Stella and Sawyers book was amazing. I fell in love with Stella almost immediately and related so much to her and how she handles her feelings and keeps everything inside. She only shows happiness to everyone around her. I loved how Sawyer seemed to notice anytime she was hiding her feelings or doing other self-preservation acts Stella had learned. I cannot wait to see more Stella and Saywer in future books and was so sad to see this story end!!
I think this may be my favorite of this series yet. I really felt connected to the characters in this book. I have followed along with the series from the start and watched it grow and develop.
Stella is the last single lady in the group. She is loud, out going and all around fun girl. She works at the paper and is well respected in the town. But she is lonely. Having grown up filling in for an absent father and a depressed mother she was easily faded into the back ground. She feels lonely at times and uses her bold and loud personality to hide this feeling. Worried now that her friends are engaged and moving forward with life, she feels she may be forgotten again, just like the men in her life. Cheaters!
Sawyer a professor, is straight laced and quiet. He prefers to be orderly and follows the rules. He is good looking and voted sexiest professor every year.
Stella tries to drum up business for the paper by running a online poll on internet dating and even decides it is time to start dating again. Being on campus and working around Sawyer is hard. Her attraction grows by the minute. But soon the story develops into a scandal and could jeopardize Sawyer’s job. How can she do the right thing and still win?
I absolutely love Sawyer. He definitely rocks that hot sexy professor well. He has the most perfect personality and I enjoyed reading the story of his and Stella’s relationship. In this book we really watch the two of them grow and shine brightly.
Overall this book was an amazing read. It is full of life lessons and hard times. It shows that loving someone can really bring someone out of their shell and cause them to truly live for the first time. A love that is so true and beautiful, you can’t help but be drawn into the story. This book is a beautiful and sweet romance. A inspirational read that is sure to give you hope.
I have been waiting a LONG time to read Stella and Sawyer's story. And I will start by saying that Ms. Coll has done it again - this book is AMAZING! I love this series so very much and every book adds more depth and detail to the characters I adore.
Stella and Sawyer are complete opposites. Where Stella is loud and outspoken, Sawyer is quiet and contained. Stella is a reporter while Sawyer is a professor working towards his tenure. They have known each other for a long time and hang out in the same crowd.
Stella feels an instant attraction to Sawyer but is very cautious. Is the attraction mutual? Will something that starts as a "fake" relationship turn into more than Sawyer could have predicted? Will someone who he thought could never be his type, actually be the person he needs by his side?
This is a must read. And once you read this one, you will want and need to read the rest of this series!
It’s safe reading choice - I was quite annoyed by how Insecured the h was But the author help by making such a sweet H as professor , the story give me a feeling of the warm blueberry muffins on Sunday morning where drops falling outside
I loved this book so much! I spent the whole morning reading the book. I just couldn’t put it down. I loved it so much that I hopped on to Amazon and purchase the first three books in the series and will be buying then next books in the series when they are released. This author is going on my must pre-order list. It was very well written and held my attention from beginning to end. It can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone but there will be some spoilers of the other books in the series. All it made me want to do was read everyone elses stories and look forward to what I’m hoping is Wyatt and Lucy’s story next.
Stella is a reporter and Sawyer is a professor at the local college. Sawyer is trying to secure tenure. The two of them grew up in the same town so they have a lot of mutal friends. At a party Stella heard Sawyer stating that he has no interest in dating her because he thinks she’s too loud and impulsive. Stella had a rough childhood and she has some learning disabilities that she covered up by being the class clown and perky.
She becomes Sawyer’s fake date to help him socialize which could help in his bid to make tenure but what happens when things start to feel more real between the two of them? Will their insecurities cause problems? Will Stella’s job mess with Sawyer’s ability to make tenure?
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I had a feeling I was going to have a tough time with this book. For all of Stella’s vivacious outgoing personality, she’s never been one of my favorite characters due to her tendency to purposely embarrass her friends. Then I hit the opening line and I was sure it was going to be a bumpy ride. Because that statement is so entirely a$$ backwards, I was ready to fight before I’d even really started the book. I ended up liking this story a lot better than I was expecting to. Sawyer is completely adorable and everything a good book boyfriend is made of. But, living in Stella’s thoughts and constantly hearing about her lack of trust in men and the issues with her self-confidence was exhausting to read. It’s easy to see where it comes from, it was just repeated so many, many, many times. I also thought the end drama between the pair felt slightly manufactured because I don’t understand what was preventing Stella from sharing that knowledge with Sawyer sooner. Though, the ending is almost too cute for words and I’m looking forward to seeing the outcome of the situation it sets up.

Serious and a little sexy, this romance features a woman who has learned that she can’t trust her heart. It’s a story of two opposites coming together and making each other better in the process. The writing is solid (though a little repetitive), and while the overall tone is serious with some sweetness, there’s definitely still a sexy side to the story.
