“Tenny,” as the world knows her) is running for reelection, unaware that her opponent is a Manchurian-like candidate created by a shadowy group that calls itself the Salvation Project, bent on taking control of the United States. The election will determine not just who will be president, but likely the future of humanity.
"The Salvation Project" by Joe Rothstein is a thrilling ride, made all the more enjoyable by the author's evident political knowledge and experience. The book's well-paced narrative keeps you hooked, and Rothstein's writing style adds an extra layer of enjoyment.
The characters are compelling, and the incorporation of an intriguing conspiracy angle adds depth to the storyline. Rothstein's ability to weave politics, pacing, and character development together creates a captivating reading experience. If you're into political thrillers with a well-executed conspiracy twist, "The Salvation Project" hits the mark.
I'd like to express my gratitude for having received an online copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is an excellent book, made more enjoyable by the author's superior political knowledge and experience. President Tennyson's life and adventures also show imagination and a highly skilled writing style. The book is well paced and once begun, difficult to put down. I'm hopeful that we'll see more of "Tenny" and the cast of characters soon, as we did when this book followed "The Latina President and The Conspiracy to Destroy Her".
Second book in the series makes me want to back and read the first. Especially timely book during an election year and during a time when many voters are feeling left out of the election process. I received an advanced digital copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
Very good book with excellent characters. Some elements are a bit too politically 'correct' for my liking. The underlying premise is driven by that despite the fact the President Tennison is a solid, strong character. I think if I was a woman I would like the story and book more.
Definitely worth reading. The conspiracy angle is well done.
I’m pretty sure these things really do happen at the White House. Never a dull moment. So much betrayal, conspiracy and, no trust. The lengths they go through to try to kill candidates. A big shout out to the Latina President , she’s a badass to putting everyone in their place. I thoroughly enjoyed this and can’t wait to read the next one.
Unfortunately after reading about a third of this book I chose to discontinue reading as I found little interest in continuing, not what I expected.. 3 stars
My thanks to the sponsors of this book’s Goodreads giveaway for the opportunity to read this book. Just not a good match for me.
An exhilarating read, this second installment in the series stands strong on its own. With a pace that mirrors its high-stakes world, this novel is a great choice for fans of political thrillers.
I received this in a Goodreads Giveaway. All opinions are my own.
