Tom and Sir Francis Bacon and his fellow students are asked to look into a dead man in a house that is being watched over by the person requesting they look into it. The dead man is only wearing a shirt with some excellent needlework. So begins a search for the murderer. The Shirt is an Anna Castle short story.

1587, and Trotter the executor of the will of Lady Thursby has found a body in her old home. He calls on Francis Bacon for help. The only evidence to the identity of the body and the events that preceded his death is the shirt he is wearing.
An enjoyable and well-written short mystery
