This book was an eye-opener, even for someone who has lived in Assam all her life. There were so many nitty-gritties of politics I wasn't aware of, and so many challenges faced by my forefathers in post-colonial Assam that I was unaware of.
If you want to read an honest, unbiased take on the history of the state since independence, this book is a must-read.

A good book to know the history of Assam in that Era. It gives a good insight into the events and all their stakeholders. A must read for anyone interested in the topic.
