Four years of wasted time in a gang was nothing compared to what laid ahead for me—the rest of my life and what I chose to make of it. It would have been easier for me to head toward failure than to work my way out. But everything worthwhile comes at a cost.
Growing up a step above poverty was an excuse I used for circumstances I hadn’t wanted to claim as my own. At least until I was smacked in the face with them. Decisions and my actions would both play roles in my success and failure.
I believe life is defined by different events that lead us to our destiny. But what happens when events occur to two different people and cross at some point?
I’m Luca Lucio Moretti and I'll tell you the answer — My life. Her life. Our life.
Carson Mackenzie enjoys writing romance with a real feel inside the stories. She writes with the belief not every man is a jerk and not every woman needs saving.
Carson lives in the South with her son, a Great Dane and two adopted shelter dogs that keep the household in line. Books have always been a part of her life. There is nothing better to her than curling up and relaxing with a good story and losing herself in someone else’s world for a few hours.
Writing stories and growing as an author with each book is her goal. She wants to reach the level where a reader knows when they see her name on a cover, they can trust in the fact there will be a good story as they flip through the pages.
Carson’s journey into writing has only been for a few years. As she’s finally starting to settle in, she can’t believe she waited so long to start.
This is a well written short story with strong characters in Olivia and Lucio. The author does a great job developing their story and bringing it to life with her detailed scenes. They have a strong chemistry and I enjoyed watching them come together. I was hooked from start to finish and would recommend this book.

This story touched my heart. So much loss and heartache for two young people. Lucio lost his father by one of the gang members he was part of, and he felt the blame even though he didn't pull the trigger. He and Davis are best friends and have been since they were 4 years old. But things changed when his father was killed. Livi and her mom went shopping in New York even though they live in Boston. Livi plays the violin and was doing an audition there. One stupid driver ran a red light and her world changed forever. My heart went out to them both. HEA
It was lovely story. It made me smile. Livy and Lucio story was full of happiness and drama. From the tragedy to fullest potential of the their life and fulfill dreams. Lucio was really fighter, he knew how to get the life he definitely deserved. Hard work and family love. Livy was no nonsense young woman. Definitely recommended this short and sexy read.. One thing, you can’t play violin with broken forearm. Technicality

I received a free copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review Wow what a beautiful story. You would never imagine Lucio and Livi would belong together. But despite being total opposites they definitely belong together. They both tragically lost a parent which is the beginning of Fate bringing them together. Several times over the next few years their loved intertwined but they never truly met until it was their time. I just couldn't stop reading it and all I can say is GET THIS BOOK!!!!!

Two people who have yet to meet but who’s lives have crossed over the years..... Lucio is a boy trying to break from his past mistakes. Olivia is a gifted musician who now has to face a reality without her mom. When the two are finally brought together all the pieces click into place.
