It’s Christmas time at the Callahan household and Drew is trying his best to find a little alone time with his wife, Fable. Doesn’t help that they have two little ones who demand all their mom’s attention, plus they have guests…
Fable’s brother Owen is staying for Christmas along with his girlfriend, Chelsea. Nerves are eating Owen alive as he prepares to ask the woman he loves the most important question of his life. Will she say yes?
You’ll find out all the answers in A DREW + FABLE CHRISTMAS! Plus read the first chapters from my next book, featuring Autumn Callahan all grown up! CLOSE TO ME is coming February 11, 2020!
One Week Girlfriend is hands down one of my absolute all time favourite series'. Drew and Fable are two of the best characters I have ever read so I was delighted to catch up with them, albeit a quick read. I will literally take anything I can get when it comes to this couple and all the secondary characters. Great , Christmassy romance that shows what happens after the HEA....
A cute update on Drew and Fable, now married with kids, Autumn and Jake. Fable's brother Owen and his girlfriend, Chelsea are there for the Christmas with plans of their own. It's a fun family holiday and a preview of what's to come. Autumn, the young daughter of Drew and Fable, will soon fly through time and she'll get her own book in February, 2020. Looks like there's a dark and gorgeous football player in her future.
It's always fun when an author brings back a beloved couple with updates on how life is going for them. Looks like Drew and Fable have a merry-ever-after!
I grabbed this one purely for sentimental value. It feels like a lifetime ago that I read Drew and Fable's story but I remember loving it. 2013,woah,I feel old now,I must have been a teenager then..
Nothing new here (only nostalgia), except for the beginning of Autumn's book, Close to Me. Annnd I don't like her. She was an annoying child and she is a very annoying teenager. I'm sorry, but she is exactly a cliché cheerleader. And since Monica Murphy is writing her voice, she sounds exceptionally stupid.
It's interesting how the heroine sounds like a 5-year-old and the hero a 25-year-old, but they're both teenagers, lol.
As I wrote in my More Than Friends review, Murphy cannot write YA voices. I don't understand why she is insisting when it's clearly not her thing. It's really painful to read.
I see no hope for that book. I don't like romances that span a long period of time, but maybe the NA part will be better. Maybe.
Adorei!!
Drew & Fable Callahan are one of the most beloved couples I've ever had the pleasure to read about. Their love is a thing of raw beauty and to get to catch up with them as parents is a true treat. With this Christmas story, we get to see firsthand just how devoted they are to one another. How the passion is still evident all these years later and how Fable's brother Owen is much like his brother in law when it comes to his love for his Chelsea.
Although I've read these scenes previously, Murphy added a bit more and in the end, it's the love that shines through. No matter what may happen, you can't deny just how perfectly imperfect these characters are and their flaws just make them more endearing. The magic of Christmas truly adds that perfect marshmallow on top!
I definitely wanted to give this 5 stars but i got confused and sad at some parts.
1-I thought Drew and his dad were mending fences so im shocked to hear they went back to arguing. It was really wonderful how the last full book had ended where the dad also embraced Owen a little. Im sad that didnt pan out into the future.
2-When did Chelsea father go back to prison?? cause this novella says "My father is still in prison" so when did that happen cause last time we sae him and her mother was at the noisy restaurant from the previous novella. no mention later of him doing more crimes and going back to jail!! did i miss something??
Anyways loved this christmas special and wish there were more family moments with the four of them together with the little kiddies!!<3<3
The perfect Christmas treat for Drew & Fable fans!
As soon as I started reading this novella, I had a warm, fuzzy feeling in my heart as I was reunited with Drew & Fable. I loved this cute, short and festive read. I also enjoyed the first few chapters from Autumn's upcoming novel. I can't wait to read the rest of her story when it's released. If you love Drew & Fable, this book is sure to make you happy.
I loved reading more about Drew and Fable. I miss their stories. I would love there to be at least one about them with their kids grown up. I really liked how this story is told not only from Fable and Drew"s pov, but also from Chelsea and Owen"s. It gives a glimpse into what it's like for Drew and Fable with little kids. I thought maybe the book would end with Fable, which it didn't. I'm still pleased with the story.
Enjoyed it. Loved slipping back into Drew and Fable's world and seeing how their Christmas was going several years after they got together. The side benefit of Owen appearing with some big plans of his own was a nice touch. Autumn's book should be quite special if the few chapters I read of it are anything to go by.
I could have done without this book. It’s fluff with no real plot and a huge cheese factor. The last half of the book is just deleted scenes from older books in the series and an excerpt of the next full length book which is about Drew and Fable’s daughter. As for her being a kid in this one... ugh. Reminds me why little kids annoy me so much. There was nothing cute about Autumn or her behavior.
LOVE Drew & Fable, Owen & Chelsea! Loved the book but at the same time I was slightly disappointed because I wanted new and if you read the entire series then you knew all that happened with the exception of a few new things but that's OK because like I said I love Drew & Fable!
What a fun Christmas story. Drew and Fable now together, but you know how it goes when young people have small children. The funny things that happen, hard to get alone time, yet the family time is cherished. Loved this short story.❤️
This is a really sweet and short story. It's Christmas time and the family is together. Fable and Drew have Autumn and Jake and they are still very much in love. Owen and Chelsea are visiting and Owen's nervous about popping the question. So very sweet and enjoyable.
I enjoyed this story about Drew, Fable, Autumn and Jacob Callahan and Owen Maguire and Chelsea Simmons. I enjoyed a glimpse into their Christmas together with kids. I love them all but Drew and Fable's are just magic together.
Well...it's just nice to reconnect with Drew and Fable again... Now with thier own growing up kids... I'm just curious if Owen and Chelsea kids will also be featuring on the spinoffs... I don't have the books yet... But pretty sure to give it a shot...
My Thoughts: This is a fun holiday read. We see parenthood for Drew and Fable, and Owen and Chelsea snippets. I enjoyed this series and its characters. If you loved reading the Callahan series or Players, I highly recommend you read this series regarding their parents.