Trust in Me follows Stella, a woman who has been cheated on in every relationship she’s ever had. Having been burned so many times, she can no longer trust her judgment when it comes to relationships, and she begins to believe that she might need to start looking for a different type of guy. When she starts working with Sawyer, a college professor from her circle of friends, she sees a different side of the shy, quiet guy she’s known for years. He seems like the perfect guy for her to try dating... but he’s made it clear in the past that her bubbly, outgoing personality is too much for him. But as they spend time together, it becomes more and more difficult to remember why taking a chance on Sawyer is a bad idea.
There’s a lot to like about the book - the characters are complex and interesting, the relationship has depth, and the storyline is a little different than what you’d normally find in a romance novel. I really enjoyed Sawyer - he’s not the typical alpha male you read about; he’s more serious and reserved, a little shy but still confident when he needs to be. I would’ve loved to have heard his side of things - 99% of the book is told from Stella’s perspective, so the reader really doesn’t know where Sawyer’s head is at. For that reason, I didn’t feel like I got to know him as well as I would’ve hoped, and Stella’s side of things sort of took over the story. Her insecurities came up time and again, ultimately getting a little repetitive and overtaking the story. That’s really the only place where this book stumbled for me. It’s a more serious, understated romance and I would definitely check out more of the author’s work in the future. I received a free copy via Hidden Gems and am voluntarily leaving a review of this emotional romance.
To everyone around her Stella appears happy and boisterous but her façade hides her insecurities and hurt. Sawyer is a professor who prefers to observe rather than be the life of the party and they couldn’t be more different.
Stella is attracted to him but she knows that she is not the type of woman he is looking for so friends is all they will ever be. She agrees to pretend they are dating to help his career but when the feelings between them become real will he be able to convince her that he is the one person she can trust with who she really is?
Watching the relationship between Stella and Sawyer unfold was fun to watch as they realize it is their differences that make them perfect for each other.
Just found this author so glad I did the story the characters were brilliant will read more of leas books got my interest from chapter one it exceed my expectations so all you other readers if you want a book that is a great story you must read Trust In Me it is Outstanding well done lea and thank you
I liked Trust in me it would be the first but not last one that I'll be reading by this author and I can't wait to read more by her in the future . This is book four in the all I want series and can be read as a standalone .
This is a great book. It's a story of a woman and a man who both have issues from their past that affect them as adults. Lots of baggage to overcome to make the way into a relationship.
3.25 Stars. This is the first book I have read in this series. The author gives you enough background on the characters that you don’t feel lost by reading the series out-of-order. Professor Sawyer Hudson is great boyfriend material. He is kind and has good morals. He is understanding and has a shyness about him, that is actually sexy. (He certainly isn’t shy in the bedroom.) On the other hand, Stella is her own worse enemy. She is so much into her head and her past to get high marks as a girlfriend. The storyline is heavily loaded with Stella’s internal negative thoughts. The book would have been better served if it was told from both characters’ POV. In the Epilogue Sawyer finally gets his turn to share his view.
One in a series but also works as a standalone. Stella is a great, spirited character. Sawyer is your quiet, shy guy who’s just <3 While their fake dating is a done trope, I thought it was fascinating and the characters have a lot of chemistry. I definitely enjoyed this story. (Steamy, too, which while not my usual thing, I seem to be picking up lately...)
Books like this one are exactly why I have been sucked into the romance genre and I'm never coming out. Stella and Sawyer made my heart swoon in so many ways. This is the 4th book in the All I Want series by Lea Coll but it can easily be read as a standalone. Trust In Me was my first book I have read by Lea Coll and I want to lock myself away and read all the other books in this series.
Trust In Me has a bit of a fake dating trope which always leads to tons of fun. I think what really drew me into this book was how relatable Stella was. She's a curvier girl who hides her heartache with humor. Her past has damaged her but also made her who she is. Sawyer is just this hot, strong, silent nerdy type and in my opinion was perfect!! As these two get closer and progress their fake dating the story really starts to unfold.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (5 out of 5 stars) This is romance at its finest. I can't stress that enough. It's a cute small town romance. The sex scenes aren't too heavy or in abundance. I honestly could see myself reading this book again and I'm not usually one to reread a book. I firmly believe Lea Coll is going to be one of my new favorite authors and to think the only reason I wanted to read this book was because of how cute the cover was.
Stella and Sawyer Hudson knew of each other in high school but now that he is a professor at the local collage they seem to bump into each other a lot. Shame he thought she was a loud mouth.
Stella is a fabulous character who is full of life and energy. She attacks things head on and shows how having a learning disability doesn’t mean you can’t do what you want to do. Unfortunately, as with most generous, kind hearted people, she has dated some big losers in her time. Her honesty is refreshing as is her zest for life.
Sawyer is a quiet, shy guy who enjoys lecturing history and coaching the women’s rowing team. He gets a little unsure of himself around women, strangely though not around Stella-even though he had pegged her as a loud mouth, fun time party girl. He has impeccable manners and is just as caring as Stella.
