A book addict from way back, I cut my teeth on fairy tales and C.S. Lewis, skipping class to hang out in the library. Later, I moved on to Tolkein and Twain. During graduate school, I only had time to read Anthropology books, so it wasn't until later I got hooked on Mysteries and Thrillers. Michael Conneally's Bosch, Sue Grafton's Kinsey Milhone, C.J. Box, J.A. Jance's Sheriff Brady, and Nevada Barr's Anna Pigeon. I don't know about you, but I burned through those books as fast as I could discover a new series. Still do!

But it wasn't until I had a serious back injury that I realized how important well-written stories were to me. I could get lost in a good book. They kept my mind off of things over which I had not control. And even though they were pure fiction, the ones with strong, female protagonists inspired me to overcome my own hurdles in life. I realized I not only enjoyed reading them, but I wanted to write books like that.

Somewhere during that time, the character of Logan McKenna began to take shape, eventually turning into my first book of the Logan series, SHATTERED. With 8 books and a novella prequel in the series so far, I am grateful readers have enjoyed getting to know Logan and friends and keep buying the books, allowing me to do what I love. I am rarely happier than when I am at my keyboard, headphones clamped on my head, listening to ocean waves crashing on rocks (my go-to white noise), allowing the story to flow out of my fingertips.

I also love to hear from readers. It may take a while due to my research and writing schedule, but I will answer!

My husband and I live in our dream forest cottage on the Oregon coast with our dog, Finn. We have six children and numerous grandchildren, grand dogs and a few grand cats. When I'm not at the computer, I'm usually out walking Finn or in the kitchen trying new recipes.

Vanishing Day: A Logan McKenna Mystery/Thriller Logan Book 4 (The Logan McKenna Series) by Valerie Davisson is a crime thrilling mystery and everything is not as it seems. Valarie has given us a story that touches on abuse but true to her form the characters a complex but relatable. There is action and intrigue, danger that is too close to home and some twisty turns. Even though this is the fourth book in the series I am still finding my way with this author and her writing. Was this bo0ok as good as the last one? I’m not sure but I will say things are starting to grow on me.

I'm working my way through this series pretty quickly and I have to say, this has been my favorite book so far. It covers the sensitive topic of domestic violence and I think it was done in a way that covered it delicately.

Logan has a new neighbor and she's pretty tight lipped on where she's from. However, Logan isn't one to push and when Lori starts to open up to her and spend some time with her shopping, Logan realizes that all might not be well. One day when baby Shannon turns up on Logan's doorstep, she immediately is concerned about Lori and finds her beaten within an inch of her life. Not knowing any of Lori's background, all Logan can do is call the police and get the investigation started.

Meanwhile, Ben drops a bombshell on Logan that gives her a lot of things to consider. She's not sure she's ready for what he's asking about and it could change their relationship forever.

While there is still a lot of repeated things in this series, it's starting to become a little less. This book could be read as a standalone but the reader would be missing out on the previous adventures that Logan and crew have been involved in.

Logan gets ensnared in a domestic abuse situation

Lori Wright and her daughter Shannon are Logan's new neighbors. Unfortunately, Lori was Lauren Delaney and was running away from her abusive, rich husband Garrett. Being rich, Garrett has the means to find Lori and Shannon. Lori can't keep from calling her mom and Garrett has bugged her mom's phone. Garrett finds Lori and beats her unconscious when she refuses to go with him while telling him that she has proof of his illegal financial activity. Unknown to Logan, the thumb drive is safe at Logan's house, hidden in a doggy treat toy.
Logan accidentally finds it when Ben's dog Purgatory digs it out of a bag and starts to chew on it. The bag was being kept at Logan's house to hide a birthday surprise from Shannon.
Once Logan finds the thumb drive, she takes it with her to Oregon to have a friend decript it for her
Unfortunately Garrett is able to find where Logan is staying by getting a young student, who answers the school phone, to give more information than he should. Garrett pretends to be a possible supporter for Logan's Fractals program.
Garrett climbs through Logan's open window at night and a deadly chase through the woods begins. He gets the thumb drive and she gets away
There are interesting political discussions in the book dealing with the election that occurred at the time and there's a scene where a dental assistant gives post op. Instructions for Ben's wisdom tooth surgery. I recognize the instructions since I used to work in the field. Valerie must have heard and remembered those for her book.
Valerie's description of the process of an abusive situation is right on. Her mention of The House of Ruth and their help for women in that situation is a good addition to the story. We have supported that organization and are well aware of what they do.
In one scene near the end of the book, it appears that Logan gives Ben's dog, Purgatory, a piece of chocolate cake. Hoping that's not true because chocolate is not good for dogs.
There are many scary scenes in the story to keep the reader on edge. The ending is very satisfying

