“Brainwashing” is a concept that titillates and mystifies—it implies an intense kind of control over another person and surrender of will. Within the context of erotic hypnosis, it might be considered a sort of holy grail to some, but what does it mean to achieve this in an ethical, effective, and mutually enjoyable way? In “The Brainwashing Book,” we’ll explore a model that teaches and takes advantage of well-researched psychological principles and intermediate-to-advanced hypnosis skills in order to pursue this fun, hot form of play—and find how it can improve your trancing as a whole. sleepingirl is a queer writer, presenter, and podcaster with a decade of real-life erotic hypnosis experience on both sides of the “pocket watch.” She has a lifelong passion for the cerebral and intimate and has taught at kink events across the United States. I like so many others have been waiting for his book to fill a spot on our shelves for years and now it's finally here. This book is a landmark work in the field, written using the author's own experiences as a subject and it stands equally (or perhaps even a little higher) than Mind Play as a pillar in this passionate and powerful niche. 10/10.
Not as much about hypnosis as I thought it would be. While it certainly does cover a lot of hypno topics, much of it was really more about creating D/s or power exchange relationships. An interesting read if you want to learn more about some of the psychology behind hypno or frameworks for structuring long term behavior changes.
An excellent overview of the subject with lots of information. I did feel it could have used more detail on how to integrate the practice with hypnosis though.
This is a great introduction to erotic brainwashing and hypnosis for beginners, with an overview of different methods that you can use to shape and alter someone (consensually). This beaks shows the reality of brainwashing - that it's not magic, and it doesn't have to involve torture, but it is really about creating new habits and influencing someone to behave and think differently, until the changes stick and become permanent.
If you are already advanced at brainwashing and hypnosis techniques, you will be familiar with most of these methods, but it is interesting nonetheless. The author shows how to do it in a positive way, and how to incorporate it well into a romantic relationship or D/s dynamic with a partner.
Not a beginner book around hypnosis, but very good if you want to get a hang of brainwashing with hypnosis/NLP stuff for consensual kink experiences. Highly recommend the author
