What happened to Claudia?? I really hope she died in ditch somewhere, but I think it's a wishful thinking...
I think the end to this series was kinda rushed.. There were also few things that didn't make sense.
Like those 3 women kidnapped El but suddenly got attacked. And straight after that attack they met El mates and they had to save Willow so nobody were angry about the whole kidnapping... just a bit of hurt feelings.. They get back to Pride like kidnapping never happened and the women who were convinced the mates will kill their baby [to the point of all that kidnapping fiasco] just changed their mind??
What about El's dad and Persia?? Did they got back together??
Was there a wedding?? El's from rich family out in public spotlight. Are they not keeping apperances at all?
And lastly I hate Persia/Jessa's reasoning for dumping El and going into hiding.

I enjoyed book 1 and 2. Book two had me confused, but not ready to give up in the story. It was explained that you get a dual shifter when 2 species cross breed. El's father is human and her mother is a panther, so how is she a mix of lion and panther?
I went to look at reviews to see if anyone else had issues or if this get cleared up in book 3. I did find a few reviews on Amazon talking about how inconsistent this book is but thought I would give it a chance. I got to chapter 5 and called it quits.
Book two Trip decided to cut of his friendship with Claudia and El doesn't even remember her. In this book El is mad that they took Ryan's mom to her and Trip hugged her.
In book 2 Shawn's mom is sick and needs a nurse to help out. Him and El talks to her on the phone and El convinces her to get a companion. Shawn thinks about how he wishes he could tell his mom about their relationship because his mom always knew his feelings but his mom would never understand El with 4 guys. In this book they are heading to see his mom after El fought with Trip and Rayan, and he tell El that his mother will be happy they acted on their feelings . Then when they get there Shawn's mom is not portrayed as being someone who needs a in house nurse, but a panther shifter who hasn't shift since Shawn was 1 because she promised her mate Shawn can live in the human world. Also in book 2 her name was Cindy and this book it Susan.
I am reading this on Kindle, so I used the search function and looked up El's mom name, Jessa, to see if she was a dual shifter. Jessa name isn't in the book. I looked up other characters name and find out her panther mom is now her friend Persia. No explanation on why book 2 was all about Jessa being a council womans daughter. Book two was all about finding out who her mother was.
I am done . It might of been different if I wasn't reading them back to back, I doubt it.

This third book in the Pride series brings lots of intrigue for El and her guys. An ancient prophecy, enemies at every turn, not knowing who to trust, and lots of danger keep Mate's Bite running at breakneck speed from start to finish. This one picks up where book two left off, and it takes off from page one without letting up. Becca Fanning also manages to give us some romance and steamy goodness amidst the danger and intrigue. One of my favorite things about this reverse harem romance is that every member brings something different to the table. We do see a bit more of Shawn in this one, but each guy gets page time and is important to the story. I don't know that this book finishes the Pride series, but questions are answered and it feels like a solid conclusion to the events from all three books. That said, there are openings for future books, and I'd be thrilled to read more of these terrific characters. All in all, another entertaining and engaging read from this author.
The punches keep coming for El and her mates. Every time she feels like she might just snatch a little bit of normal for herself, new secrets are uncovered.
In this installment to the series, El finds out that she is the subject of a mysterious prophecy. It seems her doom is certain. She and her mates will have to risk everything to stay together and build the family they all yearn for.
Action packed and steamy, this story builds on the history created in the first two books in the series and watches El grow into her newfound power and responsibilities. Her men continue to be devoted and steadfast in their love for their mate despite all the obstacles thrown into their path.
Thrilling and filled with mystery until the end.
This is an honest, voluntary review of an ARC of the story.
I have been waiting for this final part in the trilogy and was lucky enough to be given an advanced copy. This paranormal romance series has gone from strength to strength.
This was a very compulsive read and once started i could not put it down. The characters are very likable, each of the men / lion / panther shifters have their own individual personalities and they really come to life.
The story is non-stop action and just when you think you can take a breath something else happens. There is something for everyone, love, loyalty, secrets, intrigue, betrayal, emotional highs and lows and there are some unexpected twists and turns.
All in all this trilogy has been a fast paced, interesting read and my favourite of this author to date. I would absolutely recommend this.
4.75 stars This book pulls you in and does not let go. It seems as if El and her respective mates cannot catch a break. It appears that she is the prophecy’s chosen one which adds another dimension of problems to deal with. Although things are challenging, none of them are the type to shirk their responsibilities regardless of the obstacles they face. However, when El is unceremoniously taken all bets are off and the mates will stop at nothing to get her back. This is one captivating book from cover to cover that is fraught with mystery and will have any reader stuck in his/her seat. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.
I really enjoyed the first 2 books, but dislike the inconsistency in the 3th book with several things.
It annoyed me throughout the book, especially Shawn's mother going from frail and sick needing a carer to shifter that cooks and had a busy social life.
Also the mother part and the easy switch from being pissed off to accepting while she's abducted her is also bull and don't get me on holding hands with Leilani at the end.. just no. Not going to be reading book 4 lost the interest.

I don't quite understand how the can turn into their beasts and get stuck. It's really sad that her mom didn't bother 2 think things through b4 putting everyone through hell. And I didn't quite understand why they kidnapped her but thank God they found them in x. It's upsetting about Shawn's mom but it's a great honor 4 what she done. Hopefully they will be more of them in the future.
Mate's Bite is book three and final book in the series Pride Book by author Becca Fanning. Is this the end or just a beginning in this brilliantly written tale. Faced with gut wrenching choices and beautiful moments these characters become not just characters in a story but images that will sear your heart. Enjoy!!
This was well written, has phenomenal storyline and characters. I was entertained from the first page to the very last. An amazing addition to the Pride series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is the third book in the Pride series and it brings us some answers and even more questions in regards to El and her guys. As always with this series it is action packed and entertaining from the first page to the last.
A wonderfully exciting book! El is still finding herself in more trouble. Her mates do their best to protect her. Plus a lot of other things happening all at one time. It's quite easy to get caught up in all the intrigue and drama!
This book was my favorite of the series so far. I cried I laughed and just felt. I was a little put off in book two but book three definitely made up for it all. So excited for book four.
This book yanks you in and does not let you go. This book brings everything around to a wonderful conclusion of this series. It also leaves it open for followup stories and look ins in the future. I am leaving a voluntary review for an advanced copy of the book.
