It has been a long journey of self-discovery for my mom; she has gone from domestic supermom to domestic goddess throughout the process of writing.

Freaking Fantastic!!
Shane Toups and Teddy Trahan are back with a BANG!!
These two are still my ultimate Dynamic Duo.
I absolutely love this Authors writing style her stories just draw me in from the first page. From the engaging plot and fantastic characters, The Youngblood series is by far one of my favourites.
Restitution maybe a continuation of Shane and Jolie's story but without Teddy there is no Shane, that's just how I see it.
I LOVE them both, I have zero chill and I can't have one without the other.
Shane and Jolie Arrrrgggghhhh!!! What the hell is going on, I wanted to scream at them both, they seriously need to sort their sh!t out but what a freaking phenomenal nail biting journey they are taking us on. It was never going to be an easy ride for these two. To much has happened for hearts and flowers their past is still to raw.
Tensions are high in this book as love and hate collide. Shane has his walls up, he simply will not allow himself to feel vulnerable again. Yes, he was an Ass at times but it's justified.
I actually felt his pain. Betrayal is a bitter pill to swallow.
Jolie has grown on me more after this book, I saw a little bit of her fighting spirit coming through. I have high hopes for her and Shane they've still got a way to go but I truly believe they can make it......maybe.
Ooooooh!!! Gabriel Stern is on TOP FORM during this book, To be the Boss! It certainly has it perks. It reminds me why I bloody love him.
That cliffy was spectacular talk about leaving you wanting more, I need the next book like NOW!! 💖
Gunner definitely has my attention, his story is gonna break me as I learn his secrets. I love him already.

Freaking really!!!!!
REALLY! I am just about to loose it right now! I have sat here and read this book all day and I don’t get an ending!! I hate when an author makes you dislike the main character. I really am not liking Shane at all. I know he was devastated and he wants revenge, but he is so one sighted he makes it very hard to like him or even feel for him. I don’t know what to think. I want to give this 2 stars because I am mad, but that isn’t right. I guess I am on the hook till the next one is released.

I didn’t read the first couple’s book because I wasn’t in the mood to read another sexist crap where the guy is practically a walking sexually transmitted disease and there’s another pathetic virginal stereotype. So I skipped straight to the second book which is the first in the trilogy between Shean (H) and Jolie (dooooormat h):
Fifteen years ago h left pregnant after being threatened and harassed several times by H's best friend and after seeing H kill a man with his own hands after a fight (I don't know about you, but I certainly wouldn't want a man like that close to my son too) anyway..
Years pass and after all this time she comes back because she needs protection for their son.
I was hoping to read a story about the mafia but I wasn't. Just another cliché. Do you hope that after she left he would suffer a lot or regret something? NOP. He manages to join the mafia family, which's what he always wanted, becomes the owner of a sex club and enjoys many, many, many, many, many other women (often several of them at the same time) and even shares some of them with the best friend (the H of first book, and still best friend, who separated him from the great love of his life and who confessed to sleeping with h, which was a lie, but H didn’t know that) So yes, we have the hypocritical camaraderie ever, "h" is a bitch who abandoned him and his best friend is the "brother" who helped H get rid of the trash. Oh and h for all these years he was vegetating because of H and was just with one man who of course, was another abusive idiot.🤦♀️
So she is back, he's furious because she left bla, bla, bla, never will forgive her bla bla bla has sex with other women, gets excited while massaging his best friend's pregnant wife in front of the h, kisses make out with the same woman and still lust after his boss's wife. All this while he treats h as disposable garbage during the 3 books and she is wrapped around him like a pathetic puppy with attention crumbs. If there is any romance here I am still waiting to read.
The adorable scene ahead is between H and OW / Fallon (his boss's wife) after he has reunited with h again and his son:

Knocking on the door, Jeffery opens it but it’s Fallon who welcomes me in, being the perfect lady of the estate.
“Shane, it’s good to see you. It’s been a while since you’ve been by.”

