I lost the one person who gave my life meaning and purpose. My love. My soul. My only reason for breathing. Unwilling to bury her memory, my heart turned reckless and my soul darkened. Then she walked into my life.
It was only supposed to be a moment.
Just one.
A moment where I could get lost in someone else and forget my pain.
In that one moment, she saved me from the memories that found me in the dark. She tore my world apart. Wrecked me. And with one kiss, she changed everything. Her love became my dark paradise.

HONESTLY, I WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS. THAT ENDING KILLED ME AND MADE ME DROPPED A STAR. Now don't get me wrong this story was angsty and I have been looking forward to Gage's story then. Now,after reading it, I am quite disappointed AND IT'S NO ONE'S FAULT BUT MY OWN FOR HAVING HIGH EXPECTATIONS and I guess it shows the kind of character I would be - a coward maybe?
IT TAKES A LOT TO LOVE A BROKEN MAN and this story, Gage himself will test your patience. Most times I wanted Nassa to just give up. Gage broke her heart constantly while I didn't feel like he had enough or was worthy of her love. Even till the end...the bitter goddamned end...I was disappointed with him. There's a reason why I don't like manwhores...and this book just proves why.
GAGE was a beautifully broken character but even reading about his inability to let his dead mate go was... absolutely painful, I won't lie. It's never easy to love someone who is still holding onto their past love and NASSA is constantly compared to a shadow of the woman he loved, his one and only mate. Frankly, till the end despite the author introducing the soul link and all that shit? It still didn't make up for the fact that Nassa feels like second place all her life. Is it wrong of me to think Gage didn't make GENUINE sacrifices enough that proves his love? I don't feel like sacrificing his lion on exchange for Nassa not to be lost to the dark side counts because he did it in a spur. I don't know...I liked Gage better in the previous books.
NASSA didn't feel real enough for me. Yes she was introduced in the prior books but I felt there wasnt enough depth to her. She was like a doormat...a strong doormat. She GIVES AND GIVES that I'm also sick of it, how she let Gage hurt her every time. Now I didn't like that. There's a fine line with having the guts to love someone broken but also allowing them to walk all over you. Personally, if that makes me a cold bitch with high standards? Then I'm sorry. Nassa deserved more than what Gage constantly says he can't. To me, his words were just EXCUSES. Gage kept wallowing in the past, was so defensive and mired in Camilla that even till the end...I couldn't get into their romance. It didn't feel real.
OVERALL my stars was for the emotional rollercoaster but I can't say I enjoyed the painful romance. It's like every chapter was pins and needles and just pain. Even the sex scenes were painful to read. I never imagined I would encounter a book like this, and it is usually why I steer clear of MCs who have lost the love of their lives because the heroine never measures up. Unfortunately.
THAT BEING SAID if you're a closet masochist then this book would be great for you. It's not perfect but still has that angst ya know? Otherwise I wasn't happy with how the characters came together and for once, the male lead didn't prove his worth to me.
OH and if the author wrote out this ending just to kick-start her Academy series featuring the second generation characters...I'm fucking pissed.
Wow. After finishing book five in the Revelation series, reading book six was gut wrenching. You want, heart ache, and twists and dark? Read this book. Gallagher ..... I do not envy you. But man, you will be the man. Read the series. Just do it.
My god I don't even have words to explain how incredibly good this was! I laughed, I cried, I had my heartbreaking and then mended. I absolutely loved Gage in the revelation series and wanted to see him let go of Camilla and find peace and happiness with Nassa when it ended! I'm so glad we got Dark Paradise, a look into Gage and Nassa's love story. It may have been a lot darker then Asher and Eve's but it was still beautiful! I loved getting to know Nassa better too, she was such a intriguing character and I love the witch and magic elements to her. Also I'm so happy that some very important questions I had at the end of restoration were answered! Would love so much to see more stories from the revelation universe. These characters are truly beautiful and unique and I just can't get enough of them! Thank god I have the royal protector academy series to read now! #teamgage!!
Behind every strong man is an even stronger woman. And Nassa was just the woman Gage needed to show he deserves love. She's courageous and fierce. He deserves devotion and understanding. Consumed by his own darkness and devastation he was blind to what life could be. Their journey is a tug of war of love and apprehension. "Sometimes things have to become lost before they can be found " I loved Gage and Nassa's story. Such heartbreak and soul searching. But the beauty of it was that everyone has a past , but only you can decide your future. Randi Cooley Wilson's books pull me in and make me fall in love with these characters on an extremely emotional level.
I've been waiting for Gage's story for a long time, and let me tell you it was well worth the wait.
Dark Paradise is a beautifully crafted story that takes you on an emotional roller coaster. Digging into the mind of Gage Gallagher is life-changing. He truly is a beautiful contradiction. Reading his pain and heartbreak, I could feel it like I was there with him. I could feel Nassa's hope as she tries desperately to save him from himself.
The beauty of this story is that everyone has a past, but only you can decide your future. Randi Cooley Wilson always pulls me in to her stories and make me fall in love with the characters on an extremely emotional level.
