Troy left his den in Alaska when his Alpha wouldn’t accept same-sex matings, even if they were fated. Tired of being alone, and knowing his mate wasn’t going to be a woman, he set out in search of not only his fated mate, but also a den and Alpha that were accepting of not only him and his bear, but also male-paired fated mates.
Elliot grew up in the coven his Papa was master of. Two of his brothers have found their One, and one a mate the fates destined for them. After a year of being drawn to Alaska, hoping to find his One, he’s called back to Amherst and then Honey Creek where his youngest brother has mated with the Den’s Alpha.
The last thing Troy ever expects is to scent his mate at a den celebration. When he realizes it’s the Alpha Mate’s older brother, will his Alpha accept him as a member of the family? Will the young warlock’s centuries-old terrifying parents be welcoming? Even polar bears know not to piss them off.
Witch problems are escalating; old hook-ups are showing up; babies are starting to crawl; more babies are on the way; mates are cranky; and warlocks are still “poofing” in and out at odd times. Will Troy and Elliot ever sleep again?
Troy’s Warlock is book two in the Honey Creek Den Series. Each book contains a fated mate pair, Mpreg, lots and lots of knotting during growly sexy times and babies, lots of babies. These bears will do anything their mates ask, just read and see. The Honey Creek Den Series is meant to be read in order even though each book focuses on a different couple. This book is intended for adults only as these shifters tend to get growly and don’t watch their language.
Honey Creek Den Book 2 was just an extension from book 1. The character building was great but more story was needed for me. Less character togetherness. More conflict!!
I rate this book a 3.5 stars but will round up to 4. I started this book not long after I finished the first one. I did like it better. There were still a few times when things were repeated too many times but it wasn't as bad as it was in the first one. I also thought our warlock used his magic for too many things. It was to the point I would roll my eyes when he used magic for something as simple as drying off out of the shower or cooking dinner. But, it didn't aggravate me enough to not finish the book. I'm very excited for the next one. Can't wait to jump in here in a few.
Consistent with the first book. On to book three! Side note: not only should this series be read in order, but you should also read the series sets in order as well. KU is your friend <3
This is book two in the Honey Creek Den Series. We get to visit more with the characters from the first book. When Elliot comes to visit his little brother he never thought he would find his One. You will see that Troy and Elliot have some things to sort through. Of course, the dads will be there to help in a pinch even with everyone scared of them. This is a must-read book and series. You will fall in love with the characters and dynamics.
Never read warlock stories so really loved the dynamics. Taylor does brings different concept of lifespan in the shifter's life.
The storyline of Honey creek den awesome. I love the sweet moments in both the books but the story moves bit slow without any substance (anything new happening). Will I continue to read the rest of the books in the series? Absolutely !! :)
What Can Happen if Your Mate is a Polar Bear shifter?
If you are a Mpreg romance fan you will love this book. It goes through an entire pregnancy and birth from conception to exhausted fathers taking care of their little bundle(s) of "joy". This second book in the Honey Creek Den features the Den Alpha's 2nd in Command who's a Polar Bear and his mate a Warlock, who is one of the older brothers of the Alpha's mate. Family is an important component of this book.
Family is expressed in so many ways. A mated pair having babies. A coven of Warlocks lead by a mated pair (Bengal Tiger & powerful Warlock) and living with them were three adult sons. A Den of mostly Bears, but as did with the other types of family, the Den grows with the acceptance of new members - bringing new potential mates and the possibility of fated mates and more babies. Displaced Alaskans searching for sanctuary, find so much more.
What happens when a past lover who broke your heart returns? Should their partners be worried? How do you deal with someone who pursued you - until suddenly your mate literally appears? Especially when he's your Den Alpha's younger brother. Did you just put your position in the Den in trouble? How the lovers and their kin/Den deal with their challenges is overshadowed by a mpregnancy that lasts almost the entire book...so a great bit of detail about the pregnancy is discussed and the people effected. As well as the care of other Den babies.
Parts of this book were so sweet & thoughtful and other parts are erotically charged. Despite being surrounded by family there are still dangers lurking that must be dealt with. New shifters arrive unannounced on Honey Creek's Bear territory. Do they mean harm? Are their back stories true?
