Ben Spies is a young author living on the beautiful Kapiti Coast in New Zealand. Ben’s passion for writing led him to become a published author at the young age of nine with his first book, Weirdo. The Magic Pencil followed soon after at age ten, and The World of Greek Mythology at age eleven. Ben is thirteen years old now and is not showing any signs of slowing down. He has just published his fourth book and first sci-fi - 2020 - an action packed novel for older children and young teenagers.
Received as a review copy, this is an honest review. This is a bone chilling story about what happens as the Earth is sliding into being completely uninhabitable by the sun. Things get crazy as humanity falls into madness as people fight for survival or control as life disappears around them. A very realistic, thought provoking adventure. Highly recommended.
Really enjoyed the book! It is a very well written and engaging story. Love the characters and their values.. Single and strong Mum who raises by herself the boy Jacob; the gentle policeman Thew; Quy, a nice creature from other planet; and as we have in real life: bad politicians. Looking forward to read the next.
Review by my 10-year-old son: AMAZING! There's plenty of action, mystery, surprise and much more! Reminds me of that cool fighter jet game at Chuck E. Cheese.