I always know a really good book when I have dreams about the characters it's rare for me.
First book I've read from this author i know I should probably start at the first book to the series but the cover caught my eye and I couldn't put the book down. Moody Gage bad boy tortured soul who can't seem to love anyone or feel like he deserves love . Nassa good witch with bad blood in her veins seems to only know how to love a tortured soul . The epilogue was 20 years later and a little weird to me. I guess I expected Gage and Nassa to be swimming in there own kids by then.I going to read the series but maybe backwards.
I’ve been a fan of Randi Cooley Wilson’s since I first found Revelation (The Revelation Series) Book 1 on Amazon back in 2015, and have read all the books in the Randi’s Gargoyle Universe multiple times since then. I haven’t gotten around to posting a review for this book, so here goes. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and thought it was a good addition to the Gargoyle Universe. I really enjoyed meeting Gage and Nassa in the Revelation Series and I’m glad Randi gave us their story Dark Paradise. Gage’s human mate Camilla was brutally r*ped, then m*rdered and her body was left on Gage’s doorstep. Gage later found out that his father ordered her death. Camilla was taken as a cruel reminder that Gage was the heir to the Paris clan of gargoyles, and his love for a human, the woman that he was assigned to protect, wasn’t allowed. Her death was Gage’s punishment for going against his duties and oaths. After Camilla was m*rdered, Gage walked away from everything, and he became a traitor to the gargoyle race. Until the day the London clan pulled him back into their dark world to protect heaven’s daughter Eve, and a way to get revenge at those that brutally took Camilla from him.
Wow, this book was everything, it’s heartbreakingly beautiful and I shed tears more than a few times of reading this book with all the pain, suffering and torment that both Gage and Nassa went through to get their happily ever after. It definitely seemed like Gage was going to wallow in the darkness of his loss forever. I really wasn’t expecting the length that Gage went to protect Nassa even when he’d only just met her, considering what an a*se he was to her but I suppose that’s part of Gage’s charm lol. I loved the moments with the St. Michael’s, they totally cracked me up and made me smile, especially the conversations between Gage and Asher. Wow, I knew that Nassa was a complete bada*se but she showed how strong truely she is, and the lengths she went to fight for her and Gage’s love no matter what t*rture she endured near the end of the book. She’s totally my hero, and girl crush. I’m really looking forward to reading Isle of Darkness when it’s released, hopefully later this year. Which is the continuation of Striker Gallagher & Umbria Mendoza’s story, as their prequel novella was featured in the Monster Ball Anthology. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
Ok so I'm having to DNF this book, now what I have read to chapter 10 is ok. I'm just tired of Gage being this oh whoa is me character and the number of GD said in this book I'm not about. Like I said Authors can write what they want and I do think the Revelation series by Randi Cooley Wilson is one of the best and sexiest books I've read in a while and yes it had some strong language but the plot story went by so fast and did not really have bad words all the time like this book does. I will not ever agree to anyone who uses Gods Name in Vain. If it is praising the Lord I will be all for it but not in the way this is being used. I would have loved to finish this book and find out about Gage and his Buttercup. Just No can't do it that's to many times Randi please tone it down some.. Seen a lot of books greatly written without cursing.. I'll have to hunt them down... Recommend to adults only.. Sexually and strong language in this.. This is my own feelings and opinion.. Gina Clabo (P.S. for the record I'm not against some small swearing every now and then but if you have it in every sentence or on every other line then no, also look at the people who might get a hold of this to read if you think it's ok for a 7, 8, 9 yr old & up that could get this to read then you have a real problem as a parent...)
The Revelation series is one of my favourite series ever, needles to say I had the release day for Dark Paradise marked on my calendar. Bridging the gap between the Revelation series and the Royal Protector Academy series it follows Gage and Nassa, we learn about his past while he deals with his grief and learns to live and love again.
While I'll always be #TeamAsher and the London clan I loved Gage's story. It is beautiful and tragic and had me gripped from the start. Gage is one dark, sexy, brooding and often frustrating Gargoyle you can't help but love. And Nassa is a powerful, strong and feisty sorceress with the patience of a saint!
Dark Paradise has magic, humor, action and is hot as hell
Randi Cooley Wilson is not only one of my favorite authors she's one of my favorite people. As a fan of both the Rev Series (#teamAsher) and The Royal Protector Series (#teamTristan and Zander!) I've been waiting with bated breath for Gages story. You think you know him but you really don't, so here it is and as usual it doesn't disappoint. Without giving away spoilers Randi has a way of glimpsing you Gage's past, present and future while adding additional plot twists that mesh seamlessly to her two previously written series. However I will say I'm stating to turn Team Callan, he truly is inappropriate and hilariously funny!
Gage's story took me on such an emotional roller coaster. I love Nassa's fierce spirit and her determination. As always love the humor when the St. Michael 's Clan is around. I felt like I was going through the pain that Gage and Nassa went through. Letting go of guilt and letting love back into your life can be extremely hard but it goes to show that with patience and understanding it can happen. So glad that they didn't give up and finally got there happily ever after Dark Paradise.
