I Belonged to You, is a touching story written by Zhang Jiajia, a renown writer among various avenues of Chinese social media. Her most famous publication, a series of Bedtime Stories went viral throughout the internet, reporting more than 1,500,000 hits within the first few days of being posted. After receiving more than 400 million reviews on-line, interest aroused film producers to offer large sums of money to purchase the royalties for Zhang's bedtime stories. Popularity stems from the reader's ability to visualize themselves within her adventures. Those who have read Zhang's Bedtime Stories grasp the raw honesty that quickly draws the reader into the storyline. Every page is like a friend narrating their events of the day late into the night, sharing their experiences with all its ups and downs. The emotion conveyed in each chapter varies....some are warm, some are bright, some are lonely, some are crazy, some are calm while some are plain silly. When you are sleepless, when you need comfort, when you are waiting for the subway, when you have nothing to do after waking up, or when you feel sleepy after a meal, you will always find one of Zhang JiaJia's story that will warm your heart and affirm you are not alone.

I give the novel “Passing Through Your World” written by Zhang Jiajia five stars. I agree with the author’s opinion about love, loss, and human connection by telling several emotional love stories.
For example, when the narrator recalls his life after an emotional struggle, he said, "One day, we will reach the shore and the sun will shine." (Zhang 75). This sentence expresses the theme very well, because it shows that even if you experience difficulties, there is still hope. It can also be seen that the protagonist's inner conflict. On the one hand, he struggles in pain, and on the other hand, he wants to continue to move forward, accept the loss but look forward to a better future.
Additionally, at a critical turning point, when he realized that some relationships were irreparable, he said, "Some people disappear forever once they miss them." (Zhang 189). This sentence directly shows his main conflict, which is about loss and regret. He began to understand that some things could not be returned, which also made him emotionally conflicted, and he could only accept the reality slowly.
Later, the narrator also has obvious growth. At first, he was confused and lost. As he said, "We all stumbled as time went by." ( Zhang 112). This shows that he is still experiencing various challenges in life and slowly learning how to face everything.
Furthermore, he became more mature and stronger. He said, "One day, you will smile when you talk about things that have hurt you." (Zhang 235). This shows his change, he began to accept the pain of the past and learned to let go and move forward slowly.
Finally, the image of the whole book is also very impressive. When he described emotions and memories, he said, "Everyone has a city in their heart, where no one can live." (Zhang 287). The metaphor is used here. "City" represents the inner memory, while "impossible people" refers to people who can't be together, which makes the whole picture very emotional and poetic.
In conclusion, this book made me realize that even painful experiences can help people grow and become stronger with an important lesson about love and letting go.
