The first version of the screenplay is such a strange experience. The dialogue is awkward and does not fit. narrative as well as the intention and atmosphere of a gothic romance. Sounds more like a weird rom-com. However, it is interesting to spot the differences, of course, I cannot find the final version anyways so I decided to transcribe it myself. If anyone has it and wants to share it would be deeply appreciated

If they used this variant of script we would have completely different movie but we have what we have and I like it.

Was a bit disappointed in how the development of the women on paper lost their soul.

As I'm getting in the habit of reading screenplays, I am learning just how different they can be. They can be very bare-bones, written in simple outlines, or they can be written so eloquently that they read like a book. This is one of the latter. It really brings you into the world Guillermo created. There are quite a few differences between the original screenplay and the movie, so if you enjoyed the movie and are hankering for more, I highly recommend reading this.

Es la obra más madura, retorcida, encantadora y oscura que he leído. No cabe duda que la mente de Guillermo Del Toro es impresionante y no tiene límites.
