In a grand Victorian mansion, the spirit of the festive season seems dim for Harlow Hill. Usually a Christmas enthusiast, she finds her passion for the season waning at the idea of facing the holidays alone.
Meanwhile, Harris Porter is determined to bypass the yuletide cheer to seal a significant business deal. For Harris, Christmas signifies an unwelcome pause in his pursuit of success and a disruption to his profit-driven schedule rather than a time of joy and celebration.
But Santa has other plans. As the Man in Red works his timeless magic through a heartfelt letter, Harlow and Harris are rediscovering the holiday's wonder–together. Can a simple Christmas missive and the enchanting allure of the holiday season rewrite both Harlow and Harris' agendas and let the season bestow upon them an unforeseen, love-filled miracle? If you love the Hallmark Channel (specifically Christmas movies) this book is for you!!! A feel good, lovely romantic story filled with Christmas magic and heart warming moments. I got goosebumps a couple of times, it was so cute!! Characters you just love & relationships to envy. Definitely recommend if you’re in need of a quick, happy story that will keep you smiling.
Thank you Katie for bringing Christmas back! I enjoyed this book so much that I read it straight through and then was sorry to see it end. This will a go to Christmas book for me.
I didn't connect with this story the way I did with The Worst Christmas Wife. For much of the book, it felt like someone describing a Hallmark movie (like audio description on television) and I felt like I was on the outside looking in. The characters seemed to feel more emotion about Christmas and their Christmas memories than they did for each other. There were some touching and thoughtful ideas and I did like how the story ended. A little aside for me. The MCs name was Harris Porter. I read it as Harry Potter every time. I showed every member of my family and they did the same. I just thought it was a strange choice.
I loved this book also. I just found Katie this season so I am enjoying all of her books that I can. These books are wonderful holiday books. So much thought goes into them and so much love. This one also was so beautiful. Harlow and Harris were both fantastic characters. I can't say much more than I already have but don't miss any of these wonderful holiday romances!
It may be a great romance, but was, for me, written in such a way that it wasn’t easy to get into, or hold my interest. It felt a little too juvenile for me, so it could be the intended target audience is young adults.
This book was so heart warming. It really showed the joy and beauty of Christmas! Reading it out me in a joyful Christmas mood! Absolutely loved it!!100% recommend!!
I have to confess that I don't usually read Christmas books. This book and story changed my bah-humbug attitude. The characters were delightful. The story was charming. A magical Christmas tale.