The two main characters are more mature than those in the first book. It made a difference in how the author approached writing the story. I see this series getting better with each book. I've already begun Book 3 which I received as a paperback gift from the author. I can say with certainty that these books are not stand-alones. They need to be read in chronological order. Each book builds on the precious ones. Enjoy!
I am telling you - fall in love with the characters and enjoy the tales told. Grab the series!
This series Honey Creek Den Series - A Paranormal Shifter Series
Several couple find their mate but unexpected means but "perfect timing", even if they disagree.
Book 1 Arik is a tiger shifter and his twin is a warlock. War the den Alpha the day he needs miracles he gets a gift. This book hit home when you think you have had a bad day - was it life or death? Then a reminder it could be worse. Keep your cup grateful you have ONE to fill up (not half full or half empty but a place to start).
Book 2 Troy shifter and Dens second in command and Elliot a warlock Rain & Erik brother. This is a great book to honor and be true to yourself is the best gift. To learn your lessons from past mistakes and to not repeat them.
Book 3 Ryker is a park ranger and a shifter & meets warlock and Arik's twin. The worry is Rain disappears upon meeting. This is the best reminder not to " assume" but to communicate to protect the heart & head from spinning.
Book 4 Grayson and Hai both shifters and both working as rangers. This story is standing up for your beliefs or see out dated and hateful beliefs threaten a future. Self confidence is something most have to work to accomplish.
Book 5 Deputy Gage shifter and Linus a young shifter that lost his entire family and has an injuries mate trying to give space. This is a great book for knowing family may be 1 or more but living and planning future is important but living in moment helps to heal the heart!
Book 6 Jules shifter+ and Orin shifter and War the Alpha brother. Orin didn't want to wait for a fated mate but had unrequited love. A year returns to pack and a lost pack seeking sanctuary brings a treasure. This is the best story for perseverance and never to give up.
Would have like a story for Brice shifter and Attic us a human - can't wait til their story?
MM romance with shifter with some variety I liked.
This is turning out to be a great series! The continuous storyline makes this world come alive. Old friends are back, interwoven with new ones. You will become invested in their lives. Fated mates/ Ones, an old enemy destroyed, babies, and lots of poofing. I love this book! Troy wants to find his mate. Moving to Honey Creek from Alaska & becoming the Den's second is fulfilling, but something is missing...a Mate. When the fates give him a warlock his bear goes crazy. Elliot just came to visit his brother. Finding his One is an unexpected bonus. He poofs them to a cabin in Alaska to complete their claiming. Troy and Elliot will steal your heart. Come with them on their journey to HEA. You will love this book! I recommend reading the first book in this series. You will be glad you did. The story continues in book 3. I can't wait to read it This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
I won't go over the blurb as you can read in the description. 🧐🤔 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝘿𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 1. Wars Mate - War & Arik 2. Troys Warlock - Troy & Elliot 3. Rykers Enchantment 4. Graysons Enlightenment 5. Gages Serenity 6. Jules Sanctuary
Where to begin, I love the paranormal genre 👻, Second book in this series was awesome the way Elliot connected to Troy & the patience he had was swoon 😍, the witch well, it was quick & I can't wait to get to know Ryker! 📚 Thank you, Taylor Rylan💐 Narrator Kenneth Obi, Thank you🎧 Story 📚📚📚 Characters ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice 🌶🌶🌶🌶 Narration 👄 👄 👄 #TroysWarlock #HoneyCreekDenSeries #TaylorRylan #Narrator #Kenneth Obi #TroyAndElliot #PNR #MM #MPREG #PolarBear #Warlock #Adult #GreatStart #Audiobooks
. . . Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟 Hot: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 É uma leitura F(. . .), desculpe pela palavra, eu amei 🖤. . . Amei! . . Boa Leitura 😘
This is a paranormal queer romance with mpreg, the second book in “Honey Creek Den” which is the first series of an interconnected bunch of series’s by the same author. This book picks up with the celebration where Elliot poofs in to meet his ONE (a warlock’s fated mate). Troy moved there from Alaska in the hopes of finding his mate. There’s bunches of babies, old enemies to fight; it was such an excellent read!
