Outstanding conclusion to the series

One of my favorite zombie apocalypse series out there. The governments plan to create a super soldier gets twisted and miss used and begins the zombie apocalypse. This is the final book in this extraordinary series of our group of heroes that try and survive and help others survive the zombie apocalypse. A never ending search for a cure or an anti-virus to stop the apocalypse. Follow our heroes as they fight against remnants of the former government and evil corporations that began the whole thing. Action patch from beginning to end. Written with heart and emotion and some of the greatest characters ever written.
Starting in book number one and ending in book number 12 you will find many characters do you love and hate. Many of them will not survive but some will. As always zombies are not the only death causing evil out there. Mankind always has plenty of evil doers ready to step in and take advantage whenever possible. A very well written and character driven story that will entertain you beyond believe. Check them all out. You will not be disappointed.

I'm so sad Nate and Bree are retiring

I've devoured every Green Fields novel and waited impatiently for the next one to come out. Annihilation was bittersweet for me, as I knew it was the last full length book of the series, but despite that, it's definitely one my top two favorite GF books and I'm super pleased with the ending. Every storyline was tied neatly together without being awkward and almost all my questions laid to rest. Adrienne Lecter is far and away my favorite post-apocalyptic writer and I can't wait for the new series she teased at the end of GF #12! Thanks for a great series and I'm so happy I found it! If you're new to the series, read them in order. You'll be lost otherwise. These books are very gritty and raw and I'd recommend them for an 18+ only crowd for violence, gore, and adult situations.

Wonderful bloodthirsty book enjoyed

I have enjoyed the whole series from book one to book 12, all of the adventures sadness bloodthirsty zombie/insane humans will to do whatever it takes to succeed in their part of a disaster. Through the book series the many losses of my favorite characters and the end the sadness to get to this point is unbelievably long., Will miss these characters extremely and hopefully the writer will continue with the next generation so we can see their fruits of their labor

A perfect ending

I’m a huge fan of the entire series-so much so that I didn’t want it to end. That said, this book perfectly ties together any loose strings in a believable way (there’s nothing worse than a bad ending to a good series.) Looking forward you seeing what books Adrienne gives us next.

Sad to see this series end

I fell in love with this series from book one and religiously bought the next as soon as possible. This has been, hands down, one of my absolute favorite series. I loved Bree and her band of misfits, and always managed to get sucked in to their world. I will remain an avid Adrienne Lecter reader and can't wait for more :)

Lewis you are my hero.

I never thought I would finish a 12 book series, but this story, these characters made me feel like family. Ms Lector is an amazing story teller and my new favorite author. I cannot wait for more from her. As a VN veteran, I know people litke Nate, Richards, et al. I found their ups and downs believeable. Bree Lewis, I love you.

Wow

What a brilliant ending to what has been an excellent series of books!! I'm sad for it to be over, I've loved everything about Green Fields. The characters, fabulous plot and the amazing attention to detail. It's definitely in my top 3 Zompoc must read list!

I love this series - the best series and story overall that happens to have zombies in it. Definitely recommend it if you like a strong, sometimes too winey MFC that beats all odds and, with a huge baggage of lost friends and innocence, comes on top. In the books i did not fully appreciate Nate's character (MMC) and his internal conflict he does not allow his people and the reader see during a high action filled story. I thin kit makes sense to read the books one after the other but i also enjoyed Nate's POV stories that rounded him up for me. He feels he is loosing himself and gets to the background during development of the story but you can see that he chooses to allow his wife to be in the forefront and that he changes significantly his stance during the story development.
Another important thing that does not really transpire in the books is that he loves Bree passionately from the beginning and the drama and tension between them is really generating from Bree's personal insecurity and doubts.

absolutely love this series!

OK so I may have lost a week of my life housework piling up think my husband has probably left me or thinks that I must have died as he has had a very quiet house apart from the odd giggles and ranting at my self while reading he actually said that the smiles coming from me was unnerving him lol!
This isn't just another zombie apocalypse series it is THE zombie apocalypse series to read one book is never enough! totally binged read all 12 books! now I feel lost and sad that I have come to the end but I guess I'll just start again!
this series has everything you want and need laughter, twists and turns with you feeling every emotion going and excitement to the very end you haven't read a zombie story until you have read this there's no words to describe how fantasticly written it is the author a true genius story teller so what are you waiting for start at book one and don't stop!

wow…what a series, must read, standout in a saturated genre

I stumbled upon this series after finding Adrienne’s recent offerings (World of Anthrax - also must read) left me desperate for more. And Green Fields hasn’t disappointed me. I have devoured these 12 books in 2 weeks max. Unable to put my kindle down for even a minute if I’m honest. The writing is fast paced, and the scene and characters have depth and from the start get you invested in their journey. I’ve felt so much of the character’s emotions from crying like a baby back at book 4 to laughing at the banter between them. You will defiantly be along for the ride and feel a part of the ‘Lucky 13’ WHEN you read this series (not doing so really isn’t a great option). It’s been a long time since and author has left me utterly satisfied in my quest for apocalyptic fiction, but here I am satisfied!

