It was okay. I’m still committed to seeing this series to its conclusion, but lately the plot has been dragging. I normally enjoy the emotional drama playing out between the characters, and I would have loved to have seen more of that between the characters who are spending the majority of the time now in Ente Isla. Instead we get a few snapshots of their going-ons, and a ton of (one-sided) relationship drama between Chiho and Maou. Chiho played a big role in the action that took place in this volume, but it was really disappointing and annoying how much everything she did was fueled entirely by her feelings for Maou. The volume could have been so much better without that emphasis.

While the plot on the Earth side was a bit lacking and slow, the Ente Isla side was very nice, Chiho got her time in the spotlight, it's been a while! I'm sure this arc will drag on for a while, but it's still an interesting one.

I’m getting tired of the general non-action and talk about serious things. I’ve stuck with the series so far and I want to see how it turns out, but the story is getting a little slow and character development kind of stalled.

While there was more action than in Volume 15. It seems like the Story is getting dragged out before a conclusion. It is nice to see more of the side characters doing stuff, SO it's not just Mao or Emi doing the heavy lifting. That said I hope the next few novels pick-up the pace

Not as much action as I was expecting in this volume but amusing all the same.

I'm unsure if the plot even makes much sense at this point, but this book is a fun enough adventure, all things considered.
