When a Vampire and a Dragon get it on, more than just magic happens...

Mia is a nightwalker. A Vampire born of two Vampire parents. More than that, she's a Sanguenna. A coven leader. In the twenty-first century, ruling a coven involves keeping the Emperor happy all while paying his excruciatingly high taxes by running Coven, a successful nightclub in NYC.

With the holiday season upon them, Mia had no idea she'd be getting her own gift under the Christmas tree this year. In fact, she had no idea that gifts even came in the shape of seven-feet tall Dragon Shifters who wear Savile Row suits like they were born in them. But, lucky her, that's what Santa brought this year, and, shock shock, horror horror, she opened up her gift before the 25th.

Naughty, naughty.

With a mate bond under way, a bizarre mating ceremony to endure, and a Dragon Queen to meet, it's a bizarre Christmas to be sure. But bizarre or not, Christmas miracles do happen.

They just don't always take the shape you might imagine.

COVEN is a 60k word standalone novel and the first book in a soap opera-style series. Previously published under Christmas: Dragon Style, it has been substantially revised, lengthened, and re-edited.

Step aside Santa and let Dear Serena take care of us!

Dear Serena,
For Christmas this year I would love, love, looooove ❤❤ a dragon mate of my very own. I've been a veeeery good bad girl! 😉

XOXO

Thank you Serena Akeryod for giving me dragons and oh what a way to give them to me. To start with, the Coven is a standalone book with a cliffhanger 🤣🤣🤣 Each book is about a different dragon/vampire couple but has a continuing story throughout the collection.

Why you ask? For the very reason I love her books. Mistress Serena has taken what we have come to accept as the norm and flipped it upside down, spun it sideways and added a citrusy twist. Our citrusy twist includes but is not limited to...The Twenty-first Century vs. The Black Plague. WiFi and Netflix vs. Viking pillaging. A 7 foot tall, ancient and possessive dragon vs. A Christmas loving, independent vampire coven leader, a Sangueanna. Despite all these differences, Vampire Mia and Dragon shifter Remy are both fierce, strong leaders on their own but together the just might invincible and what their worlds need. If they survive the mate bonding that is!

The banter between them is hilarious. Trying to explain their individual worlds to the other creates a lot of laughs, some drama and builds a beautiful new world unlike anything I've read before. Oh and the way the mate bond works! Was not expecting that. A completely new experience that I'll leave for you to read about. Expect the unexpected but prepare to love ever minute of it!

Happy release day!!!!!

4 ling stars

I love this author and her ability to weave so many genres of stories and make a reader interested.
This is a new category for me dragon shifters. I never would have imagined the story that occurred . I love the intensity of the ending.
The banter was hit and miss with me there were parts I loved and disliked.

I love the pureness of the main character and I feel we will get to know him more and love him more . The female character didn't make me love her sadly .

What do you get with a dragon that is head of a household and a witch who is head of hers?

Whose realm will win in the battle of love ?

“She’d taken all of him. Snatched it from his grasp, stolen it almost and claimed it as hers. The feelings flooding him were enough to drive a lesser man insane. She was there, in his soul now.”

Christmas Dragon Style started out with a bang. From the first sentence to the very last word I was glued to the book. Remy Dreconis is a strong and dominant dragon. Yes, DRAGON!! He has been alone for such a long time he has given up on finding his mate.

“After being alone for so long, after having to sleep half his life away in the misery of not knowing if the Mother would ever grant him a leman, she’d gifted him Mia.”

As a Sanguenna, Mia LeRoche is beautiful and independent. She has been far too focused and busy ruling her coven to look for a lover. The last thing she wanted was a man who would no doubt try to control her but something deep inside her subconscious is trying to tell her otherwise. When Remy and Mia meet their chemistry is volcanic. I loved witnessing their love and connection grow. I’m definitely ready for the next story in the series. I recommend this book if you enjoy sexy paranormal romances.

“This dragon was hers. Nothing and no one could tear them asunder.”

Loving it

This is my first non Rh book in like 18 months and it was amazing. Mia and Remy were interesting and well thought out. I loved learning about the dragons, goblins and vampires of Ms. Akeroyd’s world. The relationship between dragon and Lemon was fascinating. Can’t wait to read Leman!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Mia is Sanguenna of her vampire coven, (laymans terms it’s a blood bond.) She owns a night club which has a nice mix of day walkers who were born from a human parent and a vampire parent they have long lives but are not immortal and full out vampires that were sired by two vampire parents who are immortal.

For the last few weeks Mia has been having some very erotic dreams that has started making unnoticed changes in her body. While a bit sexually frustrated Mia has not taken any steps to take care of that carnal need. Her world is very ordered and she is at the apex of her power and is not willing to step down or bow to the whims of a consort.

Remy a newly awakened dragon is on the search for his Leman or his mate. Dragons can only mate with a Sanguenna/Sanguenn they are the only supernatural beings to be able to carry their offspring. Remy meets Mia as the last on the list of unclaimed Sanguenna’s and their first meeting was not exactly filled with sweaty palms and longing sighs. Remy was a bit of a boor and Mia was sharp tongued. Under all of the rough trappings thou they were both intrigued by the other.

