This was so cute!! The girls are absolutely adorable and eventhough there was no outright romance we have hints of at least 2 really cute ships!! I'm excited for this series!

That was cute and funny, but there isn't much "uniqueness" in the story. Just the same story with high school girls being friendly together, as always.

Extremely cute, if a bit confusing with regards to the sequence of events or who is talking sometimes. But maybe that's just my gay adhd ass's fault.

Hanamura Koharu=
Shirotsuki Mafuyu=
Asuka Nanaya=
Kazami Minori=
Kusakabe=草壁(老師)

Shibuya=澀谷
Shinjuku=新宿
Asakusa=淺草
Hanpen=半片,似乎是一種魚漿做成的食物
Chikuwa=竹輪
Tsukuneku=tsukune?=雞肉丸? 用tsukuneku查不到
Nerima ku=

Croissant=牛角麵包<=這是英文XDD

Orz

So this is a real slice-of-life manga. The pacing can be slow, which reflects the countryside setting, so it is unhurried, tranquil even. Basically, nothing happens.

Some of the slice-of-life titles I've read try to mitigate the "nothing happens" dullness by introducing some elements of romance, food, or educational manga. However, in this manga, there is no need for it, and our four main characters just go on with their regular high school life.

Be warned, this may be too slow-paced than one could expect, but its relaxing pace can be soothing.

A sweet and adorable yuri story. There's no actual romance content yet, but there's a lot of hinting at various possible ships, all f/f. Reminds me of the series Fence in the way there's no reference to hetero romance existing at all. Enjoyed and will definitely continue this sweet and simple story.

Also known as Tsurezure Biyori, new series Our Wonderful Days Vol. 1 by Kei Hamuro is a sweet slice-of-life yuri manga that is perfect for all lovers of romances and slice-of-life stories set in schools. Once childhood friends, Koharu and Mafuyu drifted apart after Mafuyu moved when they were still young. Now in high school, those seem like distant days. But when Mafuyu moves back to town, she reconnects with Koharu. And, now that their grown, Koharu can’t help but start falling for her friend.

This is a high school slice-of-life manga that takes its time in developing characters and setting. A small, sleepy town far away from the busy streets of the city Mafuyu’s just moved from is the backdrop for the tale. As she adjusts to life in the town she spent her childhood in, she reconnects with old friends, meets new ones, and gets used to a new school. This is a very character driven manga, with much more emphasis placed on the two leads and their two friends as opposed to any overarching goal they may have – a true slice-of-life.

A slow burn romance lies at the heart of things. Koharu and Mafuyu reconnect as friends first. Slowly, they begin to fall for one another. Feelings are kept to themselves, neither saying anything overt to the other in regards to their crushes in the first volume. However, it is very apparent to the reader that burgeoning feelings are there.

Koharu and Mafuyu aren’t the only potential f/f romances either. Nanaya and Minori are two of Koharu’s friends, and fairly prominent characters within the manga. These two are sharing an apartment, and there seem to be some kind romantic feelings here as well. Alas, Nanaya can be a little bit oblivious, so it’s probably fair to expect a slower burn romance here as well.

Plenty of school shenanigans occur as well. We see Mafuyu integrating herself back into the community she moved away from, and getting to know Koharu’s friends. There’s a bit of jealousy on Mafuyu’s part in regards to Nanaya and her close friendship with Koharu, leading to interesting and funny situations.

This is an all-around sweet, fun manga focusing on girls and girls in love with girls. This is the perfect manga for people who like slow slice-of-life, f/f, or school days stories. I highly recommend picking up a copy of Our Wonderful Days Vol. 1 by Kei Hamuro.

I received this manga from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Of the two new yuri releases I just read (A Tropical Fish Yearns for Snow was the other), this one is definitely the lesser of the two. The first part is really scattershot and it feels incredibly disjointed at times in a way that’s hard to explain.

That said, the characters definitely have a bit of spark and the last part of the book has a fantastic ‘day in the life’ chapter for the secondary characters, plus a finale for the two leads that suggests the storytelling is coming together. Hopefully the second volume bears this out.

3.5 stars

AHHH THIS WAS SO CUTE! I really love slice-of-life manga set in countryside settings. There are only slight shoujo-ai vibes for this one so far, but you can already tell the main girls have crushes on each other. I don’t know how the story will go, but I hope it is just as light and fluffy as the beginning has been.

This is very quiet and kind, taking place in the Japanese countryside. It's a different feel from many other more city-oriented GL books. I really enjoyed the character dynamics and really loved the willingness to slow down for some genuine slice of life joy.

While many yuri manga can also be bracketed within the slice-of-life genre of shoujo manga, this is more true for Our Wonderful Days than perhaps any other.

This manga is about the ordinary, sweet daily lives of four high school girls out in the Japanese countryside.

This book was an adorable slice of life. Koharu and Mafuyu are supposed to be the main characters in this one, but I think Nanaya and Minori stole the spot light 🥰 I can't wait to keep reading this series!

Kind of bounces around a 3 and 4 to settle comfortably in the 3.5 range.

This is an extremely cute and short yuri slice of life story. This is really the story of two friends who were separated as kids, Koharu and Mafuyu, but then are re-united in high school. This being a yuri they find out their feelings transcend friendship and it's all very light hearted and nice. So, if you're looking for a quick read with almost no drama this is a pretty nice and relaxing read.

