What’s the worst place in The Underground City? How about the Ninth Level, the Morgue? After I narrowly escape the clutches of Alaire, the Master of the Underground City, I find myself on the back of a winged Fury in the middle of the ninth circle, The Morgue, and I’m not sure where to go, what to do or… how to get down.Tallis has been left to his own defenses in the eighth level, The Asylum, and Bill is MIA. I have no idea how to find either one of them or where to even start. After I get attacked mid-air, I find an unconventional ally in the form of Manfred Albrecht Freiherr, otherwise known as ‘The Red Baron’. Yeah, that one.Manfred informs me that a civil war is brewing in the Ninth Level of the Underground City between a legion of rebel demons and the old-world order. And guess what? I find myself smack-dab in the middle of this war, a war that’s encouraged by Alaire because, as usual, he wants something…All I want is to make sure Tallis and Bill are safe, but in doing so, I’ll get thrown into the thick of it where I’ll be forced into the fight of my life.Yeap, just another day working for Afterlife Enterprises.

I’m a huge fan of anything paranormal and I always have been. I get super excited whenever they have those Twilight Zone Marathon days and anything ghost or vampire related will always attract my attention.

My interests are varied but aside from writing, I’m most excited about traveling. I’m extremely fortunate to have been able to live in England and Scotland, both places really having a profound effect on my books.

Thanks for checking out my books and I hope you enjoy them! Happy Haunting!

Welcome to the ninth circle of hell or as the people in the underground city call it the morgue. Lily is trying to find her way out with the help of a fury . She just doesn't know how to get out . Tallis is in his own kind of hell in the eight circle or as some like to call it the Asylum and well angel Bill is just gone MIA and poor Lily doesn't know how to save either of them . Then when Lily ends up smack dab in the middle of a war all because Alaire wants something of her . Will she survive and will Tallis and Bill find her before its too late
The characters in this series just get better and better . Tallis is well he is just one sexy Scotsman . I love his no nonsense approach to things and how he will fight to get back to Lily and keep fighting . Lily is one strong woman she has been through so much and now she is harbouring a new entity in her body that is fighting to get out . She really does a good job keeping him under control . And then there is Bill , I love him , he is a hoot . He is kind of a foul mouthed angel who is always there to help out if needed . I truly love theses characters and have a big crush with Tallis . Yes I know but still the brogue is so sexy . You will love them too .
This is a fast read for me , I snuggled down and read it in an evening . The author has woven such a great story and universe that the story inhabits . I like the fact it feels like an updated Dante's inferno with the new levels that they are fighting through. The author throws in a few historical characters in this book that are there to help Lily out . I won't tell you who but you will laugh your butt off when you read them . This is a great read and you should add it to your winter reading list . This series is so fun to read and you will snort and sigh and maybe fall in love .

Lily has found herself in the Morgue, one of the circles of Hell and is now the vessel for a pretty angry spirit. Her love, Tallis Black, and her guardian angel, Bill, are missing. The trio find themselves in precarious positions, grouping up with unexpected inhabitants, and involved in conflicts while trying to find each other and figure out a way to leave Hell.

Lily is a strong character, rolling with the hand she's been dealt. She stands strong in the face adversity, through her disconnection between Tallis and Bill, and with the cranky spirit. Her ability to stay level-headed and friendly while attempting to find her way out shows how good of a character she is and I couldn't help but root for her. Her foul-mouthed guardian angel is a hoot. His mish-mash of the English language had me laughing out lout and shaking my head. Tallis is a broody Scotsman but his feelings for Lily are quite evident. His character is also strong and I rooted for him and Bill, too.

This is the first book I've read in H.P. Mallory's Lily Harper series. While I enjoyed the story very much, I will be going back starting from the beginning. There are many things that happen or are referred to that I wasn't really sure about. I was able to move around it and most of the book fell into place without requiring knowledge of the previous books. The author does a wonderful job providing some details from previous events to aid in keeping the reader abreast with the story.

I was provided a copy of this book to review.

Lily Harper just barely escapes Master of the Underground City, Alaire, and starts to search for Tallis and Bill. She rides on the back of a winged Fury in the middle of the ninth circle, The Morgue, bravely facing whatever she must to find those she cares for, as they are also fighting to get to her.

This author always gives us amazing books, and it’s nice to see the characters we have followed for some time in this series. Lily herself is still delightful and seems to have become much stronger now, a fighting force to be reckoned with even on her own. Tallis is brave and strong, still every bit a hero. Bill will never change – he’s still a lovable, foul-talking bumbling angel that we can’t help but love, because in his own way, he is dependable and loyal. Grab your copy and catch up on the story line. It’s always an adventure and you won’t want to miss a thing!

