An update and reinterpretation of the 2,000 year-old sexual text in a fully illustrated, pocket-sized guide featuring specially commissioned photographs and information on ways to enrich and diversify one's sex life. Perfect for the night-stand or overnight bag, Anne Hooper's Pocket Kama Sutra, has miniaturized all the lessons her Kama Sutra teaches. Fully illustrated with more than 100 full-color photographs, this small book unlocks the mystery of this ancient masterpiece. From the art of seduction, to foreplay, arousal, and an incredible variety of sexual positions, this book combines the spice of ancient eroticism with the candid instruction of a modern sex guide--in a pocket-sized format.
Anne is an author, journalist, broadcaster, partner – and mother to three grown sons. She gave up the struggle to decide which of these roles is most important and relaxed into acceptance that all are important. Her priorities are: partner and three sons in equal measure. She writes to earn a living.
“Writing is not just about the joy of earning money. Writing, of any sort, offers such a spark of creativity that it compensates for the tough things in life. And of course life has been both tough and joyful," she says.
Nothing particularly informative - if you basically know how to have sex and know what massage is then don't bother getting this book as you're already more advanced than it is
I liked this mixture of historical references, useful modern information, and suggestions. Some more updating is necessary to modernize, and it lacks a cohesion needed to make it feel like a complete work (admittedly hard to accomplish in a pocket edition).
This book offers excellent suggestions and can be a wonderful experience for married couples to explore together. The positions presented are intriguing, and while the perspective on sex may not be entirely new, it delves into sexual nuances with depth, making it a valuable read multiple times.
Informative, I appreciated the combination of older text and more contemporary view to give it a little more balance. Nothing particularly new or unusual in here by today's standards, but still good info overall.