It’s not easy to spin out a captivating mystery yarn and at the same time to address the sensitive topic of spousal abuse. Valerie Davisson has managed it here, in book #4 in her Logan McKenna mystery series. This is a compelling story about a woman and her 3-year-old daughter trying to stay hidden from her abusive hedge fund manager husband. When the woman, Lori, moves in next door to Logan, they become friends. But, when the husband shows up and tries to take back his daughter, the situation quickly becomes critical. Logan, along with, local detective Andrews, race to piece together the puzzle to protect Lori and her daughter. When the husband discovers that Lori may be in possession of information Lori was holding onto as leverage, Lori finds herself in as much peril as her friend.
The story also includes meaty sub-plots involving Lori and her boyfriend, Ben, as well as their circle of friends in Jasper, California. The relationships between the characters is as much a part of the story as the action and the main plot. I’m jumping into the series here in book 4, but the story holds up as a stand-alone book, while still providing some references to characters and story lines of other books in the series.
The quality of writing here is generally very good, although there are enough stray typos and formatting errors to be noticeable. There are also a few pretty large logic jumps in the story and a few plot holes and loose ends that could have been tightened up. There is also a fair amount of beautiful description of the Oregon coast, the Southern California beach, and many meals shared by the characters, that is not really relevant to the story.
But, these issues don’t ultimately negate an interesting story with several twists that keep you turning the pages enthusiastically to find out whether Lori will make it and whether Logan will get caught up in the domestic violence. This is an enjoyable read that I recommend, particularly if you’re a fan of female protagonists or if the subject matter interests you.

Book four in Davisson’s ‘Logan McKenna Mystery Series’ and having read the previous novels in the series I was looking forward to this one and was definitely not disappointed. Back with our fearless and extremely likeable independent heroine Logan McKenna and I felt as though I was back with an old friend. When Logan’s new young neighbour is viciously attacked by an unknown assailant and left for dead, Logan realises that her neighbours three year old daughter is the only witness to her mothers attack. The police investigation soon comes to a halt without any leads and so Logan decides to do what she does best and investigate herself. However Logan soon discovers that her neighbour is not who she said she was and her efforts to uncover the truth of what happened put Logan herself in extreme danger. Yet again I was hooked from page one with a Logan McKenna Mystery. This story kept me gripped from beginning to end as the storyline was action packed and fast paced and the mystery element of the plot kept me guessing. The characters are all well defined and interesting in their own right but Logan really does bring the story together for me. Although each story in the series can be read as a standalone novel I think the reader will have a better understanding of Logan’s backstory if the series is read in order. I look forward to future books in this enjoyable and engaging series.

This is the fourth book in this series, and I have read all the books in this series. Let's just say that these books just keep getting better and better! Valerie has a way of intertwining action, suspense and mystery all while developing a great story line. To me, this is a well-developed story that has wonderful and not so wonderful characters that bring the story to life. Just like the previous books, I was pulled into this story right from the beginning and was entertained to the end. Logan is back in another investigation and just like all the other times before.... it's a doozy! This time she finds that her friend isn’t who she says she is.... but it's not for the reason that Logan thinks! As her new neighbor clings to life in the hospital, Logan is trying to draw out the killer. Logan finds that the more she digs to find the truth and solve the crime that is at hand, the more she realizes that she may not be able to escape the situation that is at hand! You definitely don’t want to miss Logan in another suspenseful investigation looking for a killer. Logan has grown to be one of my favorite characters. She has a way of showing her strength, determination and nothing is going to stop her from getting what she wants! This is a very entertaining book, as well as the other books in the series. Happy Reading!

