Well light novel 20 was certainly the set up for this book. I can honestly say I had a hard time putting it down. Probably one of my favorite editions in the series.
Why does this author like to give me heart attacks in the span of one single chapter? I mean, we’ve had a couple of books of cozy everyday things, and then all of a sudden *bam* a buttload of information, and important, crucial information at that. The Zenith situation I was sort of expecting given Elinalise went through something similar, but I wasn’t expecting this particular course of events. The other revelation was kind of a shock. I wasn’t surprised because it made perfect sense, but I felt very dumb for not noticing before. All the signs were there! And I didn’t see them. This story escalated again, very quickly. This Man-God thing is really getting out of hands, and I need to know where it’s going.
An amazing conclusion to the Millis arc, very emotionally charged with scenes that made me want to curl up into a ball and listen to Frank Ocean with tears streaming down my face.

ZENITH CAN READ MINDS. Listening to the Blessed Child speak for Zenith in her POV was such a nice touch, for me it was the highlight of the chapter and one of the nicest details. I Enjoyed the conclusion with the family issues, seeing Rudeus struggle to make decisions because he loves his mom so much was adorable. I hope they will be able to cure Zenith in the future, but apart from that I am devastated to learn that Geese follows Man-God. It makes so much sense, I believe the author did a good job foreshadowing it.
Volume 21 is one of the better volumes in the series since a while. Not all that much action, but a lot of character development and showing how important communication can be, although one hopes that in RL family conflicts are not taken advantage off by others to this extent. It felt a bit short, but then again, the after stories about Eris' second meeting with the Blessed Child and the one about Geese were retrospectively very entertaining and informative. All in all, a good addition to the series.
This is one of the best volumes of Mushoku Tensei. There's a lot going on in the background and the fight between the Man God and the Dragon God intensifies towards the very very end of the book.
We see the inner workings of the Church of Saint Millis and the Temple Knights (otaku gang) and we finally find some new information about Zenith, I was so glad to finally find some info about her.
And I'm very excited for the next volume. Let's goooo!
awful is the only way to describe this book. I hated how weak and directionless rudeus was. I hated how it follows the past few books where suddenly rudeus is a saint who can do no wrong. I just found it to be incredibly lazy. I couldnt finish it I really tried I just hated how pointless this whole conflict was how disconected and irrelevant everything felt. I feel like at this point the author is just trying to pad out the series with progressivly shitty arcs. I mean this was as stimulating as watching paint dry thorugh out the whole time I had a blank annoyed expression. I really tried to get into this arc it was just terrible. I especially hated rudeus forgiving claire entirely I just felt it was terribly written honestly. I think a simple solution to better emphasize the themes of the novel would be for claire to face execution for her crimes thus showing the corruption of the church and it's willingness to enact cold calculated violence in the power struggle. then rudeus would come in and show growth in maturity by not forgiving claire but giving her a light but fair sentence which is what I think the original 10 year sentence was. I mean she's a noble so likely she'd just be on house arrest anyway so the initial 10 years punishment for her crime felt like a good verdict in my opinion. I mean the law today is if a father kidnaps his daughter and runs away in divorce court he still goes to jail it's still a crime and I think it's a shitty message that you should just forgive your family if they have good intentions for there crimes. I mean rudeus litteraly says this exact line "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" but he still becomes a limp dick loser and lets her off. I hate how spineless he is in these past couple books he feels like a aimless pussy who completely betrays any organic character development for a new passive saintly persona and I think it rings hollow and drains the soul from the series. With all this said I still love this series and this long rambled rant comes from a place of love and severe frustration with how one of my faviorte stories are being handled. I'll still likely read the next book I mean I'm this close to the end but I'm praying its atleast half way decent so the series can recover slightly from these past few terrible arcs.

Rijujin na MyGOAT! This volume had it all, humor, sick fight scenes, twisted reasonings, power struggles, deception, resolutions through ties that bind, revelations. Three extra chapters?! Completely delectable, the author cooked a hors d'oeuvre for the end game, and it was scrumptious. For a godlike entity, it came to me how so far all the previous disciples held someone else in higher regard. Damn it feels good to meet a real believer, whose self-deprecating comments for some reason feel to me much like Rudeus's.
WN - 4.0 on first read. A step up from the last novel, the Cliff arc was fun. Getting to see Zenith's parents was an unexpected treat. We didn't have a whole lot happen in this arc besides the expansion of some family relations, Cliffs rising status, and the introduction of some new characters, like the mind reading Miko. Even so, I enjoyed this arc. The expansion of Zenith's character was a highlight, but the best moment has to go to the letter Rudeus receives from an old friend, revealing some distressing info on one of the Man-God's apostles.
Woowww sekarang geese lg nyiapin anggota utk perang sm rudeus. Kayanya itu jadi battle terakhir di series ini.. roller coaster konflik yang bagus utk vol ini ⭐5/5. Kita lihat vol selanjutnya kaya gimana

This book was thrilling from start to finish. A very satisfying store in Millis that had me at the edge of my seat (and bed) for most of its pages. Rollercoasters of emotion abound as Rudy fights internal turmoil and decision anxiety. The twist at the end took me as much by surprise as Rudeus. I can't wait to find out how it plays out.
I really do enjoy this story. I liked how Rudy saw how much his mom family loves her and how Zenith loves him. I liked how the blessed child likes Eris. The big surprise is Geese being a man god follower. I can't wait for the next volume.
Usually the story goes, how far will a man go for his family. In this case it's how far will a Mother go for her child. The Author really slapped me in the face with this book.
Oh gosh, I think I'm totally going to cry for certain moments when this arc gets animated. I'm looking forward to it. Overall, I really enjoyed this volume.
