Lilly, a lifetime con artist and David her treacherous brother, come head to head with Gods and demons of the Underworld in a battle for the world. Freyr God of Love must decide can he trust Lilly after her ultimate deceit in their battle to save the world, especially since they continue to realize they need each other in all ways that count.
This was a really good book and an easy read. The characters were unique and each brought something to the storyline. Lots of action, twists and turns that will leave you wanting more. Eager to fine out each pairs individual story since this author was new to me. The concept of this book was fascinating to me. Loads if entertainment and greatly written.
I highly recommend this author and a continuation of this series! I’ll be eagerly looking for the next book. Thank you L.A. McGinnis for this early ARC and for giving me the chance to read your work!

Great read!
L.A McGinness’s 5th installment of the Banished Gods series delivers everything the previous ones did and then some. This time it Freyr, God of Love who gets his chance to find, ironically, love in the unlikely form of Lilly, a tiny sprite of a woman with a not so pure past. As the group of banished gods continues their battle with Hel and the Orobus, Lilly and Freyr learn the true meaning of love and trust. As always, McGinnis weaves her story with amazing precision and keeps you on the edge of your seat with unforeseen twists and turns. Can’t wait for the next one!

Freyr, the God of Love, is on a mission when he wrecks to avoid hitting a girl that comes out of nowhere. This girl is Lilly.
Lilly can't leave Freyr, and he's in no condition to drive, so she takes him home. Lilly is offered a safe place to stay and fed for the night. When Freyr makes a miraculous recovery, Lilly knows something is up.
When a planned battle doesn't go as expected, Freyr has to face the fact that there was a betrayal, and he's to blame. There may not be a day to fight anymore, but a day to flee.
Fast paced read! I liked that the Protagonist, although must do things not of her choosing, at her heart exists a good soul.

This book is amazing! It’s the 5th book in the Banished Gods Series and focuses on Freyer, the God of Love, and Lilly Domenic, a woman with an eidetic memory who has survived pulling cons for her crime family (most recently run by her brother) since the age of 5. Lilly has a problem...her brother, David Domenic. He is working with Hel, has ordered her to bug the Tower, which she does, but she finds she has feelings for Freyer and the others that live there. She leaves before she can do all he demanded and pays the price. She is now his prisoner and knows Freyer will never trust her when he finds out what she’s done. There are fights between the Immortals and grim, lots of fireworks, explosions, anticipating the return of the Orobus, Hel and her tricks and Freyer finally finding his “home”.

Lilly Domenic has been running cons since she was a kid. When her brother forces her to plant a bug and gather intel on the guys in the Tower, she knows it's wrong, but does it anyways.
Freyr is lonely, even more so after watching his brothers fall in love. Lilly isn't anything he expected but even after her betrayal he feels connected to her.
While the whole gang works to prepare for the upcoming battles with Hel, Orobus and her brother's forces, Lily proves valuable to the team with her keen insight and ability to piece information together.
There's a lot of fast paced action, but very little resolution on the overall story arc, with Orobus. There's battles, kidnappings and additional information revealed about the stones, Hel and Odin but they are all teasers, not giving any true solutions to ending the threat once and for all. The story cuts off abruptly, not giving a reader a feeling of closure for this segment of the storyline making it feel unfinished or missing pages.
While I like these characters and the action, this book seemed to just tread water. The romance between Freyr and Lilly was nice but I enjoyed their characters more than their romance itself.

Fighting to save the world...
...with breaks for sex.
Chicago. Gods. Mortals with their own powers. This volume expands the tale, yet focuses more on Freyr, as described by Lilly:
"God, he was gorgeous. Blonde, with a too-handsome face and the kind of cheekbones seen on billboards and fashion ads. Very gently, Lilly wiped the corner of her scarf across the cut, catching a small rivulet of blood. He was breathing okay. And the bleeding was slowing down. Mostly. Reaching out again, she went to brush away another drop of blood when his hand caught her wrist in a crushing grip. Foggy golden eyes locked with hers and held on like there was an unbreakable lifeline stretched between them."
The gods are beautiful, hulking intelligent men who each seem to have a weakness for a human female. Hel, the villainous goddess, is an interesting character smitten by girl stuff like name brands, high heels, torture, and world domination. The human ladies are stronger than mere mortals for a variety of reasons.
As the saga ramps up, each book is more action than the previous. This one ends in a bit of a cliffhanger that makes me happy the next is not only released, but already downloaded on my Kindle. A highly engrossing, enjoyable series.

As we hit the 5th book in this series, this book centers around Lilly and Freyr – but the main back story is continuing, and it’s ramping up in a crazy way. Lilly, coming from a crime family and pulling cons her entire life, has the perfect photographic memory and strategic mind. She can’t be trusted at first, but she does find her place – and along with the other strong women in this series, they all contribute something new and unfailingly helps the immortal warriors. But with the Orubus coming through, all Hell is about to break loose, literally.
I can stress the importance of reading this series in order. The main story arc in each book continues on after each other, and you may be a bit lost if you just pick up any of the series. But it’s well worth the time – this is a fantastic series, full of action, Norse Gods, hot scenes, and great dialog. This story has some great twists in it, especially in the back end of the book and will keep you guessing on the edge of your seat. What a fantastic series this would be on the small or large screen.

The lovers has the whole team back again, but focuses on Freyr and Lilly. I fell for them when Lilly took charge of taking care of Freyr. She knew what he needed more then Mir.
I loved seeing the interactions of the team and how they have grown and become more to each other, more like family. It was interesting seeing them through Lilly's eyes. She has only known them for a little while, but she can quickly tell the team is missing something, or more correctly, someone.
We get to see a "human" side to Hel, which was a surprise, and yet not with how complex the other gods are. It shouldn't be surprising that she is not one note either.
I was floored to find out there is more to come. I cannot wait for the next one.

This is another great addition to a Great Series That I Love! I enjoyed seeing another couple find their way together and Happy! More Mythology which I Love! I am looking forward to reading more in this world. I Loved It!
