On the run and looking for somewhere to stay, Kaylee picked the wrong town to stop in, and she knew it the moment the witch ran into the bear shifters. All she’d wanted to do was stop for Christmas, and yet, fate had given her more than she’d bargained for under the Christmas tree this year. Max was everything that she didn’t know she wanted, but she couldn’t stay and let her troubles catch up to her, and didn’t want to leave him behind.
Kaylee had more than just herself to think about; there was Jackson too. He was the reason that she’d had to leave, and she had to put him ahead of her happiness.
Max couldn’t let her go, could he? He had a witch for a mate, and not everyone was happy about it, but he didn’t care what they thought.
With a snowstorm brewing, trouble knocking at the door, and a pesky vampire lurking, things didn’t always go to plan, but fate always won out in the end, didn’t it?
Love, laugh and join the clan this Holiday season with a romantic comedy that’ll warm your heart.
Ok. I must stare the beginning was kinda slow in the sense i wasn't sure where we were going plot wise. Alot of mysteries in the family going on. But the dialogue…wonderfully fast paces and light hearted. I love the comedic aspect of this author. Often shifter romances can be so dramatically dark and brooding. It can make the reader kinda sad or cold. Pretty sure this is one author ya cant be sad reading.
Yes. Sex is described. The witches aren't dark and scary. Kinda remind me of the ABC SAT Morning cartoon “Miss Witch”. I would have to give a rating of R for sex scene.
Truly one of the BEST books I have read with a paranormal Christmas theme. I loved the dynamic between the bear male lead and female which lead as it's not "insta love thy mate " read; and the supporting characters held significant interest so much I'd like to read these characters stories too. My only complaint was I wish the book had more chapters to read! My first read from this author and I will follow ML Briers as I truly enjoyed this Awesome Read
Another great read from ML. Always light hearted but sarcasm has it way also. Love some good old wooing & a HEA. I also love the hang around vampire, always one in her stories & what trouble they bring. I give this review freely & would recommend any of ML books to my friends.
He was cardboard and she was mean and sarcastic. Struggled to like her at all. His family, and the vampire, were way more interesting; the family interaction was extremely well done. And maybe my sense of humor differs to Ms Briers, but I didn't think the story was particularly funny- certainly not a comedy.
I really liked this book for it was very family oriented. I liked that the heroine was sassy but not mean. The hero was kinda slow at first but he did finally get his groove on. There were times I laughed out loud. Overall a group read from this author.
I always enjoy these romances but I think this one is the nicest one so far ,it has romance humour and family fun ,it was a very easy read,so if you want a book to sit and enjoy read this.
Max and Kaylee are a funny and cute couple and Jackson is great. Would love there to be another story involving this couple and more of the characters in the book.
Absolutely wonderful characters that interact with each other beautiful! Fabulous plot twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend this series.
This book was ok, it took me a long time to figure out what I was reading. Personally I don’t care for drama and this story was full of unnecessary drama
Kaylee a witch and her seven years old nephew Jackson move into town and rented a cabin for christmas. Max a Bear Shifter clashes with Kaylee at his father's store. Fated Mates, Max must woo! His Mate, Kaylee and bond with little man Jackson!
Room for more stories about the Bear family, room for more mates and a Witches story. Laughed out loud at some of their antics and the one liners. Look forward to reading more from this author
I really enjoyed this book. It was short but sweet. I would have liked a few things answered and for it to be a bit longer but overall it was a good read. I would like to see a series written around this story.
