Perfect Pairs #2

Stalking Their Mate

Rate this book
A BBW Fated Mates Paranormal Romance

They’ve survived broken marriages and battered hearts…
…but can these fated mates trust each other enough to find true love?

When I escaped my abusive marriage, I was a broken shell of a woman.
I was never smart enough, pretty enough, thin enough.
Now I’m finally free and happy and stronger than ever.
There’s still a hole in my heart where a loving husband and children should be,
but it’s a small price to pay for my freedom.
A trip to the Rocky Mountains for my cousin’s wedding is exactly what I need.
I’m shaking my ass on the dance floor, when my skin prickles under the heat of a man’s gaze.
This man may be hot enough to melt my plus-size panties, but no way is he getting into them. Ever.
Except he does.
Silver-tongued Jack wins me over with his sexy smile and captivating charisma.
Then worships me from head to toe until the wall around my heart cracks.
I didn’t want a man. Let alone two!
But his twin brother intrigues me.
Scott’s damaged soul calls out to mine no matter how desperately he tries to push me away.
The baggage we all carry from our past relationships could sink the Titanic, but fate has its own plans.
Because these mountain-lion shifters form a perfect pair. And they’re destined to share a fated mate. Me.

I may be their perfect match, but how can I convince Scott there’s enough love left in this world for the three of us? And will he ever trust me to protect his fragile heart?

*** BBW MFM Shifter romance.

Author note: This is a re-release of the story 'Stalking the Pharmacist' - and it has been thoroughly edited and re-worked.

1🌟:Hate IT! Didn't finish; usually only given if/when some contents truly objectionable (i.e. main characters does something awful & gets away w/it!)
2🌟:Don't like IT! Rating means I felt the writing was poor, editing was bad, I don't care for characters, or book had some major flaw.
3🌟: I like IT, BUT! There are minor issues... Rating means there's editing issues, needs character development, is too unrealistic, or has issues– I do not consider it an overall bad rating.
4🌟:I like IT a lot. Great, Solid Story w/ few if any inconsistencies or errors. This is a HIGH Rating, & I rarely give OUT a Higher Rating.

Wow, I’m at a lost for words. Jack, Ashleigh and Scott’s story is very touching and it takes you on and emotional journey. I love that Jack and Ashleigh team up to help Scott. I also, finds it amazing the way Ashleigh is with Jack and Scott it’s like they were all made for each other once the pain and trauma has been released. Above all I love Jack for taking the first step in the direction of everlasting love and for taking his twin along with him.

Like a phoenix, you can be reborn and rise again. Ashleigh was attending her cousin, Laura's bonding to Brandon & Tyler. She was approached by Jack and Scott from whom, she felt a physical electrical shock, when they touched. She didn't understand, but they recognized her as their mate, finally! They didn't believe in the perfect pairs, non identical twins, exact opposites who compliment each other and would share a mate. So, they married other women and had families. Jack's ex married him for the status as a NFL, wife. Scott's ex, Kerry is toxic! She is abusive and generally intolerable. Both men are damaged, but Scott is devestated. Ash's ex was abusive, demeaning and cruel. Ash is not looking for a relationship. She has friends a business and is happy in her life in Canada. These men are also, lion shifters. How do they explain shared mates and shifting to Ash? Will she accept a relationship wiht Scott and Jack? Did she notice the details Laura's bonding ceremony? Can any one or all overcome the complexity of their past relationships? Nice story. I enjoyed reading about the difficulty in working through personal baggage. I found the process was slightly below expectations and follow through. The author did not explore the characters considering the depth of damage. 3.5 stars

Ashleigh (Ash) has recently been through a divorce from a man that was emotionally demeaning. Her self-confidence is still suffering from the way he treated her. Jack and Scott are a Perfect Pair, twins that are meant to share one woman. They didn't believe the legends and instead had separate marriages that failed spectacularly. Although Jack does have some issues from his marriage, it's clear that Scott is the more emotionally damaged of the pair. The more that we learn about Scott's ex-wife, the more I really had to wonder at how he left the kids with her. She is a horrible woman that uses emotional manipulation to get her way, and though I suppose she might be a decent mother if this is the behavior she models for the kids then there are going to be issues. In both cases, Jack and Scott, it seems like the wives got the kids, and given that the kids are shifters and their mothers are human it felt a bit off that they weren't spending more time with the dads (or at least their family). I do like that Ash didn't just brush aside the issue of dealing with a blended family, among other issues that this relationship comes with. I did like them ultimately, but I wish there had been a bit more depth, the whole relationship seemed to move a bit too fast.

I had an ARC edition, so my rating/review is based only on the story and not any grammar/spelling issues.

