I have never read anything like this beautiful book. My heart has been so sad since Mary Oliver passed away, and this collection is the only new material I have read lately that even compares to what the world lost in Oliver. It is priced so well. It is an actual nature poetry masterpiece. I have read this author’s first 2 books and while I love them... this book is on a whole other level. Many long pieces. Old fashioned. Almost Emily Dickinson like. Then there are these shorter poems throughout that have multiple possible meanings. My favorite pieces are “The Language of the Trees” and “Heart on Fire.” I am buying this book for my family members this Christmas. I can’t wait for another book from her. Why is this book not in every bookstore?

Such strong imagery

This is poetry that makes you feel all the imagery and senses and emotions! Her sentences are perfectly strung together to evoke the sensations of the universe and Mother Nature. This is for all the moonchilds and spiritual souls who are also hopeless romantics. Loved every page! Definitely recommend this one
