The immensely popular Booktown Mystery series is what put Lorraine Bartlett’s pen name Lorna Barrett on the New York Times Bestseller list, but it’s her talent -- whether writing as Lorna, or L.L. Bartlett, or Lorraine Bartlett -- that keeps her in her readers' hearts. This multi-published, Agatha-nominated author pens the exciting Jeff Resnick Mysteries as well as the acclaimed Victoria Square Mystery series, and now the Tales of Telenia fantasy saga, and has many short stories and novellas to her name(s). Looking for a great read over the holidays? Well here are six wonderful short stories. Take a stroll through Victoria Square and meet the merchants and find out about their shops. Listen to their stories, the friends and what they will tell you.
This was fabulous!!! This collection of five stories about the merchants of Victoria Square was very well written, interesting and such an enjoyable read. The publishing was sub-par, for example, one chapter did not have page numbers, some cover illustrations were referenced, but not included, but that did not take away from the joy of reading this book. An added bonus is the recipes at the end. I hope this gifted author creates a volume two about life on Victoria Square.
This is a fantastic collection of short stories that center around different characters at Victoria Square. Even if you've never read the Victoria Square mysteries by this author (which I highly recommend) you will enjoy these stand-alone tales. Each one features a heartwarming dilemma or mystery and is appropriate for any and all readers. There are six short stories in here, and I love every one of them.
I love this series of short stories, since they dive into the lives of some of the sellers and individuals of the Victoria Square series. There are some great, heartwarming stories here, that you will want to be sure to read!