Ashleigh (“Ash”) has recently suffered through a difficult divorce from a cruel, abusive man who put her down and stomped on her self-esteem. She attends the wedding of her cousin Laura to Brandon and Tyler, mountain lion shifters considered a Perfect Pair, twins who are fated to share one woman. In their younger years, they had ignored the Perfect Pair legend and each married their own female. Neither of the marriages lasted, and painful emotional damage was the result. Now the men are 50 and Scott feels it’s too late for them to find anyone else.

When Scott and Jack met Ash at the wedding, they actually felt a bond – this time, they had met their true mate. Jack was ready to accept what was happening, but Scott was still holding back, not sure he could accept this. And Ash has her own bad experience to warn her not to rush into things. Can the three of them put their painful experiences aside and see where their fated future will take them? Can they allow the healing each of them can provide the others to restore their trust and confidence in how good it can be?

I enjoyed this second book in the Perfect Pairs series. The story line continues to be good and well-paced. The characters are likable and worthy of finding true love that will value them. Grab your copy and enjoy Ash, Jack, and Scott’s story.

It is great to read a shifter story about two men who are almost 50 and their mate who is 35. Both men, who did not fully believe in the fated mate story, had previously married and their marriages ended in disaster especially Scott’s. Jack and Scott spot their mate at a family wedding and move in to prove to her that she is theirs. Ash’s marriage ended badly with an ex-husband who berated her because of her voluminous curves causing her to believe no man would be interested in her, let alone two brothers. The story is well written, entertaining, sometimes heart breaking but there is a HEA. I would highly recommend it as a great read. This book leads into the next book in this series with another set of twins finding their mate.

I was so happy to receive this ARC to review. I enjoyed the first book in the Fated Mates and looked forward to the second. Let me tell you, after reading Stalking Their Mate, I'm now hooked on these characters and community! I liked that you have older men and a woman in her thirties. They all have faced regret and heartache in their previous marriages, never expecting anything better in their lives. The men have always disbelieved the fated mates legend so are knocked totally off kilter when the come across her at a relative's wedding. Each of them feels the bond between them but must decide if they can personally overcome their scars. This story hits all the marks for me. Tasmin brings a great plot, shifters, unique situations, steamy sex and best of all a menage. I hope that she makes this series into several books. You will not regret picking up this book.

This is a well-written twins fated mates story that is different in story-line than the first. I enjoyed the first book in the Fated Mates and looked forward to the this one. I love these well-developed characters and community. I liked that you have older men and a woman in her thirties that have faced heartache and trouble in their previous marriages, but find true love with each other. The men have always disbelieved the fated mates legend so are knocked totally off their butts when the come across her at a wedding. Each of them feels the bond, but can they personally overcome their scars from their previous non-mate marriages. This story is emotionally gripping and the Author brings a great story-line, shifters, unique situations, steamy sex and best of all a menage. I hope that she makes this series into several books. A Must READ

This is the second book in this series and we met Ashleigh in the epilogue of the first book.

This is the story of her and her relationship with Scott and Jack to non identical twins They are both were panthers and they decided that they where never going to have a mate to share like most twins do so they each married individually to women that weren't their fated mates each marriage ended in divorce and now they are single again Jack first saw Ashleigh on the dance floor at her best friends wedding and he is instantly attracted but she has escaped one abusive marriage and swears she will never marry again but Jack calls to her and she cannot resist at the same time she is called to Scott's damaged soul Can they form a family together and will these two older panthers finally find their mate and realise that is what they have always been looking for.

Second book in the series and another perfect pair finds their mate...but will they be able to catch her and keep her? The male lead characters in this story, Jack and Scott, are older having disbelieved the myth of the perfect pair mate and went out on their own and found wives and had kids. But both of their marriages made them miserable and unhappy. Ash is older too, and fresh out of a marriage where her husband verbally abused her and put her down and isn't looking for love again. When all of them attend a family wedding, their connection is instant and despite their reservations, the attraction can't be denied. But with all of their combined baggage, the journey to HEA isn't going to be an easy one. This story is fast-paced and full of emotion as all three main characters learn to let go of the past and accept love and happiness in their lives again.

Finally finding their perfect path
These three all have had bad experiences when it comes to spouses and love. The author really did a fantastic job of writing about this sensitive subject, even to the point that it is still affecting them now that they are all free from their abusers. But are they really free if they are afraid to bond with their fated mates? The author took us on a fast-paced journey full of the emotional and physical struggle to overcome the past and the intensity of their instant connection. I enjoyed this book from the first page to the last and I can’t wait to see if any of the cousins find their fated pairs next.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Stalking Their Mate by Tamsin Baker is the second book in her BBW Fated Mates Paranormal Romance series. I read this as a drop-in, I did not read the first book. Although there were some references to the first book, I did not feel lost. I found this story to be sweet and touching with a mad dash of sexy spice. (Mature Readers Only Please) Tamsin Baker gifts a perfect pair of shifters their fated mate. I thought that this story was so well written and the characters were amazingly developed and intricate. This telling of second time around romance and overcoming personal damage was definitely emotionally steeped and yet there was that touch of humor that helped smooth the scorch. I enjoyed this read so much, I went back and read the first book!