She nods and I decide to change the subject. If there is any woman out there who can take away my worries it would be her and after the failed attempt from the woman in my bed last night, I could sure use a guaranteed distraction and flirting with Fallon has always been a fun past time."
“Where’s Gabriel? He wanted to see me.”
“He’s in his office, waiting for you.”
Lifting a brow, I tell her, “Well in that case, you’re looking beautiful as ever, Fallon.”
Deciding to take advantage, I lean down and kiss her hand, instantly feeling her shudder, which brings a smile to my face. Fallon is an incredible woman, perfect for every aspect of this life. And as such, it takes a hell of a man to handle a woman like her, someone like her husband, Gabriel or someone like me. That tiny shudder tells me, she knows it, too. It also tells me there is a mutual appreciation between us. It’s the same reason she pulls her hand out of mine quickly and why she always tries to keep an appropriate distance but always teetering right on the edge. With me though, there is nowhere she can run.
Shame really, if mommy dearest wouldn’t have handpicked her for Gabriel, handing her over to him on a silver platter, she’d be mine if I’d chosen for her to be. Her beauty might precede her, but the first night I met her, I saw just enough mystery to hold my interest. But Catherine did, and she is his. I’ll respect it but I can still enjoy the attraction we have for each other because it’s definitely double sided.
“Come on, Gabriel’s waiting. Would you like me to show you the way?”
This is how we’re going to play this?She knows I know the way but who am I to deny her?
“You may show me anything you’d like.”
Fallon gives me an almost conniving smile. She’s the kind of woman who relishes in knowing a man is attracted to her. She believes I’m in her web. Wrapping my arm around her waist, I pull her close to my side as we start walking towards Gabriel’s office. Does she honestly not realize that her breathe hitches when I touch her or that her skin becomes flushed? I bet if I slid my hand down to her wrist her pulse rate would be escalated. How much is she lying to herself? This is my game, my web. A woman like Fallon attracts many men but it takes a beast of a man to attract her. She only gets wet for men that are titans. Men that are stone cold and reek of power and are very assured of themselves.
The webs people weave and the deceit we tell ourselves is one of the things I’ve hated most in my life. It’s also how I make money, how I rose to the top. It’s what my whole business is based on.
I fulfill needs, wants, and desires. They go to work, church, and they live a normal life built on lies. I allow them to escape their reality and live out their debauchery. I give them the fantasy and in return, I own them; turning everyone’s desires against them only for my benefit. Fallon might be a seductress, but I am the master. Hedonism is an art; one I take full advantage of. Using pleasure as my tool. Catherine taught Fallon well, but I’m sure there is so much more she can learn. Does Gabriel use her to her full potential? Does he milk her dry when he’s between her legs? Does he know all her buttons to push in order to bring her to the stars and moon then let her land safely in his arms? So many questions I would love to discover. But they all vanish when we come upon Gabriel’s door and then a single thought of Jolie pops into my head. One of me, barely scratching the surface on her sexual discovery. I wonder if she ever found man to explore her fantasies with. It brings on a rage in me like no other. Those explorations should’ve only have been with me. I would have made damn sure she discovered each and every one."

This and MANY OTHER scenes show that if you want to read a book about a man tormented by the loss of the great love of his life, this is definitely not the book for you. 🤢🤮🤦♀️

Woah! What did I say after Monique's last book? That was her best book so far? Wrong! This book is her best book 🤭.
Yeah, ok, maybe I said it before, but ohhhh my God, this whole series is just so unbelievable nerve-wracking and exciting, just perfect 😍
This book took my free will and didn't let me stop reading, trust me I tried 🤷🏻♀️

This book is so much more than just a mafia romance.
This book is a never-ending gripping and heartbreaking trip in the crazy world of "The Family" life.
You dive not only into the world of alpha mafia bosses and their criminal manipulations, but also into the depth of their strange relationship with their wives and each other.
The power battles and internal conflicts in this story are taken to complete other dimensions. This book is not just interesting and gripping, but also full of fearful and dangerous mind games.
You're constantly waiting for the disaster to happen.
Don't expect any niceties from this book. This book is brutal and has no mercy for your feelings (or the author has none 😡, right Monique?).
Monique is actually able to make you hate your favorite character from the previous book 🤨.

This part of the series is Shane's and Jolie's second book. Their complicated relationship begins in their teens and has left nothing but pain and scars. It's a very emotional story about lies and actions that can't be forgiven or forgotten. It's not a HEA story, although I really hope they will have one in their next book, because they really earned one like no one else.
Yes, you have to read the other books in the series to understand the background and dynamic of this story, but when you like mafia romances, this is definitely a must read for you.
This is without doubt a must read for all mafia fans.

WOW, I knew this was going to be explosive but dayum.
My gal Fallon did not shine in this one; channeling Catherine a little too hard. Jolie kinda redeemed herself and Sean will be a force to be reckoned with.

