After Dark

Rate this book
It wasn’t supposed to be this way.

I’ve spent my nights alone because that’s the best way for a predator to hunt their prey.

A chance encounter in a small diner in the middle of the night changed everything.

He was meant to be my victim, but he turned into something more...

From the moment I laid eyes on him, I was infatuated. He drew me in vastly different than all of those who came before him.

He’s a beautiful creature with the most delicate and fascinating features I’ve ever laid eyes on.

I needed to own his touch; to feel him run his fingers over my skin. I wanted him to consume me...

Having read both Yolanda and Murphy in the past, I was really excited to see what the two would put together.
Definitely not disappointed. The story of Bohdi and Knox definitely threw me for a loop. The push and pull between the two characters was surreal and intriguing. Seeing two sides to a story is always one of my favorites, and I love when you get to see how each character interpreted the event.
These two authors definitely put a smooth read together that was crazy and, dare I say, fun.
Would love to see what else they can come up with!

This was fascinating. I loved it. It was so dark and interesting. I couldn’t put it down. The plot was so unexpected and captivating. I liked the main characters. It is a very dark themed book but I like such books. It might not be suitable for every reader but the ones who like their books on the darker side will be able to enjoy it as much as I did. The only issue I had, the only reason I didn’t give it five stars, was that I wanted to be a little bit more emotion in both main characters. I felt like there were moments when I could entirely get in touch with their feelings and it bother me, but not enough to not let me like the book.
I will definitely look for more books by the authors.

Yolanda Olson will forever be one of my favorite authors, and for good reason. Every book she writes is twisted and terrific. It's just the right amount of deranged and dare I say... romantic in that ... taboo, toxic manner? haha. We get the added bonus of this being written by Murphy Wallace as well.. and -chef's kiss-; these two are fabulous together.

In After Dark, we meet Bodhi and Knox. Yolanda has this way of making you feel some sort of emotion for each and every character she creates... even the most messed up ones. I think that's part of why I love her books so much. This one was no different. Bodhi is unique..... Bodhi has a "condition" that turns off most people... but not Knox. And well, Knox is just .... obsessed. Two perfectly messed up individuals who thrive together..... kind of. ;x

read the trigger warnings. This isn't for the weak of heart.

This is the story of Knox and Bohdi. Both are very similar to each other but they are also very different. Bodhi has a condition. It can put off most people, but it makes some people curious. And you know what curiosity did to the cat right... Knox on the other hand has a obsession. It could have been a innocent one but Knox takes it to the extreme. Now both are very crazy in there own right but then combine them together and you don't know what you're gonna get. This was a cowrite and at times I forgot that 2 people were writing this. I love both authors on there own but now that they have written together I hope they will definitely continue to in the future. This is not a love and chocolates story so don't expect any of the characters to have a HEA.

These authors are new to me but with that cover, I could not resist reading this book.

I picked it up late last night and read it all in one sitting. I went in blind so I wasn't sure what to expect and have to say it was interesting and definitely not what I expected. Through this book I learned that murderotica is a trope. Who would have known? That's news to me.

This book was different from most of what I've read, but I'm glad I picked it up. It was a good different and it kept me intrigued while it lasted. I'll definitely be reading more from these authors. I'm curious to see what else they have written.

Murphy and Yolanda gives you a twisted tale of desire and hunger. While in a diner, Knox notices Bodhi as Bodhi has unique characteristics that sings to Knox. Knox doesn't back down when he wants something and forms an obsession. Bodhi starts to wonder if Knox can be the one.
But don't judge a book by its cover as neither knows what devilish deeds the other hides in After Dark.

Some authors don't work together, and some create absolute twisted magic.

Yolanda and Murphy are the latter, and After Dark is a twisted journey that starts in a small diner and ends where nobody guessed.

Bodhi and Knox are two very different individuals, and one chance meeting leads to them discovering that sometimes the biggest monster isn't yourself.
And sometimes, it is.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DARK

Whoa... I couldn't stop reading. I was on edge because of the characters and the dark crazy situations they put themselves in. These authors matched perfectly. The story flowed beautifully. I felt slightly bad for one main character. I'm not going to say which one. Just expect the unexpected. Keep your mind open because sh*t gets crazy after dark

Warning! this is a MM story with all intense murderotica you may not be able to handle. Knox and Bodhi go on a roller coaster ride and until the very end you can only just hold on tight and enjoy the ride. As usual, this story is well written, full of twists and turns and everything a dark, dark romance should be.

In After Dark we meet Knox & Bodhi, two extremely engaging charachters who prey on others and when one of them sets their eyes on the other, things don't go quite as it should. It was a brief telling of the dark side of human nature. I'm hoping for a continuation of this story and the two intriguing men. Good story telling by both writers!

Evil Twisted Read

Knox and Bohdi will completely blow your mind.
They are both similar inside their twisted minds.
When they first meet they are immediately drawn to eachother.
The ending is quite fitting.

Not my eyebrows on top of my head right now. What on gods green earth did I just read. I mean, if Knox got exactly the same treatment as Bhodi's every other victim what's the point of the story🤨. Sheesh this book definitely disappointed me.

Murphy and Yolonda.
Holy moly cheese on toast what the heck did I just read?! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE ENDING! That was genius! I have read stories by each author separately but small them together and damn! This story was packed with so many emotions of longing and love and fear and coming up on top that I was left speechless when it was done. This is a 5 star read hands down...

WOW!!!!!!
I am a fan of both Murphy's and Yolanda's words so I am not surprised how good this book is.
We meet Bohdi who has a unique look, and that peeks the interest of Knox. Well they seem to be well matched, but of course with a dark twist.
This is a well written book that will keep you guessing until the last page

I quite enjoyed After Dark. Olsen and Wallace knows how to write dark and twisted stories, that's for sure! However, it wasn't the darkest I've read from them.

When reading the blurb, you just know that the ending are going to be either way. So when I got to the end, I wasn't surprised. My one and only complaint is that the ending felt a little rushed.

When the ending happened the way it did, did it make them both participant to the pianist's death?

“After Dark” definitely falls under the category of what I call, deliciously dark. Imagine not one, but two predators stalking each other and falling for each other at the same time while doing some grisly work on the side? As the plot moved forward, all I could think of was, who’s going to out-predator whom? The sexual tension and danger grew with every page and I couldn’t get enough of it. Get ready, it gets really hot and gory in the end. A fascinatingly twisted story from two great authors! Recommended to all fans of the genre!

A riveting dark, twisted tale. Two intriguing characters; both creepy, their story addictive and fascinating. Together they were explosive and the atmosphere between them was intense with so many layers. It was a true page turner that made me gasp on several occasions. A dark read lover’s delight!