VANISHING DAY (A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 4)
By Valerie Davisson
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the book VANISHING DAY (A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 4) by Valerie Davisson. It is a story that once I started, I was hooked. It is a book that includes mystery, suspense, and danger. The more stories that I read in this series, the more I grow to love the character of Logan. She is a woman who is intelligent, strong-willed, and once she is faced with a mystery is determined to find out the truth. This book has Logan’s neighbor attacked with her three-year-old daughter the only witness. Logan may hold a clue to that attack. Is the attacker going to now come after Logan? Logan’s neighbor is in the ICU. Will she recover? Read this book to find out what happens. This is a story that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. The author writes with such detail that I feel like I am right there with the characters. Some of the additional characters in this book have been brought forward from the first three stories. Logan has a wonderful group of friends who care about her. Don’t miss out on a story that is exciting and entertaining. I highly recommend reading it.

Vanishing Day is the fourth book in Valerie Davisson’s Logan McKenna series. You probably could read it as a standalone as there are enough references so you would be able to follow the underlying storyline but I would suggest you start from the beginning!
This time, it gets very dicey! Logan gets on the way of an abusive husband of her young next door neighbour Lori who has escaped him with her little daughter and as she knows what he is capable of then she has information that she uses for leverage… In this story the writer is excellently addressing the sensitive issue of domestic/spousal abuse and if you are even slightly familiar with it then you know that it is not as ‘easy’ as Lori might hope thinking that this information might keep her and her daughter safe … There are twists and turns and at times you are gripping the edge of your seat and then … finally … you get to the end and release a sigh!
In addition to the main story line, Valerie gives us further insight into Logan’s relationship with her boyfriend Ben and their circle of friends. As always, we get the beautiful detailed descriptions of Oregon coast so you can simply close your eyes and picture it (for me, I felt like I was back there …). I wonder what ends up next on Logan’s plate.

This is book 4 in the series. This book can be read as a stand alone and you won't feel as if you have missed anything. Each book has their own adventure/mystery. I would recommend reading them in order though, because you get the whole depth of the character development that happens in the stories. Plus each adventure/mystery is amazing and you don't want to miss anything that happens. Each book deals with someone in the main characters life. This one is her neighbor. This books deals with domestic abuse. Her neighbor has been in hiding and then is found but the main character gets involved in the danger because she might know something. This book had me turning pages to see what was going to happen, who was going to do what, how was this going to end. These thing kept my attention and had me finishing the book in record time. I have noticed that, I am reading each book in this series faster than the last and I am so excited to be able to go straight to the next one. You will find yourself getting submerged into the plot and actually for a but I thought I could be a detective and figure things out. These feelings that you get when reading this book is what us going to make you want to read the next.

This is the fourth book in this series. I have read all the books in this series and they just keep getting better and better. They bring action, suspense and mystery to a new level. This is a well developed story that has characters that bring the story alive. I was pulled into this story right from the beginning and was kept engaged to the end. It is a fast paced story that has twists and turns that kept me turning pages. The characters are connectable and supportive of each other. Logan is back in another investigation. This time she finds that her friend isn’t who she says she is. As her new neighbor clings to life in the hospital, Logan is trying to draw out the killer. The deeper she digs and the deeper she gets and she just may not find her way back out. You don’t want to miss Logan in another suspenseful investigation looking for a killer. Logan is one of my favorite characters. She is strong, determined and nothing gets in her way of finding what she wants. I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series to get to know Logan more. This is an entertaining story that I highly recommend.

Vanishing Day: A Logan McKenna Mystery/Thriller Logan #4 (The Logan McKenna Series) by Valerie Davisson

Another fantastic read by Davisson. It was hard to put the book down and I couldn't get enough. Davisson has a certain way of making her readers want more without leaving you hanging.

Logan is at it again saving people. When she meets her new neighbor she knows something isn't right. Things happen which causes her to mess up her knee. The quote I chose for Logan is: “Jeez, do they think she’s going to be okay? Will she recover?”

Ben has been through so much within the last couple years. First his fiancee leaves him and now it seems like every time he turns around Logan is getting hurt. He loves Logan and surprises her with something. The quote I chose for Ben is: “I know it seems crazy. Why now? I’ve been asking myself the same question. I can’t answer that exactly, except to say that when I saw Shannon on your lap the other night, in the rocking chair, comforting her, and then Shannon hung onto my neck and wouldn’t let go, it just triggered something.”

A highly recommended fantastic Mystery thriller novel.

