I much preferred this volume to the last! I’m so pleased that I wasn’t abit on edge worrying that there would be a graphic SA scene this time! I’m glad there hasn’t been otherwise it might have impacted my enjoyment of the series overall and I most probably wouldn’t have continued with it.

Anzai is learning to control his devil/vampire side, to control his bloodthirsty nature. This is a positive thing because it means his relationship with Tsukasa can continue to develop.

Devil’s Line really does remind of Chainsaw Man with the devil hunting, just revolves more around a budding relationship and is less trippy.
It’s still packed with gory moments and action packed scenes though, I have a feeling this series will take a darker, horror-based turn with more sinister devils for the hunters to fight.

Decided not to continue on with this series - as I heard from people it doesn’t really get much better or end well ! 😅 ah well lol taking my review rating down from a 4 to a 3 after much deliberation aswell !

After a lot of hesitation, Anzai finally made the move!

We also got to know more about the terrorist group. Plus, a new group is introduced to the scene. I'm really curious how this pans out.

Well that all happened. 👀
This volume was crazy, yet also adorable.
Anzai’s protectiveness with Tsukasa could defrost even the most frozen of hearts. I love them so much. 🥰

A lot happens in this volume. Without spoiling it (since all these things are in the blurb), Tsukasa and Anzai's relationship moves forward after she's been taken hostage by Zero Seven, the lady sniper. We see a more human side of the Zeroes (well some of them) and the more calloused side of them as well. Their reach is bigger than any of them know and the police are infiltrated.

There also is an old doctor who's tried to help Anzai and Hans in the past, who is trying to help them still, though Hans is much better at controlling his devil. There are some funny moments with the doc and we learn Hans is on the run from ONLO, a group that deals with (and perhaps experiments on) devils.

There is a bombshell at the end. I'm looking forward to the next volume. The art still isn't my favorite but it fits this story which is maturing nicely.

Another great volume for this series! I’m so happy that Anzai and Tsukasa finally were able to communicate their thoughts and motivations with each other. SO GOOD! I’m am very thankful for the short story with all the “terrorists” at the end. I’ve finally got their code names, real names and faces all connected! 😅 My interests are very piqued like what’s his name on page 201. I’m curious to see how this gets played out!

I read this for the Manga Freak-a-thon ‘22!!

The art isn't the prettiest in this but it fits the gritty vampire story which has a really intricate plot so far.

I had a hard time keeping track of all the characters in this volume. It continues to be fast paced but not overwhelming and very interesting. I like Lee from a I want to know more. And I felt really empathetic towards the female sniper. They took advantage of her horrific childhood. I’m glad she has the computer guy.

Another nice installment, and more progress on the main relationship in the series. There's a lot of new things being dropped in. It's almost too much. A lot of new characters that I wish had been set up earlier in the story.

A seguir leyendo.

Devils' Line, Vol. 4 takes the emotional and political tension to new heights, and I am absolutely hooked. The stakes feel so much bigger now, with the anti-devil discrimination getting even more dangerous and the conspiracy surrounding vampires deepening. There’s a real sense of urgency in this volume, and every scene feels important, whether it’s a quiet emotional moment or a brutal action sequence.

Anzai’s internal battle with his instincts is getting more intense, and Tsukasa continues to be the emotional heart of the story. Their relationship is developing in such a realistic and heart-wrenching way, and I love how their struggles feel so personal yet so deeply connected to the bigger conflict. The artwork is stunning as always, with raw, expressive emotions that hit hard. If you’re already invested in this series, Vol. 4 absolutely delivers. Five stars—this story is only getting better and I can’t wait for what’s next!
