Great novella about a tree nymph whose tree gets cut down at Christmas. Abi is taken to the woodsman's home where she has an out-of-tree experience that won't be forgotten by her or the family. Told from Abi's point of view, I almost felt her pain as her tree was brought low by the chainsaw (instrument of death to her). Made me wonder if flowers and trees do feel what is happening to them.