When Remy tells her that in order to see if she is his Leman she would have to travel to the other realm she decides to go despite being a bit nervous as to what the results would be. Once there and Remy lets his beast out Mia proves to be his mate. Remy omitted that when the mating bond starts that the non-dragon mate loses all use of their extremities temporarily thus making them totally dependent on the dragon mate.

Mia used to having complete control of herself and her surroundings is mortified to find herself being carried like an infant. Remy understanding that his proud Leman will not take being incapacitated very well is very tolerant and solicitous of Mia’s needs.

A dragon’s only desire is to see his mate happy Remy is in turns sweet, sensuous, cajoling and not above calling out Mia when she is being too sharp tongued. As she is going through this period of infirmity Mia’s normally sharp tongue has to be tempered as she realizes this is not Remy’s fault. Her sexual frustration is very high as her mate will not consummate their relationship till her body is back in full functioning order.

What I really loved about this book is the pacing. The characters are very mature not to be confused with ancient just their dealings with each other and those around them. Both have been around for a while and not given to childish outbursts or erratic behavior. Mia is a strong leader, who protects and loves those in her coven. While she is a bit lonely at times she knows if she shows any sign of weakness there are other Sanguenna that would love to take over what she built. So she puts aside her needs to take care of her loved ones.

Remy has slept on and off for centuries, the last time he slept for five hundred years as his leader put a halt on dragons being able to find their Leman. This time he was awakened when he felt the changes happening in Mia. As he only had a feeling and not an actual face he had to go searching for her.

Once they found each other it was great watching their relationship grow as they both bent for each other and protected each other. They found themselves doing and saying things to make things easier on each other, some things they didn’t even think about they just did because it made the other happy. It was a sweet love, filled with an underlying sizzle that you know would burst into full flames once given its release. It had some prickly moments, some well that wasn’t nice of you moments, some I will try harder at being aware of your feelings moments and some totally endearing moments. For me a great story about an enduring relationship with lots of sizzle and sparks.

Nothing gets me excited like a good shifter story, and this one, had one sinful, alpha Dragon and a fiery Sanguenna. These two had terrific, mind blowing chemistry that was felt like it could kill my kindle with some sizzling heat. The story is perfectly paced, charming and fun. The world this story is set in is incredible! Its fresh, and different and full of unique characters.

Ok

This was a ok read prob would have been better if it didn’t suddenly just end. This is suppose to be a standalone, the ending was just a beginning for the next book which from reviews doesn’t end so you would have to purchase the next book. That is what I would consider a series that just has different couples in each book but no ending till series is complete.

A paranormal like no other I have read in quite sometime! Serena’s writing is one that I can’t stray too far from — and one I dare you to shift towards!

Coven, the first of a Dragon shifters tale, is one that I can’t get enough of. These characters will emplore you to turn the pages faster; just how Remy shifts back and forth. I really enjoyed how Serena brings witty and humor content into her writing and within this romance it’s not just a dry-romance. It’s live, romantic and edgy.

My only dislike is I felt like there wasn’t enough angst or ‘tip of the plot’ if you can call it. Like, what are we leading up to in the story? I feel like once we got to the very end on meeting a ‘certain person’ that was it; but then the book ended. Anyways, I am eager for the next book, Leman to continue onward with hopes of Remy, Mia and Georgios.

What’s not to like about a good paranormal shifter romance? Add the unlikely species bonds, of vampires and dragons, and you have my version of a Christmas read.

Insert dragon and vampiric lore, fated mates, and fantastic crossing between human and supe realms—this is a must read!

Witty one liners abound as with anything from Ms. Akeroyd. “She juggled balls; she did not caress them.” Along with steamy dreams, hot alpha males and beautifully crafted imagery.

Remy is hot as, pardon the pun. Desperate to find and claim his mate. As was Mia for him to claim her. “The fireworks that ignited inside her soul were like no other display on this earth.”

Mia was contained and regal, fitting her status as a vampire coven leader. Loved watching the icy exterior melt for Remy.

Can’t wait to re read Georgios’ book next.

Oh man I seriously cannot get over Serena’s writing! Let’s be real I’d read anything with Vamps in it so i definitely had to read this!

Didn’t know what i was getting into when i started this one but let me just say that i was not disappointed!

I seriously feel like i need a sexy dragon of my own 😂 twists and turns galore as usual but oh so good! I literally couldn’t put it down when I started. This is definitely one of those stories that is filled with tons of laughs and surprises.

I’m in love with this world that Serena has created and I cannot wait to read more! This is one of my new favorite reads!

If you guys haven’t read it yet then seriously check it out! Definitely 5 stars and i highly recommend it!

A Quick, Original Read

I am a big fan of this author and this fun supernatural Christmas story did not disappoint. It was a quick read and definitely left me wanting more but that has more to do with the quality of the writing than the length of the story. I loved the characters and the world that Serena Akeroyd created because it was truly original and that’s getting harder to find nowadays in the “supernatural fated mates” genre but the idea of the Leman was so good and so interesting to read that I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens next! Mia and Remy are fantastic main characters and their love and their journey as new mates was so fun to read. I definitely recommend this book!

