I really liked that this bible study was focused on a specific part of the bible, most of the bible studies I've done up until this were a little more general and attempted to address more of the bible. This, since it was more specific, was able to really unpack the segment it looked at. I do think, however, Lucado's take was a little too focused on the individual rather than on God/Christ. Much of it focused on "do you participate in church enough?" or "do you tithe the proper amount?" and I really think the focus should be more on God and the individual's relationship with Him.

Another great way to delved deeper into scripture! Love studying 1 Corinthians using Max Lucado’s tool. Easy to follow with daily step by step Lesson plans. Thought provoking questions that really help you to apply your own understanding of God’s Word to your own life. Highly recommend.

An oldie but goodie
Max does a great job taking an old message from a self indulgent church and showing us that there is indeed nothing new under the son. A strong message of hope from Paul to a divided church speaks volumes to today's church living in a fractured US. There divisions are familiar to us today yet we serve a God of the future now. Through what Christ did for us we are to feel that hope and be United in vision and purpose. We done Max, good and faithful servant.

Lucado does some pretty good stuff. I like focusing on one book of the Bible. This has some very thought-provoking questions, and some that left me cold, which is usual with books with questions. I'd say give it a try if you like Max, or Corinthians.

It had some good questions, but wasn't a very good commentary like I was expecting - it's more of a journal experience

Studying I Corinthians with Max Lucado
Good study where the author dwells on the key issue in each chapter of the book. Excellent insights into God's Word.