When your new nextdoor neighbour is not quite what you thought, will this be the next adventure.

Lori is a single mother who has moved into the house next door to Logan, although they keep to themselves. One day a commotion happens and the husband turns up looking for the daughter, the only trouble Lori has run away due to the husband being abusive. Logan involves herself to try and help Lori get away from the husband and live a happier life.

I have loved this series, getting to know Logan in each of the stories seeing her confidence grow within each story. This story hits hard as the subject matter can be a little tough to swallow but the way Valerie weaves the story makes a difficult subject matter readable and understand the reasons why Lori does what she does.

I love the way all the characters add to the story and with the plot lines weaving through it makes a interesting read, I can't wait to read the next installment in this great series and see what happens to Logan in the next book.

Vanishing Day is Book Four in the Logan McKenna Mystery Series. It is a crime thriller with mystery, action, drama, suspense, and intrigue. Although this book could be read as a standalone, I do recommend that previous books in the series be read first in order to know more about Logan and her backstory. This book will leave you on the edge of your seat as Logan is once again facing danger as she tries to help her new neighbor after she was viciously attacked and left for dead. The three-year-old daughter of the young woman was the sole witness to the attack, but it leaves little for the local police to go on. Logan steps in to help the woman and her young daughter but quickly realizes the woman is not who she says she is, and this puts her life in danger, along with that of the woman and her daughter. I love this series and the character of Logan. She is smart, feisty, strong, courageous and determined. This book takes some twists and turns that will have you reading until the end. Looking forward to the next book in this amazing series!

When I say that this series is just getting better and better with each book, you just need to take my word for it. But also read this set!!!!! You CAN read them all as standalone, but please just read them all! You will not regret it! Logan has a bad habit of getting stuck in the middle of murders, but she also has a pretty good track record with unearthing the killers. This time she's so close to the killer that it's crazy scary. Determined to find the truth Logan yet again dives into the mystery. The police investigation stalls, but that never stopped Logan before and it won't now. Not knowing she holds the clue to it all, she is sucked into the killers world once again. Can she make it out alive again or will this be the one killer that makes her life vanish! The author has spun yet another wonderful suspense thriller murder mystery! I was on the edge of my seat even more and I can't wait to dive into the nest book to the series!! Grab this whole set!! You will love them!! Danger, suspense, abuse, family and friends, intrigue, and of course murder!!

I read the first three book several years ago. But when my sister mentioned this one, I was able to call up memories of the house, the sea otters, and more. So I guess they stuck with me! There are a lot of fun characters (too many to keep track of without a 'friend' chart, though). And there were some glaring mistakes, like Ben holding Shannon on his lap after she had already left with her babysitter, and Andrews retrieving a wallet and handing it to Andrews. However, I still enjoyed the story.

And looking at this passage (overall, the book was NOT political), in light of the recent immunity decision by the Supreme Court regarding trump, showed a bit of prescience on the author's part.

“Not much any of us can do about it, anyway,” Liam said, ever the peacemaker. “You’ve got all these checks and balances here, right? It’s not like he’s an emperor. American presidents can’t do whatever they want. Someone will keep a lid on him.”

Vanishing Day
A Logan McKenna
Mystery/Thriller
Book 4
By Valerie Davisson
☆☆☆☆☆
This story is a full length edge of your seat novel.

Logan has a new neighbor, Lori and her daughter, 3 year old Shannon. All appears to be going well until…. Lori is viciously attacked and left for death. All the while her daughter Shannon, runs to Logan for help. Being too shocked to talk, Logan sends over boyfriend Ben to check out the house. That is just the first few pages of this Intense mystery. This is a must read!

Valerie Davisson has gone to great lengths to write this book. Her information is spot on, which makes you want more. I love her characters, strong independent women, and stronger men. At the end you find yourself pondering over the story. It will stay up front, one to remember. Such a strong mystery/thriller making this a page turner. I know you will enjoy this book as much as I did. Job well done Valerie Davisson!!