Mind blown! I knew this book was gonna be crazy book but I didn’t expect the cliffhanger ending to be what it is and all the twist that lead up to it. Monique as a way that draws you in and will leave you hanging to the answers. I need book 3 now bc I need to know what is gonna happen between Shane and Jo.

Ok so I'm not even sure what to say or where to start.. My poor mind is still trying to figure out the ending and what is to happen next..
So I was happy to have more Shane and Jolie but this one is so much more then that. There's so much tension in this book. I mean Shane has it towards Jolie and vice versa, Sean has it towards Shane, Shane has it towards Teddy since Jolie and Sean are so close. I mean it was the perfect amount and made for an amazing shaking your head book. Shane is hurt and honestly has every reason to be. Since's he hurt, he does what any man would do and act out towards the ones he loves. Both him and Jolie are different people then what they were as kids. Shane has a reputation and has a name for himself in town. Jolie is a shell of the woman she once was. Her past is coming back to haunt her and it doesn't help that Shane is treating her like crap. Yes she's trying to find herself again and protect her son from the likes of the family. This has twists and turns at every page. It has so much tension but it also has a heart. I mean soon the heart has shed some layers, right? This book I so wish I could give more then 5 stars because it was that GOOD!!!!!!

Restitution was a drama filled continuation of the Youngblood series. This book kept me in frustration from the beginning to the non-ending cliff hanger. If you don't like cliff hanger and resolved issues wait to read and then BINGE READ them.. You don't want to miss out on this series. The writing, characters and story line are not to be missed. Although, I must say the characters who are painted as the least mature, have become the most mature including the 15 year old kid!! lol but that's the drama and the angst. Her previous action from other books were not as present in this book as it focused on Jolie and Shane's relationship dramas. There were some glimpses into the business world but not like the other. I missed this part of the story, and the reason I did 4.5 stars instead of 5.

OMG, the author has done it again. What a total mind blowing book. The twists and turns, a roller coaster of emotions, what is going to happen to Jolie now and her plans is anyone’s guess. The author is correct about how we may react to this book. Do I want to scream and yell, throw it across the room? At times yes, but I continued to read on because I couldn’t put it down.
Jolie and Shane have to get their sh*t together. I think Shane is overreacting to Jolie’s leaving him years ago. This is another awesome and amazing book by Monique. It has plenty of drama, it’s well written, the storyline is fantastic, and keeps the reader interested as to what will happen next. I can’t express how much I love this authors work. It’s spectacular.❤️❤️
OMG, the author has done it again. What a total mind blowing book. The twists and turns, a roller coaster of emotions, what is going to happen to Jolie now and her plans is anyone’s guess. The author is correct about how we may react to this book. Do I want to scream and yell, throw it across the room? At times yes, but I continued to read on because I couldn’t put it down.

When you read books by the same author sometime things start to repeat or it’s like oh Timmy fell down the well again 🤷🏼♀️. Monique does NOT have this problem it’s always different and it makes you feel emotionally for the characters. This story picked up right where the last ended and it’s just as great!

Monique has done it again!!!....This book grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go even at the end. Shane and Jolies relationship is full of passionate hate, passionate love, lust, lies, deceit and regret.
Monique has a way that literally drags you into the characters lives and I would so love to intervene and band their heads together. Their son Sean is in a very difficult position ..... loves his mum but hates his dad but I'm hoping things come good for them all. They all fit well in the Stern family and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Monique Orgeron is a writing genius!!

Where does one even begin.... after patiently waiting for the 2nd part of Shane and Jolie’s story, Monique blew it out of the water with this one! The 2nd part of their story builds you up and gives you hope that maybe just maybe things will work out for Shane and Jolie. Only in true Monique style she takes that hope, throws it on the floor and stomps all over it. My heart broke all over again for them both. We start to see the old side of Jolie that Shane fell in love with come through, but only sneak peeks of it. We see a little more of Gabriel and Fallon in the book, and see how well that have both come into their roles being the head of the family. The last interaction in the book between Jolie and Fallon and then Jolie and Gabriel will leave you with your mouth gaping open and going..wow... have you walked right to the edge of the cliff and left hanging. Another brilliant and amazing book by Monique. Hands down 5 stars.