This was actually a reread and it made me smile to be back here again! There’s great world building that will span six series; this was an excellent series that started it all!
So this second book was good although it could have been better if it was not filled with so much syrupy sweetness. I mean it was a little too much gooey stuff for me. I liked that all the characters from the first book were present, intimate moments were fine. The one other thing that was a little irritating was how Elliot kept talking about his Papa and how he was going to fix it all. Everywhere there was a little bit of an issue - "Oh, Papa will fix it" routine was on. Otherwise a very sweet read.
I listened to the audio and the narrator hit the voices perfectly. I have to give him 4.8 out of 5
Overall story 3.4stars the overall story was there and I did enjoy it but I felt like there could have been more. I loved Troy of course and the fact that he and his mate had triplets talk about a handful. It felt as if the book was building up to something only to stay still. Once I understood nothing was going to happen I simply fell in love with the story of how these two men had children together.
I did like the characters mostly. The book wasn't really long but it seemed to take forever because nothing happened. I don't have an issue with fluff but I like to know what I'm getting into. What I was thinking was going to be a story arch throughout the whole series was resolved off page in this book. This makes the third book by this author that I have read and I'm not sure how much I want to read more. I am interested in Arin's story but if I do read it, it will be the last book of this series that I read.
Well, as in the first book the romance was sweet... But I think that the issue with the witch was unnecessary, nothing was shown and our main leads did nothing to contribute nor had any knowledge of what was happening, it all happened with someone else on the know so we were only told after the fact, it was quite disappointing and it didn't add anything of interest to the overall story so I still don't know why it was there... I think these books would be better if they just focused on the love stories and families dynamics. They're cute short stories to enjoy once in a while.
Elliot and Troy's story is just as entertaining as the first book in this series. Elliot is a warlock and the Alpha Mate's brother. Troy is a polar bear and the Alpha's second in command. They meet at the celebration for the birth of the Alpha's twins and instantly recognize they are The One- each other's fated mated. The story is filled with fun times and sexy times for the characters that keep the reader's interest. Love the story, the characters and the series! Definitely a recommended book
So the second book is just as good as the first. Elliot is a warlock and Troy is a polar bear and what do you get when you put these two together triple the fun 😉😉😉, instant trip to Alaska, already run bath water, clothes that just disappear and silk scarves that appear. Can't wait for third book to come out.
I am really enjoying this series, and Troy and Elliot were so great together. I loved how sweet Elliot was taking Troy to where he could enjoy his polar bear side. They so enjoyed the same things. I loved the intro of new characters even knowing some of them were a bit difficult for Elliot at first. Bring on Ryker's story.
I honestly didn't like this book as well as I did the first. I thought that Elliott and Troy's declarations of love felt too precipitous and lacking in a solid foundation.
I also found it odd that with all of the conflict of the last book, there really want any in this one.
I absolutely love Taylor Rylan, I read this book a while ago and decided to do a re read of the series and didn’t realise my last review hadn’t gone on :( I love Elliot and Troy, even when Elliot is a little grumpy. I enjoyed the plot and love how well written the book is. I love the whole series and would tell anybody to give it a try x
Another great story with loving characters, and even more cubs. Troy and Elliott are a dynamic couple. Between their love and respect for each other they overcome the obstacles that are put in there way.
There is still that high energy while giving us more details about the shifters and padlocks that are making Honey Creek home. With more shifter types having joined the den. I am loving this. I can't wait to see what comes next.
I enjoyed Troy and Elliott's story. The only disappointment was the rather anticlimactic end of Adrianna. I'd like to had read about that fight. On to the next in the series
Absolutely wonderful, absolutely amazing! Definitely a must read, so much excitement, terrified moments, worried mates, fathers and family and most of all a beautiful love story! So many thanks, Honey Bee 🐝📚💙🎶
I loved Elliot's and Troy's story. Troy was the ultimate loving mate. The author did a superb job of making sure that this book flowed seamlessly in line with the ending of book 1. I can't wait to read book 3.