Firstly, I'm not sure that "Stalking" is a good title but the tale is a good one nonetheless. This is all about each if the trio healing each other while finding love and happiness and redemption!
A really good follow up to Laura's tale, Ashleigh meets Scott and Jack at the wedding and it all continues from there! Each ahve had traumatic pasts, Scott and Ash moreso than Jack but all need to heal and learn to trust and love again!
What I loved, is that all 3 are older and more mature in life but still have their insecurities! This is a well told tale with intersting characters!

I look forward to more in the series!

Book 2 in series

The first book, Prowling Their Mate was such a cute story, I went and purchased the second one. Thinking this aught to be good just from Ashleigh's behavior alone from the first book's epilogue, I was entertained when I did read this story. It briefly does touch on emotional and physical spousal abuse which is sensitive and deep however the main plot keeps the story flow focused. There are some proofreading errors that did not fully deter from the main point but did cause me to pause in confusion. Other than those issues, this sequel was okay. I thought some parts could have been embellished better. I believe Ashleigh's attitude is what sold me the most, but she seemed more empathetic than I originally planned.

Ash went to her cousins wedding. Her cousin was marrying not one but two good looking perfect men that were twins. Now Ash, BBW, broken from her previous relationship Ash was being stalked by two fine looking twins. They had both come from bad marriages too. They also had a secret, they were mountain lion shifters and Ash was their perfect mate. Could they convince her she was theirs? Could they also get on the same page and get over their pasts? Fun read

Ashleigh is attending Laura's wedding to a perfect pair of shifters. She has been broken by her ex husband, and when Jack and Scott make it clear that they are attracted to her, she doesnt believe them.
Both of the men have been hurt before too, and it takes some work before Scott will accept that they are in fact fated mates.
I found this story entertaining - when Scott's teenage daughter finds out that her father is attracted to another woman other than her mother, she nearly ruins everything with her tantrum. Loved the twists, and how the three of them had to work things out to see if they are going to be able to succeed.

It was beautiful and meaningful. Three broken people, with past, inside scars and insecurities. Add into mix there is two guys for one woman and that those two men are actually a mountain lion shifters. We heading for a little disaster and lots of stress and shock. Happily Ash is intelligent, caring and understanding. I loved this story. But what disturbed me the way it was written. Constant jumping between first person view and third person view, often even in one sentence. Sometimes I needed to re-read the sentence to understand that is still about the same person and not about another in the same room. Complicated but I still enjoyed the book.

Can they get past their painful pasts????

A good story of three broken people realising there is more to perfect pairs and true mates than what they have learnt before. At Lauren’s wedding Ash meets two guys who are interested in her, Jack and Scott. As Jack starts to pursuer her Scott is t interested because of what his ex put him through. They try to work through their hurts and feelings. When she sees them shift for the first time, is it over before it’s even started??? Will Scott be open to another relation or will his ex always control his future actions???? Great read and characters and would love to read about the next pairs and Sam.

This story is a bit more intense than the first book, showing the damage that emotional abuse can have on a gal, but the twins are her fated mates and they have baggage of their own to bring to the table. Stalking Their Mate was totally engaging with twists and sizzling chemistry. There's a lot of emotions, as well, and it sure grabs at the heart. With good flow and interesting characters, this story has it all.

I love ménage romances and mixed in with shifters and it’s a perfect recipe. It took Ash some time to come to terms with having mates and shifters. All three of them had their fair share of heartbreak and their own demons but glad they were able to work it out. Talk about a tortured hero! The only thing that would have made the story and flow better was the editing. There are different points of view in each chapter but even though it seemed the story should have been first person, it kept switching from first-person to third-person in the same sentence. It was very confusing and was hard to focus on the actual story.

The know that she is their true mate will others try to end this triad before is starts? Great story and very intense and hot chemistry. I liked it.

I really liked the story line in the book. I liked how all the characters had past pains that needed healing, but they were able to reach help the others out. I really enjoyed that the story was told from all three points of view for the main characters. It sets up nicely for the next book in the series in the epilogue, and it will definitely be on my to read list.

A really enjoyable, shifter romance with a well-paced, somewhat emotional plot. The characters are well-developed complex individuals who have realistic emotional flaws but they do realize that together they can heal each other.
It is about: a feisty intelligent human female (Ashleigh) is finally free from a abusive ex & goes to a cousins ménage wedding (Laura) & comes into contact with two men (Scott & Jack) with some regretful memories.
There is: lion shifters, humans, intrigue, some suspense, drama, secrets, mild deceit, adventure, action, strange attraction, complications, determination, jealousy, honesty, insecurities, misunderstandings, indecisions, confrontation, family issues, shock, advice, verbal conflict, compromises, declarations, steamy scenes, contentment & a satisfying conclusion.
