Diary of a Pug: Paw’s for a Cause is an amazing book that will warm your heart and make you think about helping others. It's all about Bob, Bella, and their new friend, a little kitten they found in a field. They decide to take the kitten to the cat shelter, but they discover that the cats there don't have enough food, water, and toys. They're bored and in need of some entertainment.

To solve this problem, Bob and Bella come up with a brilliant idea. They decide to start a Pet Wash to raise money and buy toys for the kittens. At first, they try filling up a kitty pool with water and giving the cats a bath, but it doesn't work out as planned. So, Bella gets an exciting idea! They design the Pet Wash just like a car wash but for pets. It's a pretend car wash where the pets go through and get cleaned. How cool is that?

Now, the big question is, will their idea work or not? You have to read the book to find out! The story will keep you on the edge of your seat as you follow Bob and Bella on their mission to make a difference in the lives of the kittens at the shelter.

One funny thing that happened in the book was when the kitten licked Bob's nose. It was so unexpected and made me giggle. It showed me that sometimes the most adorable and silly moments can happen when we least expect them.

The basic message of this book is that it's better to be late than never do something. Bob, Bella, and their best friends, Jack and Luna, had a deadline to bring the toys to the pet shelter, but they couldn't make it on time. However, instead of giving up, they still came a few days later. This taught me that even if things don't go according to plan, it's important to keep going and make a difference when possible.

Diary of a Pug: Paw’s for a Cause is a heartwarming and inspiring book that will make you think about the power of kindness and helping others. It shows us that even small actions can have a big impact. I highly recommend this book to all kids who love animals and want to make a difference in the world. So grab a copy, join Bob and Bella's journey, and discover the joy of giving back!

Apparently young Bella and her neighbor friend are STEM geniuses and in a matter of hours can by themselves design and rig up a conveyor belt system modeled after the car wash in order to have a dog wash. Also, they placed one sign outside their house and that was all the advertising they needed to attract several customers. Sounds realistic, right? 🤣🤣🤣 Oh, and our hero Bub the pug puts aside his dislike of being wet to help out AND rescue the dog treats from the neighborhood squirrel menace! 😁 But these books are good-hearted, the illustrations are impossibly cute, and I know that Bella and Bub's kind-hearted fundraising story inspired at least one little boy in our area to raise money for the local shelter. In fact, hearing about that service project is what inspired our family to read this series in the first place. I do enjoy reading these books with my dog-loving kiddos.

My daughter loves this series and so we've read this one several times. It follows the shenanigans of Bub (a pug), his owner, and his friends (as well as his "nemesis", so to speak, Nutz). It is written in diary format with bright illustrations, which adds a layer of fun and novelty.
This particular plot is about how Bub's owner finds a kitten and wants to the help raise money for the shelter she drops it off to. As with the other books in the series, Bub's owner usually has a learning moment and has to change the trajectory of what she was doing to do it another way that ultimately leads to a better outcome or at least not one previously thought of.
Great for fans of Rebecca Elliott's Unicorn Diaries and Owl Diaries.

An easy chapter book graphic novel in which Bub, his human, and their human/animal friends find out the local animal shelter has no toys for the cats or dogs so they brainstorm a way to raise money to buy toys for the animals. Bub is not thrilled that this plan involves lots of water, but his doggy friend Luna is excited.

I like the process of trial and error that is modeled in the fundraising plan to find a process that works. The illustrations are cute. And the book highlights a need that readers most likely can fill in their own local shelters (toy donations and people willing to play with animals at the shelter). Hand this to little animal lovers.

Bub and his owner Bella, found a lost kitten. Though they love her and want to keep her, Bella's mom says that she has to go to the shelter as they already have Bub and another cat as pets. As Bella and Bub take the kitten to the shelter, they notice how there are no toys for the animals to play with. Bella comes up with an idea to fill that need.

The illustrations are really cute in this diary formatted story. I enjoyed how Bella saw a need and set about to find a way to meet it. In the course of their attempt to do so, they run into a problem and this time Bella finds a solution to solve it.

Children's first chapter book. Baron Von Bubbles (Bub) is a pug that likes fashion, his owner Bella, and his friend Luna. But he hates water! When Bella decides to run a puppy wash to raise funds for the animal shelter pets to have toys, Bub is quite reluctant to help.

A cute story with full-color illustrations. I enjoy stories narrated by animals as a change of pace. I did think the puppy wash the kids built was a bit optimistic, and found it hard to believe the parents would allow an unsupervised pet wash in the yard. But other than that, the story was fun and had a good message.

My first of this series. It wasn’t necessary to read these in order, although I will go back and read the previous books. The Pug was super cute, as all the color artwork was. I can always tell when a Pug book is written by someone that actually owns a Pug. This is the perfect series for a beginning reader (1st-2nd grade) to transition to chapter books. Told from the Pug’s point of view. Adorable! I look forward to hearing how my great niece likes them, since I bought her the series for her 7th birthday.

My oldest loves reading, I have been reading him chapter books since he was 3. His little sister has had a little more trouble finding books that she likes though.
I was so happy to find this series, it was totally up her alley! She loved it so much that when we were at the Library yesterday she picked up 2 other chapter books to try out. I love seeing her find books that she is really interested in!

I love this book because I love how they get the idea of making a car wash or a pet wash they get the idea to make the car wash Because the first person there had three pups and then when she came back she mentioned[ I just got my car washed]. I also loved the park where they find the kitten but mom doesn’t let them keep it so they try to get toys for it because they realize that the animal shelter can’t afford it so. They try and make money.