I wanted to like this story. I love the characters. Loved the previous stories. Sadly, it just fell flat for me. It did not flow, and at times didn’t even make sense. There were abrupt ends and starts as if pieces were either thrown in last minute or missing. The story needed an ending, but it just kept going and going, as if at the last minute the author got too hung up on story ideas and just tossed them in this for good measure. Some focused editing might have helped this mess. A disappointment.
Oh my word !!#TeamGage. This book was all about Gage, his tragic past and his constant struggles. And how a strong adamant sorceress keeps fighting for him. I love the message this story gives for everyone out there who might have scars. They don’t define us. But they reminds us of what we been trough. What we lost... Possibly what we gain ...And sometimes how we can even be reborn. ALL THE FEELS❤️
This is a continuation to the Revelations series, can be read as a standalone. So worth it.
wow.. RCW has done it AGAIN!!!!! This book had me in tears, had me laughing out loud and had me jumping for joy!!! Nassa is so strong in this book when she needs to be, I loved her character and lets not forget about the London clan.. OMG their banner is sooo freaking hilarious !!!! I already read The Royal Protector Academy, but I will be re reading it again because this book happen right before.... great job RCW
I feel as if I’ve waited for Gage’s story for so long. From the first time we met him in Asher and Eve’s story I needed it. And it was more than worth the wait! Gage’s dark and painful existence made the grounds for a beautiful story of redemption. One that can only happen with the strength and fierceness that Nassa has. This was all things gargoyle...broody, badass, snarky, dark and intensely sexy!
Gage Gallagher is one frustrating gargoyle, brooding and all. Nassa is one bad ass woman who doesn't take crap off of anybody. Together, they make a sexy situation. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. Randi Cooley Wilson, once again, brought me to tears and gave me goosebumps. I was crying one minute, was frustrated another and even chuckled a few times, thanks to the other gargoyle brothers. Dark Paradise was very much worth the wait and I can't wait for what comes next.
Gage Gallagher. Oh! My! Gargoyle! My heart will only belong to one gargoyle from now on. Sorry, Callan. The first time I met Gage in the Revelation series I loved him. Reading his story, I love him even more. There is so much under the surface of Gage's demeanor, his swagger, his heart, it makes him hauntingly beautiful. Nassa is my favorite female character now. She is badass sorceress with a huge heart. She is perfect for Gage. He needs a woman that will go toe to toe with him. Nassa is just the woman to do it. I knew Dark Paradise would probably rip my heart out. It did. In the best possible way. This is a beautifully, heart breaking, make me feel all the feels story. I definitely recommend adding this book to your collection.
What can I saw, if you loved Gage and Nessa in The Rev Series than you are in for a treat. While I loved both of them together from the start we get to enjoy everything that they have to offer in this addition. I laughed I cry (balled might be the right word) and everyone in between. Thank you Randi for another epic tale xxxx
Holy hotness gargoyle! I've been waiting for Gage's story for a long time, and let me tell you it was so worth the wait. The raw emotion, Randi portrays in this book is nothing less of incredible. Nassa and Gage are my new favorite addiction from beginning to end. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. READ THIS BOOK!! #alwaysteamgage
XXX! Adult content, reader discretion advised. Nassa is a strong intelligent and independent sorceress. Until she met Gage Gallagher. He his broken and tends to break things. Is Nassa strong enough to be the epoxy to hold Gallagher together? They will go to hell and back to find out.
What a raw and beautiful book that completes the revelation series. Gage and nassa are just beautiful and I loved the emotional growth that they make in discovering what they are to each other. Reading this book, made me want to go back and do a big reread. I loved this and absolutely devoured it! Hot scenes and lots of emotions, even a little adventure in there too. Perfect ending for gage!
I loved Gage & Nassa's story especially tying Gage's story together from the beginning to the end in the revelation series. It tied it perfectly together! There love story is deep and powerful!
What do you get when you cross a broken gargoyle and a badass sorcerer? One hot book! This give such an incredible glimpse into Gage and how he heals from the loss of his first love. #teamgage
This book was SO GOOD. I’ve always loved Gage and finally hearing his story was amazing. This book is filled with so much emotion, it’s insane. I just can’t put into words how good this book was. Thank you for telling his story!
Gage, swoon. He is a man that went through so much, continues to deal with so much and still stands. You get a peak of his darkness and you hurt for Gage. I cant tell you how much I loved this book! I love that we got a bunch of St. Michael's clan in this too!
I love Gage and Nassa. She is powerful and confident, able to love him even though a part of him will always love Camilla. Great to have snippets of the London Clan too.. Callan is as funny as ever. Definitely recommend.
I love that we finally got more of Nassa and Gage’s relationship. It feels just as beautiful and complex as Asher and Eve’s if not more so. However, I wish there was a warning that you will be left on a cliffhanger, and you need to read the following series to find out what happens.
