Rainstorm

Rate this book
It may be Rainhorse’s most harrowing adventure yet.

Rainhorse is called in to help "Wolf" Steel and "Bootstrap" Saunders find Carmen, the missing sister of their SEAL brother, "Chili" Davis. Carmen was kidnapped by a notorious sex trader, Benjamin Flagg, who intends to sell her into prostitution in Tenancingo, Mexico.

Kay Bennett, a beautiful woman, who seeks her own missing sister, comes forward with information. Sparks fly between Kay and Chili, but they must set aside their feelings until their sisters are safe. Rainhorse and the SEALS face insurmountable odds to challenge and defeat Flagg and his militarized organization.

I am new to writing romance, though I have written professionally in the media world for over 15 years. My first published novel, Searching for Honor, went to #1 on the entire Amazon KindleWorlds network and held the position for three weeks.

When I'm not writing I am spending most of my time with family. With two children and two grandchildren my life is hopping.

I just celebrated my 40th wedding anniversary.

These may be the toughest odds Rainhorse has yet to face in Jacobson’s new release – Rainstorm. An enemy from his past that slipped through his fingers years before is back in a big way and ready for a final showdown, to the death. With the aid of Matthew “Wolf” Steel and Trevor “Bootstrap” Saunders and a newer SEAL on the scene, Juan “Chili” Davis, they face overwhelming odds to pull off the most daring mission yet.

Outgunned and outmanned these four men put it all on the line to rescue Chili’s sister from Rainhorse’s old nemesis, Benjamin Flagg and his diabolical lieutenant, Ivy Stipe. With the help of Kay Bennet, a young woman who escaped Flagg’s clutches once before and who is also determined to rescue her sister, the men and Kay team up to take on the trafficking ring to save the young women held captive, including Chili’s sister, Carmen, and Kay’s sister, Mary, before they are lost to them for good.

Juan “Chili” Davis is newer on the military scene and is known for being impulsive and hot-headed but after a frantic call from his estranged sister, Carmen, whom he has not spoken to in a few years, he rushes to her rescue with Wolf and Bootstrap in tow. Thankful to have them at his side they mount an unsanctioned rescue mission with the help of a mysterious ‘friend’ of Wolf’s and a lovely young woman that he is drawn to at the worst possible time. He needs to keep his head in the game, no distractions if he and the others are to succeed; however, his heart seems to have an agenda of its own.

Kay Bennett is by no means a shrinking violet, as they say. She is strongminded, resourceful, and determined to be involved in the recovery of her sister and the other girls taken by Flagg. Her guilt weighs heavily on her shoulders as she faces the fact that her sister was kidnapped because she escaped and she will not rest until Mary is free. Meeting Chili and the other men was a godsend for her, now only if she can convince them to bring her along on the mission. Getting close to the younger SEAL that has drawn her eye, will be a bonus. She hopes there will be a chance for her to explore the connection they are forming once their sisters are safe.

This book, like the others in the series, will pull you in from the start. It is a riveting read full of action, suspense, and harrowing situations that will keep you on the edge of your seat from the first page to the last. There is also a light romance with a sweet HEA and a foreshadowing into the next story in the series at the end. Caroline (Wolf’s wife) from Susan Stoker’s Protecting Caroline and Honor (Bootstrap’s wife) from Jamison’s own Honor series also make appearances along with Rainhorse’s wife Neha, Lindsay and little Jackie.

Loaded with drama, an exciting storyline, and great characters, this book is another winner in the series. I look forward to the next adventure for Rainhorse and his friends as they go up against his newest enemy to eliminate the threat and keep his loved ones safe.