Vanishing Day
By: Valerie Davisson

Vanishing Day is Valerie Davisson’s take on what is a familiar plot. It is one I have seen before, an abuse victim on the run from their abuser. However, I have not seen this plot as skillfully crafted as that by Valerie Davisson. She takes a character I already love, Logan Mckenna, and gives her to this hard, yet common, topic and just really lets her writing take center stage. This book was so hard to put down and I just wanted to see justice prevail from the beginning to the end. Valerie’s true talent is in her character development. She takes a well loved character and just continues to develop her through each book. She then gives her new characters and plots that just help her to show her positives and her flaws. She makes Logan seem like an amazing friend throughout the story. I absolutely love this story and will be anxiously awaiting my next Logan McKenna read!

Vanishing Day is the 4th book in Valerie Davisson's Logan McKenna Mystery series. This book was a continuation of the story of Logan McKenna and the excitement that seems to follow her around like no other. This book promises you excitement, mystery, and a fast-paced thrill ride, and it lives up to everything promised and so much more. You cannot help but grow to love and feel invested in the characters that you've met in the past books, as well as gain a deeper understanding of their characters as Valerie continues to masterfully build upon their true natures. This story does touch on some very touchy subjects including spousal abuse, but it's so ingeniously approached that it doesn't overshadow the true purpose of the storyline. Once you start this series, you will not want to stop until you get through all of the books, it is so amazing, I'm so excited for the next book.

I thought the characters were interesting and more realistic than some I have read as the main character, at least, worked and supported herself. The story was, overall, pretty good. However, my main criticism was a couple of snarky political comments that did not add anything to the story and, most likely, will affect whether or not future books of the author will be purchased by a significant number of readers. So, just leave out the political opinions. Also, there was one instance where the main character's actions were so lacking in common sense that they were simply unbelievable - eg. SPOILER ALERT: the main character is attacked, does not report it and simply returns to the same location, alone, and actually sits outside on the porch sipping wine as though there was no danger. As I said, overall, a book that was ok with the above caveats.

Vanishing Day: A Logan McKenna Mystery/Thriller Logan Book 4 (The Logan McKenna Series) by Valerie Davisson. I’ve come to realize when it comes to this series and the author I’m not going to be disappointed. I’ve read each of these books and they just keep getting better. I find myself completely lost in the pages and not caring how much time passes me by. The mystery, suspense and action pulled me in and I found myself on the edge of my seat more than once. This one I felt packed a bit more of a punch than usual and I loved every single minute of it. The characters are complex and relatable, they pull you right into their world. The storyline is well paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking. I’m excited to see where this author takes readers next.
Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

I feel as though every review for this series starts the same. Each installment is better than the last and my mind is blown. I feel most book series meet their expiration at book three so the fact that Valerie Davisson and Logan still have my attention, definitely says something about book 4. I thoroughly enjoyed Vanishing Day, there is sensitive subject matter written well and a storyline that once again grasps my attention from day one.
I love how the characters intertwine and of course, a strong female main character. I think of all the books in the Logan McKenna series, Vanishing Day had the most characters I really just warmed up to.
If you haven't read any of Valerie Davisson's writing but you enjoy a fast paced, thrilling storyline, I definitely recommend giving her writing a try. 5 out of 5 stars for this one!

Valerie Davisson is one of my favorite crime/mystery/thriller writers. Logan is a character that I cannot wait to read about her case. She grabs me from the first page until the last. There were many twists and turns that kept me reading, The story is a fast pace but again I had to make sure that I read everything because it is easy to miss one little clue that you could come to a conclusion that was a twist or a turn in the wrong direction. With every page, I felt like I was with Logan throughout the story. Logan is trying to solve another mystery that brings her choice of a friend in check. Logan doesn't realize that her friend is not her friend. She needs to bring out a killer and has looked deeper than ever before. Can Logan bring the killer to justice? Will she get out from underneath this case? I highly recommend this book because it will leave you speechless.

The more books I read in the Logan McKenna Series, the more hooked I get! The fourth book, Vanishing Day, finds our heroine/musician/amateur sleuth, Logan McKenna, investigating the brutal attack of her neighbor. I love that Valerie Davisson not only captures the mystery and drama in her stories, but also touches on sensitive subjects; this book involves spousal abuse and the effects, physically and mentally, of that abuse. This book had me captivated and on the edge of my seat till the very end. The same wonderfully realistic characters return and the vivid detailing and creative, original world building is front and center in this dramatic, edge-of-your-seat thriller. Once again, Vanishing Day, as well as the other books in the series, can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading them in order to fully appreciate the connection between the books.

