Henrietta and Ralph are asked to investigate the death of a son of a friend. They are invited to a party at the friends house. A gun shot is hear and a dead body from the son. It all works out for the best with the arrest of the killer.
I would recommend this series and author to readers of romantic family and friends relationships adventure mystery novels 🤔😃 2024 👒😘
I love this series! Henrietta has been told that a dear friend of her's has met a bad end. Ralph, her friend/detective that she helps on cases, that they have been friends for a very long time broke the news to her. Henri and Ralph went to the funeral and Louella the mother of the person asked Henrietta to help find out what happened and who was involved. She asked Henrietta to come to a masquerade weekend to investigate. There is a new detective Dan Culper that is on the case also, and has been invited. The three are at this weekend party, and things start to happen that is not right. Henri is running around this huge mansion trying to fit pieces of this puzzle together and more suspects keep popping up. The big rain storm has dampened the fun. Other things happen and now you MUST READ for details. I lost a lot of sleep wanting to know more. You won't be disappointed!!!!
Another great read. We are getting more entrenched into the lives of our characters and the new ones introduced just seem to slot into space effortlessly. A great plot of murder, schemes, cons and fraud. Shouldn't the Christmas period be full of joy? The death of an old friend's son leads to a funeral and an invitation to a masquerade. However hints have been dropped that the death wasn't an accident but murder. She doesn't want to attend as her sister has just recently relocated but finally agrees to go. A boyfriend, an investment company, missing monies, a new groundsman, a body, another murder and secrets and revelations. Will they finally understand what has and is going on? What actually happened to her friend's son? Why does the new groundsman look familiar?
I had to chuckle at Ralph actually being willing to attend a fancy party when he found out Henrietta’s friend, whose son was just killed, had invited her to it as an investigator. They teamed up there with Det. Dan who was a friend of Ralph's from the force and eventually figured out the very twisty mystery. Ralph’s son Scott’s always lotsa help with his behind the scenes computer diving work.
Henrietta’s sister Clementine had moved to town so Henri, Ralph, Clementine and a very surprising other guest, who took an immediate interest in Henrietta’s sister, all celebrated Christmas Eve together.
Henrietta Hewitt is invited to a friend's home for a long weekend costume party. When her friend, and hostess, Louella, tells her she needs her to use her PI skills and she will give her the information when she arrives at her mansion. Henri talks her partner about the invite and he agrees to go with her. Louella's son Blake was killed in a car wreck and there were things that didn't make sense. It was an exciting read. I enjoyed it very much.
Blake, Henrietta’s friend, was killed in a car accident and buried. His mother Louella had previously scheduled a Christmas costume event at her mansion. She invited Henrietta and Ralph to attend not only as guests but to use their skills as investigators. This was quite the deal but something was not right about the whole thing. And then…the scream! Great sleuthing followed and when all was said and done and all were home once more, a Christmas Eve dinner at Clementine’s apartment proved to be a gift that touched my heart. Good reading for a most excellent story!
Another cute cozy mystery featuring Henrietta and Ralph. Can someone die twice? Maybe or maybe not. A story featuring a death that's not so accidental. With Henrietta's investigative skills and Ralph by her side, will they find the truth for her old friend or will the murder remain unsolved?
Another good read by Danielle Collins. Henrietta and Ralph solve another murder right before Christmas. And the promise of romance ends the book. I can't wait until the next one?
As usual Danielle Collins did it again, kept my interest throughout the whole book. I don't want to spoil it for you, but you definitely have to read her series Hearts Grove Cozy Mystery.
It's Christmas in Hearts Grove. Henri's sister has come to stay while they search for the sister's son, and a good friend has just been killed in a car accident. Or has he?
Holidays are here and Clem has come back but will they find her son by Christmas or not? Will Ralph and Henriette ruin their friendship or not by complicating their relationship? Fast read and another good who done it? Who is the "concerned fellow sleuth"?
This was another very enjoyable read. These little mysteries are perfect for that period of time you need to relax before falling asleep. The only problem is you may not want to stop reading.
Another good book in this series. This one was a bit easy to figure out whodunit, but it had a couple of other surprises. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next
