This was a class requirement for me at university. It has a high focus on statistics which provide a good picture of how the things mentioned in the book are actually viewed by the people. Though, it may slow one's reading quite a bit having to read all the numbers and percentages. However, it does provide a great coverage of the United Kingdom and its people and their culture.

NOTE: You may pay attention as of what edition you are getting as the most current one is the 9th (from this year; 2020).

this is a schoolbook I've had to read, that alone says enough
the driest book you will ever read, with so much unnecessary extra information, if you deleted all that, you'd have about 150 pages left of this thing.

I bought this book as a company in a UK historic and cultural university lecture. Without any doubt, this book is an absolute help as background.
