Federal Agents of Magic Boxed Set 1: Books 1-4

Rate this book

FBI Agent Diana Sheen is an agent with a secret...

Find out her secret in this 4-book boxed set full of action, intrigue, and tons of magic!

Magic Ops:

…she carries a badge and a troll, along with a little magic. But her Most Wanted List is going to take a little extra effort. She’ll have to embrace her powers and up her game to take down new threats,

Not to mention deal with the troll that’s adopted her.

All signs point to a serious threat lurking just beyond sight, pulling the strings to put the forces of good in harm’s way.

Magic or mundane, you break the law, and Diana’s gonna find you, tag you and bring you in.

Watch out magical baddies, this agent can level the playing field.

It’s all in a day’s work for the newest Federal Agent of Magic.

Agents of Mayhem:

New city, new troubles. It’s going to take all the magic Special Agent Diana Sheen can gather to keep the peace.

But will it be enough?

Diana runs a secret Federal agency that combats magic mixed with wicked. Her team cleans up the worst streets, disguised as bounty hunters.

Challenge #1 is a small troll and his ongoing obsession with action films. Good thing he’s a helluva fighter too.

Still, is it enough? Dark magic has a new twist born from an ancient cult and they’re playing for keeps.

Good thing Agent Sheen knows how to play rough.

It’s all in a day’s work at the secret bureau of the Federal Agents of Magic.

Counter Ops:

Special Agent Diana Sheen runs a secret agency…

…locked squarely in the crosshairs of a magical conspiracy far greater than she’d imagined.

The bad guys are seeking artifacts to increase their power, and it feels like they’re leading up to something big.

Can she stop them in time?

The attacks are getting personal. Other bureaus have taken heavy losses, and only her team’s magical abilities have kept them from the same fate.

That includes a troll uncovering magical do-gooders or an acerbic Drow learning to use her magic.

Everything is getting better, including their gear thanks to Kayleigh.

But is better good enough? No way to tell, except by putting boot to tail.

Magic or mundane, you hurt people in their town, and FAM is gonna bring you down.

It’s all in a day’s work at the newest bureau of the Federal Agents of Magic.

Agents of Chaos:

Special Agent Diana Sheen has been targeted…

…by magical villains determined to bring her and her agency down.

The bad guys have something big planned, and like a storm over the horizon, she can feel it coming but doesn’t know how bad it will turn out to be.

The answer? Really, really bad. Diana and her team will need to be at the top of their game to survive.

The heat is rising, but Diana won’t abandon her responsibilities. No way, no how.

I’m TR Cameron, science fiction author. I’ve been an avid consumer of the genre since I was six, I think, when I broke the seal on my Dad’s copies of the Asimov Foundation books. It’s been all downhill since then.

I have a day job that I love most days, and writing is pretty much my only consistent hobby. When I find time that’s not already filled with my wife, my daughter, my writing, my work, or dodging the affections of our clowder of cats, you can find me playing video games (currently Dishonored 2 – I’m a little behind the times on this one), watching things (Marvel movies, American Gods, Agents of Shield, Justified, The Expanse, Gotham), playing board games, or, naturally, reading.

My favorite authors in Sci-Fi are David Weber, Jean Johnson, John Scalzi, CJ Cherryh, and the giants: Asimov, Pohl, Bear, Heinlein, etc. I read a lot in other genres too, and am a big fan of Matthew Woodring Stover, Michael Anderle, Jim Butcher, and I could go on and on and on. If I had to choose one favorite, though, it would be Stephen R. Donaldson, whose Thomas Covenant series was transformative for me.

Probably my pie-in-the-sky dream for my writing career is that someone would make a movie or television show of my books and I could be a part of the production. Sure, unlikely, but a clowder-dodger can dream, right? My more practical dream is that I can keep writing and both entertaining and connecting with my readers for years and years to come.

Lots of action and a troll 😉

This was an interesting story, and I liked the MC, Diana, as well as the motley crew of agents that have been assembled for ARES (aka BAM). Bryant is a bit mysterious, a bit of a jerk, but a great agent. There seems to be some sparkage between him and Diana, but we’ll have to see if it leads to anything.

The Remembrance was a great antagonist for the story. The battles were action packed, but my one problem was that there seemed to be no real consequences for their actions. The ‘good guys’ get thrown all around, and yet only end up bruised and even the few broken bones seem to heal ridiculously quickly (healing potion, I know, but that just seems like a cop out). And my other issue was with how much the story dragged on.

Still I want to see where the authors take us on this crazy journey.

Thrilling Action Box set

These books will keep you captivated from start to finish. The stories of Diana and her BAM team are intriguing. The action is non-stop, and gives us the villains views as well. I really like the characters, as they are all solid and motivated. Rath and Max are awesome! I hope to see more of all these characters and follow along with their training and growth. Very satisfying read.

Great series. I admit I had a hard time catching on with the first book but kept at it!

The second book really pulled me into the story. I enjoyed the build up from book 1 to 4, now I'm hooked. I already have the next 4 books and am looking forward to the evolution of all the characters. Rath and Max were a huge reason I read beyond the first book. I want to see how the rest grow! Very cool, read on!

Was a little difficult to get into. Usually if a book cannot keep my attention or create a decent visual in my imagination I move on.

I did struggle and I really didn't get into this series until the 3 rd book. Im glad I stuck in there because it's a reality good series. So if you find yourself not liking the books give it a little extra time and I think you will find it worth it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this romp through cities we recognize that are populated by heroes and villains both normal and with magical powers. The characters, human and otherwise are well described believable. This a boxed set of 4 books that gets you hooked right away and is hard to put down!

It was ok. Some of the ideas were good. Others needed some work. The character interaction is just flat. Too much explaining when actions would have done a better/more enjoyable job. Not horrible, but not really worth the read.

I couldn't find this on Amazon to review. I read book 1 and then I got the boxed set.
I really enjoyed this part in the the OPS series. I'm not familiar with the books that this is a spinoff, but I got into it pretty fast. If the later books are like the first four, I'll be happy.

Cool but I can do without the fighting descriptions

Too many descriptions of every job, kick and punch I can do without. Give me a story line that I can follow.

Really cute storyline but while I can't put my finger on it, there was something missing for me. The looks are consistent and captivating reading.
