This was a great story, both main characters have been deeply hurt in the past and because of that they have difficulties to accept relationship because loving someone, being near to someone means taking the risk to loose those we got attached to...they felt that loss and are not ready to be confronted to that again.
However they do are courageous, they are not giving up they still want to try their best to save other...simply they protect they heart.
Loneliness recognize loneliness though and slowly they do start to confide in each other... it was moving to see they do baby steps as trust was building in a lovely Hawai setting.
If you want to change your mind with a cute romance, wonderful characters this is one for you

I really enjoyed my trip to Hawaii, MS Douglass has written a story filled with emotion and love as we get to meet Dr. Leilani Kim and Dr. Holden Ross as they find love and happiness even though it was the last thing either of them wanted but the chemistry between them was way too hard to ignore.
Leilani had survived a tragic car accident twenty years ago and made a decision to get out there and help other people when she could and is now heading up the emergency department in a big hospital, finding love is not on her horizon, but when a new locum arrives she cannot help the pull she has to this man and a day of sight -seeing with him ups the heat and maybe a fling is what she needs.
Holden has been through a terrible tragedy and tends now to take locum positions so as not to settle down there are way too many scars inside and out for that but being in Hawaii and meeting the beautiful Leilani is changing how he feels so he agrees to a fling only that is not enough he needs more.
For two people who didn’t want permanent these two found it in such a beautiful way, MS Douglass has dug deep into the emotions of Leilani and Holden and helped them find the happiness they deserve, I thoroughly enjoyed this one, it is a beautifully written medical romance that is sure to leave readers very happy and I can highly recommend it.

Their Hot Hawaiian Fling by Traci Douglass is a fantastic romance by Traci Douglass.
I love this author's medical romance books and this is no exception.
Dr. Leilani Kim has spent her whole life caring for others. The job for head of Emergency Medicine is up for grabs and Dr. Kim has been waiting for this ...except she has some competition.
Dr. Holden Ross is new in Honolulu and has his eyes on the same position as Dr. Kim.
The author does a wonderful job with the descriptions of Hawaii . I have never been there, but I felt like I was immersed in its tropical locale.
The passion between these to doctors was well written. I loved this rivals to lovers trope.
Both characters are well written , complex, flawed and well fleshed out.
The story was perfectly paced. I appreciated that the characters were broken and flawed yet relatable.
A great romance I highly recommend.

I must admit I love visiting Traci’s Anchorage Mercy Hospital series set in Alaska. I wasn’t sure I wanted to visit Hawaii. I know that sounds crazy. I just like revisiting past characters. I loved the visualization Traci was able to provide with Their Hot Hawaiian Fling. She really made me feel as though I was in the pages of the book.
With Leilani and Holden already experiencing the worst moments in their lives, I wasn’t sure where this story was going to go. I loved that the story was unpredictable until it wasn’t. As far as the characters go, I won’t say that they are my favorites. But I understand them. I understand why they came off as being initially closed off and guarded in the beginning. I understand Leilani’s need for control and Holden’s need to protect. I loved that they let their guard down for each other. Traci definitely provided a heartstopping moment but was able to put everything back together with a very nice happily ever after.

Leilani Kim is an ER doctor at Honolulu’s Ohana Medical Center. A job she loves and she hopes to become the ER’s director in the near future. She’s not interested in relationships and falling in love. She loved and lost her family twenty years ago , and the pain of loving and losing again is not one she wants to repeat.
Holden Ross is new in Honolulu. For the past year he’s been working as a temporary physician around the country. A job he prefers after almost being killed a year ago and losing a dear friend. He too is opposed to falling in love for fear of losing them in the long run.
But fate has it’s own agenda and as these two get to know each other, will a fling be enough? Will that same fate destroy the chance of finding true love?
This was an engaging story with lovely descriptions of Honolulu and touching moments as well.
Reminding us that our past does in fact affect how we view our present and future. But do we let it control us or do we take a chance of finding happiness?

Flings aren't all bad, especially when you have an itch but aren't ready for more. At least that's what they told themselves. He is only there temporarily and can't open himself up to more because of recent trauma. She has built up walls from a trauma from childhood. Both think they can't do more but time shows them otherwise. A great story from this author who loves to work our emotions while revealing her characters and their flaws, their pain, their heartbreak. I love her characters and love her style. Always looking forward to her next release.

Beautiful Hawaii is the setting for this well written and entertaining story. Leilani is a dedicated ER doctor concentrating on her career but when she meets Holden will her future ambitions change? I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

What a wonderful story of learning how to open yourself up to love again after tragedy.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a medical romance but there is more to the story than just scenes taking place at the hospital.