This was another great read of Logan, and her suspenseful intriguing seems to always be where the action happens series. This time thou the book hit me a little too hard I think, as someone who has been in the situation as her neighbour with spousal abuse it took me a little bit longer to read then I hoped for. the information on the psychology and mental and how hard these situations can be very true, and I had fond myself putting this book down quite a bit. Getting out of that type of situation is hard and I loved how Logan is so helpful to Lori because so many times people just urn and walk away. The love Logan had for Lori and her daughter was very heart warming. This book was very well written and the way the characters are so well developed in this one was great. This book did keep my attention thou and held me till the end. I can’t wait to read the next one.

This is book #4. I could not put this book down. It had me on pins and needles all the way through the book. There is a part in the book that I didn’t expect to be so descriptive because the writer does not really do that, but its towards the end of the book. It gave me mixed emotions all the way through. I laughed, cried, worried, laughed some more and cried some more. I can not stress this enough, You need to read the series from the start of book 1 til book 7. While I did enjoy each book on their own, I feel like I wouldn’t be so torn about Logan McKenna and her need to be so nosy. Mostly because in this one, she was put into a very bad situation and she had to fight for survival….I promise you each book brings you closer to Logan McKenna and how she is so helpful to those who ask ( or don’t ask) for her help.

This is the fourth book in the Logan McKenna mystery series by Valerie Davisson. A woman and her three-year old daughter go into hiding from her abusive hedge fund manager husband. Lori moves in next door to Logan McKenna and they become friends. Lori's husband shows up attacks her and tries to kidnap their daughter Shannon. As Lori clings to life in the hospital, Shannon is the only eyewitness to the attack. Logan holds the only clue, but has no idea how dangerous it is. Logan discovers her new friend isn't who she says she is. Logan helps Detective Andrews solve the mystery of her new neighbor Lori's attack and who she really is. This emotionally charged story takes place in the Pacific Northwest about a heroine, Logan becomes entangled in a violent mystery after her new neighbor is brutally attacked. I really enjoyed this amazing crime fiction thriller novel.

Logan McKenna was a music teacher that befriended her new neighbor. The new neighbor and her daughter are certainly not who they seem to be. They’re definitely running from something—or someone—as she has the evidence. It’s not too clear what’s going on, but it lends some interest and inspires you to read on.

Story had an easy narrative, but it takes a while to settle in. It was a little too involved in the history and attributes of the characters, which kind of hindered the story. You’d think that the different character views would give more to the story, but it just felt too sporadic to me. It needed a faster pace and more clarity. Not quite as exciting as I anticipated, but it was a nicely written mystery.

This is the 4th book in the Logan McKenna series and these books keep getting better and better. I love that they have a strong female lead character and the characters are so well written it feels like you are actually there.

In this book Logan is dragged into a mystery that she never imagined when her new neighbour ends up in hospital. Was this a random incident or is something not adding up with her new neighbour. Logan starts to think that the neighbour isn't what she seems to be and starts on a path to draw out her attacker. But how dangerous is the path she is walking and should she really be involving herself in something she doesn't understand.

Its a gripping story full of twists and turns that keeps you guessing.

Vanishing Day was such a good book, part of the Logan McKenna series. It does not have to be read as part of the series, it can be enjoyed as a stand alone. I have read a couple books in the series, but not in order. Logan always seems to find herself in crazy situations. Being neighborly and friendly soon leads to someone trying to kill her. This book was fast paced and I didn't want to put it down. I like that we got to sort of see both sides of things. Some chapters focus on Logan, and others on her neighbor Lori, and others from the point of view of Lori's ex. I highly recommend, and have already started another book by the author. They are thriller, but without being scary. The characters do experience domestic abuse, so bit of a trigger warning.

I’m really enjoying reading the Logan McKenna Mystery/Thriller series. I was lucky enough to start from the beginning of this series.
Vanishing Day is about a subject that might be hard for some to understand. Being abused by your husband is not what anyone expects to happen to them. I’m sure getting out of that situation can be very difficult. I appreciate the way the author portrayed Lori and her daughter Shannon’s situation and what Lori is trying to do for her daughter.
Overall, like the other Logan McKenna stories, the author does a great job of world and character building. There are many twists and turns in the story which keeps things interesting. Looking forward to reading the next book.