*I received an ARC of this book from the author and I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Special Forces: Operation Alpha is written by Jesse Jacobson. This novel is packed full of action and suspense. It deals directly with sex trafficking in the US and in Mexico. This is a business that we tend to want to forget about or ignore. However, it ranks right up there with drugs as a major money-making business. The men involved with both are ruthless and evil. They will allow no one to get between them and their profits.
Benjamin Flagg was the boss of one of the parts of the sex trafficking arms of the Zatas out of Mexico. He had one of the largest groups and brought in the greatest amount of money to the Zatas as well as to himself. He had a ranch in Arizona where he gathered girls to be sold. He had a group of women who willingly worked with him to recruit young girls or to abduct them to be brought to him. When he had enough together, he would take them to Mexico and sell them. Meanwhile he used them for his own and sometimes his men’s pleasure. Today, pleasure was not on his mind. Two girls had escaped. One had been recaptured when the older couple she had taken refuge with had called the sheriff after she had told them not to. She had called her brother, who was in Afghanistan at the moment, and he was sending someone to pick her up, someone safe. Instead of waiting, the couple called the sheriff and they were killed while she was retaken to Flagg. Her brother, working with other SEALS, was on his way to Arizona to find her.
Matthew “Wolf” Steel and his friend, Trevor “Bootstrap” Saunders had come to Arizona to help Chili find his sister. Wolf had taken the precaution of asking a had left the SEALs and become an assassin but had reformed. He had connections in Mexico that Wolf and his men might need to find and free the girls. Rainstorm agreed and was even more agreeable when he learned the target was Benjamin Flagg.
Could these four men find the girls and rescue them before they were sold? Flagg had cleared out his ranch and had a good headstart for Mexico.

I recieved this ARC for an honest review.

This can be ready as a stand alone. But I promise you, to get the full picture read the others in the series. You will so not be disappointed.

In this book we get to see some of the old favourites Wolf ( from The protecting series) And Bootstrap ( Trevor (from fighting for/ defending Honor). We meet newcomer to the story Chilli who's sister is kidnapped and is going to be trafficked if he doesn't get to her.

With Wolf and Bootstrap, Chilli sets out to try and find her.

Along the way they meet  Kay who escaped where they think Chilli's sister is being held. Kay now is trying to find her sister who was taken because of her escape.

With one step forward and two steps  back success may not happen. Even with help from a great source this might be mission failed.

Great read once again the story keeps you guessing,  there are some twists and some hold your breath moments.

I always enjoy this author's work and she seems to just have a knack for drawing the reader in and keeping you there. If I could give it 10* I would.  Fab read.

An awesome read in the Rain horse series.

What can I say but WOW. I love Wolf as a character within any of the books that other authors write within this kindle World (I know they don’t do them anymore but that’s what I call them still) I always love a good Rainhorse story and this one was just brilliant and the way the author led up to another adventure for my main man was just great.

My favourite quote that got a real giggle out of me was when Kay replied to something Wolf said……….

“How will I know if you’ve been seen?” she asked.
“We’ll be running really fast,” Wolf explained.

I still giggle now thinking of it. An awesome story for a character I have come to love through his adventures. I can’t wait for more books from this incredible author.

Wolf and Trevor are helping a fellow seal track down a human trafficking ring when Chili finds out his sister has been kidnapped by the ring.
Wolf calls in Rainhorse to help. The man that is the head of the ring is an enemy to Rainhorse.
Will they find the missing women? Will Rainhorse stop the man behind the ring?

Good read

When his sister is kidnapped and held by a man running a sex trafficking ring, Chili asks his friends for help. Kay was kidnapped but escaped, then they took her sister. Now Chili and Kay are trying to get them back. To help them Wolf calls his friend Rainhorse. They trace the girls who are being sold to Mexico and try to release them.

Rainhorse is back with some help from Wolf (Susan Stoker's SEAL of Protection), Jesse Jacobson's own Trevor Saunders (Protecting Honor) and introducing "Chili" Davis, a young SEAL on the team. Rainstorm is a fast paced, action packed run and a terrific read. Enjoy!

Excellent book. I've read them all and this is my favorite so far. Jesse does an excellent job writing this book. You have the action you expect along with Wolfe and the others. The best part of the book for me was the episode with the candy machine. Plenty of action and a hea.