I love this book. Mia and Remy are such great characters. When I think things about couples sometimes, I think what does he see in her - she’s so uptight, annoying, etc. or he’s so arrogant, stuffy, etc. Then I remember people aren’t always as they seem - they put on a shield to others. Seeing Mia and Remy together and bringing out the best in each other makes me love these characters. I love their loyalty to those around them and how they both compromise - one doesn’t have to give up everything for each other just because they are mated. They aren’t perfect which makes them real even in a fantasy world of vampires and shifters. Serena pulls me in time after time with her wonderful stories and characters.

Remy and Mia are what every couple should aspire to be. The power of their bond and the depth of their love hits all the warm and fuzzies. As always, the author writes an engaging story, bringing to life characters that the reader can't help but fall in love with - Remy with his swoon worthy devotion and Mia with her snark and strength. Adored the humorous banter between the two - especially when it involved the differences between their realms. I enjoyed the quicker pace of this series and the cliffhanger - soap opera-esque ending. Amazing world building. Fantastic characters. A love to be envious of with just the right amount of steam. What more could a reader want? Highly recommend!

Serena Akeroyd did a fantastic job with Coven. I’ve read many fated mate books and Remy and Mia just took a spot as one of my favorite couples. I liked that the heroine was spunky, independent and very successful on her own prior to meeting the hero. Also, a huge plus was Remy respected those attributes about her from day one even though he was a very alpha character. Other characters were also introduced that I’m excited to read about in the future. Coven did end on a cliffhanger so beware if cliffies aren’t your thing.

Kindle Unlimited.

Let me start by saying that even though I gave it two stars, there's nothing wrong with this book. The characters are interesting, the world is creative if not overly unique. The problem that I had with this book is that there is no conflict. Both characters fall into the mate bond with no issue. Both adapt to the idea of a new life together without complaint. Both see the bond and each other as a gift.

There is NO CONFLICT IN THE BOOK UNTIL THE LAST PAGE. Then, it ends on a cliffhanger.

A fantastical mate bond tale with a Christmas backdrop!

A fantastical holiday story! What’s not to love about a dragon-vampire mate claim told against the backdrop of Christmas? This story is a joy to read. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book in the series. Even though this is a stand alone, it very much leaves you dying for the next! Great job, Serena, on another great read!

Cute for Christmas!

This is a cute and easy Christmas themed read.

I loved the characters, they have a snarky kind of character and so most of their conversation between the two MCs is witty banter, which I love.

This was the perfect book to read for Christmas as the FMC is a Christmas fanatic just like myself.

Totally loved the story as well. It was thought out and I think a lot can be built from this foundation.

A Twist on Fated Mates

I read a LOT of shifter novels and this one is so good! Serena really changed it up with how mates are found, bonded etc. Mia and Remy's rapport is amazing. I love the Vamp/Dragon mating. Two of my favorite supernatural beings paired up is just tops.. Is there a cliffhanger? Yes but totally worth the read prior to the next book! I don't want to give much away but its a great story. Can't wait for the next one!

I was wanting a great paranormal read and I don't recall reading a Vampire/Dragon combo before. For me, Coven hits all the high marks. I don't normally like to start a series until it's completed but I trust Serena Akeroyd to deliver the full package. I want more from these characters! This looks like it's going to be another book addiction for me and I'll be constantly looking for info on follow-up books.

Definitely worth the read

If you're a fan of Serena's writing you won't be disappointed. To be swept away by the man of your dreams is what all of us wish for. Well lucky for Mia that is exactly what she gets. Yes it's a lot more then what she dreamed of but she is more then ready to take it on. Let's just hope the dragon realm is ready for her.

Dragons and Vampires "Oh my"

Remy has been searching for his mate for centuries. Could it be possible that Mia was his. Mia is like a breath of fresh air. Her mouth has no boundaries. Their story is beautiful. Of course , it ends in a cliffhanger. We have to wait till next time to enjoy, hopefully , a HEA.

Just Wow

I absolutely loved this book! Mia is a strong valiant vampire. Remy is every woman’s dream. I mean, who wouldn’t want a dragon to come sweep her off her feet? While Mia holds her own, determined not to lose herself as she transitions into this new part of her life, Remy shows her what it is to be loved wholly and unabashedly. This is a MUST READ!!

A story line to begin a legacy

The versatile nature of Serena Akeroyd's imagination and writing skills are once again shown in this amazing story. It is the perfect foundation for a future full of amazing stories and yet still sucks you in with a single spicy story.

This author really has amazing talent.

Love but...

The story is amazing and I rather love the characters however there were a few grammar errors that where jarring as well as one reacurring issue. The author wrote dearling instead of dear or darling. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not one time she did write darling though so...
Also I hate cliffhangers

Remy oh Remy!

Absolutely love the collision of the two worlds!! Serena writes with such descriptive detail that I felt like I could see every scale on his body and her calf! How someone has made a vamp and a dragon getting it on hot, steamy, romantic and beautiful at the same time is beyond me but she has, she’s gone and done it and managed to make me laugh at the same time.
