Can't Wait for More!

I don't play Minecraft. I'm no gamer. But I'm a sucker for heroic adventure,  especially quirky ones. Robert Asprin's Myth series saved my sanity years ago,  and I almost never pass up a Terry Pratchett Diskworld book.

Now, "Diary of an Unlikely Hero" isn't quite as good, as those books, but it delivers light entertainment without taking all month to get through it.

"Diary of an Unlikely Hero" shows us the diary of a Minecraft librarian who it fastidiously avoiding his heritage as a member of the famous Silverblade family. (Well, it's famous in Minecraftia anyway. ) As you would expect,  Axel Silverblade soon finds himself battling dark forces dedicated to DESTROYING THE WHOLE WORLD!

He leaves the library, along with two,  more experienced hero types. From that moment on, the fun ride begins. I won't spoil the ending,  but I can't wait to download part two.

"Diary of an Unlikely Hero" gave me five stars of youthful entertainment for as long as it lasted, making me wish the diary didn't stop.

A Hero’s Tale

Absolutely phenomenal tale of three people who came together under unforeseen circumstances and seem to be an unlikely trio. The fate of Jebville cannot be undone but the fate of the world is in the hands of these three: Lady Grey, Darkmist and Axel. Axel is a librarian from Jebville who encountered Darkmist the Hero and Lady Grey (who reveals herself later). All three are fighting for the same cause: Destruction of the Ender King. Epic battles on an epic journey through Minecraftia keeps you turning the pages and chuckling at the witty diary pages. Captivating, gripping, witty, page turning story for all to read! After all a hero has got to do what a hero has got to do...the story continues in multiple books. Cannot wait to get the rest of the story!

Awesome of kids that follow the Minecraft game and terrifying they’ve now added a book to read

One of the most things I worry about is children have followed behind reading Soto make this game into a book was a great idea, it keeps the players alive and explains in more detail the characters involved in the game, kudos!

The grammar and editing is soooooo bad. But the story is pretty good and kept me and my 6 year old interested and wanting to read more. But was disappointed to find out it’s a cliffhanger. Trying to find book 2, but having a lot of trouble. I don’t know if it even exists.

Great for kids

An easy read for younger Minecraft fans. Enjoyable enough for parents reading with their kids. Not my thing per se, but it was good for bonding with your Minecraft fan.

Minecraft Junkies

This is a great read for those who love Minecraft. I love the narrator’s voice, reminds me of when I used to journal an keep up with thoughts and my own “adventures.” Lots of humor and storytelling for the curious reader.

Librarians to the rescue!

This book is great for young readers. It's about a game they love and it's hero is a librarian. It doesn't get any better.

Dairy of an Unlikely Hero

I believe this book would be a good read for children or someone is really into Minecraft. It is an interesting story about how Minecraft started.

Cute quick read for children and up

A cute quick read for kids (8+) that enjoy Minecraft. Easy to follow and clean fun for kids. My daughter will get a kick out of this when she's older (she plays a little now but doesn't have full grasp on it). May have my husband read this since he plays all the time and would catch all the nuances.