Lily has grown incredibly as a Retriever and is able to fend for herself with some internal assists. It is great to see her fight alongside Tallis and be able to stand up to Alaire skillfully. Historic figures are woven into the story line and brighten a dark episode. Bill is still funny and irreverent but he has also grown.

I always hate when I finish an H.P. book, because I don't want it to end!
However, it never takes too long and she has another one ready to read.

Most of the story has Lily, Tallis, and Bill separated and looking from each other. There are many battles and lots of death, but love wins out...most of the time.

If you want a good read, start with H.P Mallory!!

This was an entertaining, well-written book. Lily Harper, Tallis and Bill have been separated, and Lily finds herself in the midst of a civil war in the Ninth Level. She continues to increase in skills and knowledge. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books in this series as well as other books by this author.

Tallis, Lily and Bill are still stuck in the Underworld but they have escaped from Alaire. This story is full of action as Bill and Tallis try to find Lily. The people that they meet along the way are those out of legends and some probably don’t really belong in the Underworld. It will be interesting to see what will happen next.

Each book in this series just gets better and better. I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I would definitely recommend this book.

Action packed

This book is a non stop action packed delight. You win some and you lose some battles. But the war has truly begun. Lily has changed and Tallis is free from his entity. Can they find each other again or has Alaire won Lily's love or does she get away?

OK, this book dragged on like the first three and I almost quit but right there at the end it picked up and got really good and now there’s another one and I’m debating on whether to go on because if it’s slow like the worst three and this one it’s like pulling teeth to get through it

Actually, was a little dry, I kept reading and hoping to see if it would pick up but it never did for me, not sure I will continue reading if there are other issues.

Well worth the wait!

I feel like I've been waiting forever for this book to release, I was not disappointed!
Lily is her usual awesome self, a normal woman thrown into the thick of things and seeming to find trouble no matter where she lands. Frighteningly adorable and hardy you cannot help but relate to her and root for her to be the victor in this game of the Afterlife.
Tallis is still the grumpy but loyal Scot we know and love and let's be honest, we wouldn't want him any other way!
The Stookie Angel comes into his own in this installment, fierce, foul mouthed and 110% devoted to his Nips as always.
There was a lot of world expansion in this book I admit to being a tad confused at first, maybe due to the fact it's been so long since a new Lily Harper book has been published, however I soon got back into the swing of things. This is an awesome, exhilarating ride of a book that opens up even more possibilities for Lily and her crew and expounds on ones previously written.
An all round great book but please don't make us wait so long for the next...
Fingers crossed Alaire gets his commupence.

Lily got away from Alaire. She will do everything she can to try to find Tallis and Bill. She will go through a lot of with dealing with the morgue and the Donnchadh. She will have to others and the spirit in her to get to the people that mean the most to her. She meets interesting cast of characters.
Tallis and Bill come across there own problems while to find Lily in the morgue. They don't know if they can trust them all. They come across a person that seems to be to communicate with a higher being. This person seems to be trustworthy. They will try to trust them.
Lily and guys will finally find each other, but their problems are not behind them. They will have a fight to leave there and to stop others from opening the box
This was a good read. As always the author gets you involved in the story, you won't want to stop reading even when you are at the last page. I can't wait to see what is going to happen in the next book

I received an ARC copy of this book, this is my honest review

Lily Harper flees Alaire by the skin of her teeth. She begins her journey to reunite with Tallis and Bill, which leads her to the ninth level of the Underground City, the Morgue. There she meets a variety of famous people, some who turn out to be great allies.

Tallis and Bill survive The Asylum, the eighth level, only to learn Lily is in the ninth, the Morgue. Tallis finds himself the leader of a small ragtag group fleeing the wars raging all throughout the Morgue. Unfortunately, although he finds Lily, the danger is far from over. Alaire has something big planned, and they may have just played right into his hands.

I was very impressed with NO GOING BACK, the sixth book in H.P. Mallory's LILY HARPER series. Taking off right where the last book ended, Lily flies directly into the eye of the storm. I really enjoyed the world building, the characters, both famous and not so famous, and the plot. Lily is really coming into her own. The title was spot on. NO GOING BACK is in a word, absorbing.

Mallory does it again!

Lily, Tallis and Bill are on a wild journey trying to find each other. New characters and situations present themselves and trust is never an easy thing to give when tangled in the Underground City.

Hold on this is one bumpy ride you don't want to miss!
