I hadn’t thought about him since he left me. He was my childhood best friend… until, one day, he wasn’t. But we weren’t kids anymore, and I had to grow up in ways no kid should. When he reenters my world, I don’t recognize the man he became. He fulfilled his dreams, and I didn’t even have a single one. He had his life figured out, and I worked two jobs just to make ends meet. Someone, somewhere, has a messed up sense of humor, pushing us together again.
ARC review For honest review this is a story of Natalie who is in college and working two jobs while she has a mother that abusive. Then she meets sergeant a ex military man suffering from pstd and she knew from her past. Beautiful 10 stars
There aren't many reviews on this book, which is a shame. If you enjoy the genre of bully romances, then this one should definitely be on your list. C. C. Piper has a bit of wandering throughout the story, but all in all, it’s a good read. Natalie is being bullied and Fate has brought her and her best friend from Jr. High School back together years later. Whether these two facts coincide with each other or not, you'll have to read the story to find out, it's well worth the read. Just know going into it that not all your questions will be answered and there is absolutely a cliffhanger. Luckily for those of us just getting to know the characters and storyline, book three, "Love You, Bully" is already out and available.
First book to be read by Cc Piper and Jacob Allen. Ok in my opinion this is not a bully romance. If anything it's a fore-play, friends becomes lovers romance. You had a girl who liked it rough but never had sex and her best friend who was in the marines who suffering from PTSD who is happy to fulfill the fantasy. No bullying what so ever not unless you count the mom and the foolery she pulls. I will say I loved how Sergeant didn't baby Nat, he made her stand up for her n let her cower. Those scenes were great
What a strange life Natali has had. Bullied by an unexpected source, this story pulled me in. She doubts herself at every turn and keeps it all bottled up inside. Eventually, it has to break.
I never received the file even after contacting Booksprout about this, the problem wasn't solved. So actually I have no idea how this story goes, because I wasn't able to read it.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