Restitution by Monique Orgeron is book 3 in the Youngblood Series. This continues the story of Shane and Jolie. This series is not a standalone series at all. Although it is a spin off of the Stern Family Saga you must at least read the books in this series (YoungBlood) to fully understand what is happening with these characters.
Shane is still trying to come to turns with finding out that Jolie left him with their child that he didn't know about. Of course Shane wants to get to know his son but is having a hard time dealing with his past feeling for Jolie and his new ones of angry from what she did. Now it seems that something else is going on that was kept from him which of course has put his son in danger along with Jolie.
Their story can't be confined in this book and so we will have another installment that I can't wait for!

How HAWT is this cover??? Monique does it again. Another 5 star read that I could not put down! There’s not much I can say without giving anything away... this one is a page turner, y’all! Ashlynn.... I love the relationship she has with Shane. And Fallon.... my dear sweet Fallon.... She is truly a Stern now! This book has a lot of twists and turns in it and gives us a little more history on Shane’s & Jolie’s past. This is not a standalone! You’ll need to read the first two books of the Youngbloods Series!!

Every time I read one of these of books it has a way of pulling me in and pulling my emotions from one place to the next. This book Gets my heart and head going against each other to make me dislike or like one if the charters or not. The intense action packed that will pull you in every direction and keep you wanting more and more and will leave you breathless with waiting

This is the second book of Shane and Jolie and it is amazing! You feel all the angst and feel you wanna slap both Shane and Jolie. I love this book and all the feels. I can’t help loving Teddy more in this and you definitely get to see how Sean feels in this book. With that cliffhanger we are stuck on, it will make you want the next book, like right now!

I stayed up most of the night to read this book and I have just finished it. I can categorically say it is absolutely phenomenal. I hardly took a breath and my heart was thumping from begining to end. It is a complete wow and now I cant sleep even though it is 4am lol. This is definately a must read.

What can I say that woman nearly killed me tonight. As I’m sitting there reading, the angst is building, the cards are being laid out on the table (literally and figuratively), my heart is pounding against my chest and I finally released a breathe I had no idea I was even holding. Talk about being lightheaded. I have never in my life read a book with so much suspense, desire, hate and love.

There is so much about this book that made me want to yell and cry at the same time. So much angst that it made my heart hurt. Forget the Kleenex and just grab the liquor or wine. You will need it. Beautifully written. Monique takes what you know and twists it up in a ball. But we wouldn't want it any other way.

Restitution is the second part of Jolie and Shane's story no closer to sorting out the unholy mess surrounding them no restoration or recompense here. Shane broken unable to forgive Jolie, Jolie broken unable to move beyond what she has done. Unable to comunicate just stuck, unable to move to a place of understanding. Sean the child stuck in the middle of his parents pain.
Tragic, pained and painful sums up the impasse that is Shane and Jolie.
Roll on part three fingers crossed for a happy conclusion if two people need no deserve a life of joy it's these two. Somehow I think the road has a few more bumps and curves before this happens.

I don't even know where to begin with Restitution. I will say that it is not a stand alone. Your really need to read the first 2 in the Youngblood series. (Then go read the Stern Family saga if you haven't already.) Shane and Jolie are still trying to find a way to be around each other. Teddy is trying to get Shane to forgive him. Shane is trying to forge a new relationship with Sean and figure out how to keep everyone alive and Gabriel happy. All of that with some 3 Card Monte and homemade pizza and cake thrown in the mix. Monique is just truly brilliant in her story telling and she will have your feelings running an emotional roller coaster. I devoured this book in one day and I'm already salivating for the next one, because in true Monique fashion, she ended the book on a "WTF just happened" moment!

OMG!!! This book kept me on my toes. So much happening and lots of stuff to keep track of. I felt like I was in a tennis match, but in a good way. This story kept me on the edge of my seat. I can’t believe that I have to wait to find out how Shane and Jolie’s story ends. Love this author. Love this series. Each book gets better and better!!!! Highly recommend!!

First off, OMG! What a cliffhanger! I need the next book ASAP! This is Shane and Jolie's story, and, in my opinion, this is the best book in the series (even though they are all great)! As always with this amazing author, we get a story packed with twists and turns! I was so engrossed in this book that I read the entire thing in just one sitting! I simply could not put it down! If you haven't yet read any of Monique's books, stop what you are doing and one click them all! I promise you will be glad you did!

OH my gosh. This book is off the chain. He still is hurting after finding out the Jolie is back and with his son. A son who she never told him about. She is still hard headed and strong willed however she still loves him while he hates her. He tries to make a connection with his son who is a teenager. He is trying and teddy helps too.
The Story is soo good I loved it I hope Jolie and Shane fixes this mess. They deserve a HEA.