Amazing till the end

I tend to get bored the longer a series 'prattles' on as it's normally filled with the same plot each time. Not this series. While the basic 'good vs not-so-good vs evil' played a huge part in each novels plot Adrienne managed to successfully keep the storyline fresh and relevant. I loved how characters weren't left behind in one book - we got somewhat of a finishing story to each group and an epilogue to close the series off (and potentially open it for a sequel if the author so chooses. With a very real-life potential disaster start that we could face today, I thoroughly enjoyed each and every second I spent diving headfirst (with all my fingers attached) into each and every time delivered.

I will miss this series

What can I say? To say that this was brilliant to me is an understatement. I got the ending that I wanted. We lost many friends along the way and my heart broke . The writing as usual was perfect because I felt like I was there in every scene. I'm sure I will read this series again just so I can revisit my friends and all their adventures . Thank you Adrienne for these characters with all their strengths and flaws.

Holy spitballs!

This book was fantastic. The whole series. Bree and Nate throughout the series keep you on your toes with their drama and banter. The character development is top tier. The zombie thing has been kinda of over done with walking dead and things like that but I really feel like this series feel through the cracks. Even my husband is working his way through on audible...Please please give this a shot its totally worth it!

Series worth Committing to ends :(

I have been committed to this 12 book series from the beginning, love each one for what it showed. Reading the last book knowing it was the end was hard, I really wanted to save the last chapter forever but you have to finish it #breestyle lol Kudos to this series and all it is- read it!

Amazing journey

I’m not sure how I feel about this series ending on me. It has been an amazing and wonderful and heart wrenching journey with the characters of Bree and Nate. I’m not sure what to do with myself. And I absolutely love the ending and the happiness and HEA that the characters got they so deserved. I’m very happy and sad to see there journey come to end.

The second read was just as entertaining as the first!

I really enjoyed this series the first time I read it. A few years had passed, and I thought I would reread the first book only. But, of course, I got drug in all over again. The character development is so good and the depth of personality is fun to read. Thank you Adrienne!

What a ride!

Absolutely enjoyed these books, I’m pretty sure I’m a virologist at this point haha! From one til twelve each book captivated me and pulled my heartstrings along on this wild journey. I felt as if I personally knew the characters and went through each heartache with them. Thank you!

No real epilogue

That epilogue was a bit disappointing. We honestly don’t get to hear about the cure to the effects of the serum??? Honestly there is no epilogue. For those of you interested in an actual ending it is none existent. The epilogue is written from a traders point of view and it contains very little information about our group

I loved every single book in this series even tho the dynamic between the FMC and MMC was so antagonistic.
I made the mistake of trying to read the anthologies of short stories which offer a different POV from the FMC's and occur throughout the series. With the series done, it was just unfulfilling to read them afterwards and in a bizarre order

brilliant

I’ve really enjoyed this whole series, I’m a bit gutted it’s over and I cried during this book, without giving anything away, but the death and loss of a friend was so well executed it was heartbreaking. The way the story twisted and turned right up to the very last second was incredible. I highly recommend this series. It’s one I will return to for sure.

I’m so sad to say goodbye to these characters. I’ve struggled with this book, only because I so badly wanted to keep reading but never wanted the book to end. so bittersweet, but thankful for an ending that tied up any loose ends or questions leaving me feeling like the series was thoughtfully concluded.

The End

All things must come to an end, so it was bound to happen sooner or later. With 12 books in the series there were a ton of ups and downs, plot twists, and character development. Some things I loved, some not so much, but I am thoroughly grateful to have been along for the ride. I hate goodbyes, but have no regrets reading the Green Fields series.

Awesome

I’ve never stuck through a 12 book series before and this took a while because I didn’t want to see it end. Excellent characters and a unique approach to the entire zombie apocalypse that actually makes sense and seems possible. This might be the first series i read over again.
Bye Bree, bye Nate!

I have loved the whole series. All 12 books. I pretty much devoured the first 11, but this last one took me forever as I just didn’t want it to end.

SPOILERS

Did not see that ending at all! And still don’t know her name!

The epilogue confused me as well. So I might have to read that again.

The best author evaahh

There is one thing I didn't like. My memory.
A fantastic and descriptive story that had me trying to recall certain episodes of the tale that were mentioned in later episodes.
Well done Adrienne Lecter and thank you.

A great ending for a good series

In this series, I've really come to like and care for the main characters, and i grieve and hurt with them. It's the end, and whether good or bad outcomes, it's sad to part