Together, creating the ‘fake date’ scenario for him to secure his tenure at the college they have a wonderful chemistry. This story is a lot of fun but as well it explores some deeper issues, and the author does it well too through the use of these characters.
I have to say I a found this book to be faster paced than the previous books and having the story told mainly from Stella’s point of view works well.

I’m very sorry if the author reads this, but I had an incredibly hard time with this book. There’s so much about the writing that isn’t fully formed. Character development, for starters, is my favorite thing about books. There was none of that here, or at least very minimal. The amount of times things were repeated were insane to me. All of the emotions were super surface level and felt like I was reading the diary of a teenager. Part of the plot was about the main character’s mom having depression, yet this almost 30 year old woman never knew about it? It’s very obvious that is what the mom has and still said character acts shocked and surprised when her dad tells her this news. Oi. I don’t know, I thought this would be a fun and light romantic read and I got it for free on kindle, but it was free because of its quality, or lack thereof. If it weren’t for my inability to give up on a book, I would have abandoned it about 40 pages in. I think this author could have worked a lot more on her craft and reworded a lot of the dialogue as well. The storyline was good enough, but even that felt confusing and forced. I’m sorry, I wanted to like it. :/
Trust in Me by Lea Coll “The quiet one and the loud one, 4 stars”
Stella is loud and boisterous. She’s often the life of the party. Stella always wears a smile but doesn’t really let people in. sure she has those close to her but they don’t know everything. Something about Sawyer makes her want to spill all her secrets. But he’s made it clear he doesn’t want someone like her. Sawyer is still kind of shy and awkward. He didn’t mean what he said about Stella, she’s just kind of intimidating. She’s looking for her next story and he’s wanting to make tenor. Will these two fall in love while helping the other get what they want? I really did enjoy Trust in Me. I liked the dynamic between Sawyer and Stella. They balanced each other perfectly. Trust in Me was my first book by Coll and I highly enjoyed it. The only thing I would change is I wanted more from Sawyer’s point of view than what I got. But if that’s all I have to complain about then she clearly did something right. Plot-4/5 Characters-4/5 Heat-4/5 Writing style-4/5 Overall-4/5
A struggle to overcome and sweet success Trust In Me (All I Want #4) by Lea Coll is a well written romance and introspective reflection from Stella’s perspective. Stella is larger than life and lights up the room wherever she goes. She and Sawyer seem an unlikely pair, but as the story develops, it becomes clear they are really perfect for one another. The plot of this book is engaging and dramatic, including both Stella and Sawyer. Although written almost entirely from Stella’s perspective, it was clear to me that both were very vulnerable and dealing with their own issues. Stella’s were significant and difficult, making her interesting. I was immersed in her emotional healing and totally invested in how Sawyer would be part of it. Overall, a very well written emotional charged book with many interesting characters and a sweet HEA. I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
All I want, is for more of this series to hurry up and get here. I have loved this series since book 1 and now we are on book 4. Each book can be read as a stand alone. Contains previous couples in the book but they do not take over the story.
This book pertains to Sawyer, a shy, college, history professor and Stella, a journalist that wants to find true love, but just can't seem to get it right. They have known each other for years, but one evening of overhearing some not so nice things, has caused a rift between these two. Stella finds it hard to trust any man. Is it worth her heart to try one more time?
Written as a 1st person, single pov.
Strong story line, awesome characters, great detailed descriptions. All in all, a great read.
Would I recommend this book? Yes
Would I read more from this author? Yes
Sassy Beta Reading and Review

Trust In Me is my first book by Lea Coll. I thought it was a cute and fun story. Stella and Sawyer are the cutest together. Stella has trust issues because of two previous relationships. She also doesn't think that she has a chance with Sawyer after overhearing what he thinks of her. Life has a way of working out and putting people in our lives that we never thought would be part of it before. The two key points that I took away from this story is being honest with those around you and to be yourself and things will workout.
I think Lea does an amazing job creating characters that are easy to relate to. Her story building was well done. This was an easy read and a page turner.
A quick , fun and enjoyable read. I really liked both the characters. Stella is loud and life of party where as Sawyer is shy and quiet. Though Stella portrays a very different exterior she is hiding more inside her. She has learning disabilities which she hides by being a class clown. Sawyer is a shy professor who is working towards a tenure . Both of them have known each other and have common friends. The story is engaging and captivating . I really enjoyed the plot and the characters. It was really fresh without being over dramatic.
It's so hard to trust, especially when you have been hurt before. I can see why Stella is weary of being with Sawyer but a fake relationship always has some truth in it right? This was so fun to read and I was all in and feeling everything. I love that Sawyer is sort of the quiet one and the girl wasn't made to be that way. They balance each other out so well but takes them a while to admit that they actually do need each other in different ways.