However, this lack of drama, the more natural relationship building between new friends and old could be kind of boring for some people. To some degree the story does feel like it lacks greater "depth" or "substance", but I think a lot of that has to do with how short the series is. We go from being introduced to this group of four girls to mutual interest in a relationship in a mere three volumes. It feels rushed compared to other manga some people read that is overly drawn out... see some of the things that happen in manga like "Kimi Ni Todoke" (which is an AWESOME shojo in my opinion). However, none the "questioning" phase of the characters attracted to each other is fairly short lived by comparison, and let's face it, probably a bit more realistic, because only after a few months they're together. Which makes a lot of sense for two people that already knew each other!

In the end this is a cute and fast paced story (for a slice of life that is). There isn't much in the way of dramatic conflict or big shocking reveals. I'm actually surprised at how quickly this story wrapped up and I was expecting a bit of a slow paced build up, but alas we are only with these characters for a short time.

This was a cute, cozy yuri manga. There's not a whole lot to say, it's a simple premise with easy to get characters with cute artwork and fun interactions. Not the best, but definitely a nice break from the more serious series out there. Pick it up for a relaxing reading experience snuggled up in a blanket with a warm drink and snacks.

I really wasn't into this for the chapter or two. I thought it was really tedious and way too slice of lifey but in a boring way.
For example there's a chapter about wanting to join clubs. They check out one club, hijinks ensue, and then they decide they don't want to join any clubs and then one character reveals they joined the art club already. It was just a really boring chapter. I was pleasantly suprised that by the end I was really into it, and I was so glad I have the rest of the volumes already. The slice of life was really cute and fun! I can't wait to read the next volume.
I think it got better as it went on. It was really cute and I love the characters. Even the side characters! There's a whole chapter just with the side characters Nanaya and Minori. They don't distract from the main characters, which I like.
I also love how the "will they won't they?" isn't the whole plot. The romance is more a subplot sprinkled in. I hate when the whole plot is "oh no i love them but i can't tell" for like 10 volumes ahhh. I think people might be dissapointed with that, but I liked it. I guess I've read too much romance manga. I think the manga can be a little too much slice of life manga, the romance being the only real plot point. But since the series is only 3 volumes I think it works.
Also I love love the small town high school setting. I haven't seen a manga yet that focuses so much on school. It's usually just a backdrop. Anyways it's a really cozy setting, and the art makes the world feel so lively!
And the art. At first I thought it was well drawn (there are some like weird anatomy errors I noticed, i'm like wait i don't think the human body is like that). But there wasn't much interesting to look at. Just felt really bland idk how to explain it. But as it went on I swear the art got better. Maybe cuz the story got more interesting idk. The detail also🫡. Also the character designs while simple, you can tell their personality pretty well from them I think!
I think I’d recommend this if you want something more laid back.

Rep: sapphic romance

Our Wonderful Days is a cute slice of life story about two friends reconnecting after years. The plot overall seems generic - its about the two girls, and two of their friends, their high school life, etc. So far, the sapphic part is only being hinted at for the main two characters, but I am getting more vibes from the domesticity of the other two friends, especially on Minori's part. Mafuyu's and Nanaya's bickering, mostly fuelled by Mafuyu's low key jealousy about the other's friendly behaviour with Koharu, is quite entertaining. Nanaya is the more flustered one (she definitely has a crush on the volleyball coach), but also the very oblivious. The artwork is nice, with clean lines, refreshing layout, and warm vibes.

Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review from Seven Seas, via Edelweiss.

It's so cute. Makes you keep smiling like a weidro. It's funny, innocent, informative... It's just too good! (But I wish there were more TL's notes. There was some things I didn’t understand.) The story was really simple and lovely.
But I particularly loved the art. The art was just perfect. No, more than perfect. Perfectly deatiled backgrounds, perfect expressions, perfect shades. It was beautiful. I mean, I finished reading in one go and I didn’t feel bored for a second. I'm glad I found this.

Very cute Magna about two old pals separated during primary school and reunited on the first day of high school. There are also two other girls who are part of the friend group the story follows as well. I really like how all four characters get equal storytelling time.

There’s a chapter that focuses on the two who share an apartment together that was extremely adorable. I read that chapter at least 4 times.

Will definitely be following this series!

I've been wanting to read this for a long time.

Koharu and Mafuyu meet again in high school after Mafuyu moves to Tokyo. They become friends again with Mafuyu meeting Hoharu's friends.

The two girls that live together are cute. And the last chapter with Hoharu falling asleep while waiting for the train and Mafuyu for the train was cute.

This is more a cute manga with no major conflicts happening, if any will happen at all.

Wow I really liked this but my one issue was that one of the characters makes a comment on one girls weight that’s she gaining weight and needs to go on a diet but she’s literally SUPER SKINNY
Anyways that was just one panel and she feeds her and is nice to later so I’m gonna pretend that didn’t happen
Would’ve been five stars without that one part but I also understand how diet culture is extremely prevalent in society I just wanted to point that out !

Although really adorable, there wasn’t much that happened, but I’m assuming that’s just because it is the first book in a series. A bit disappointed in that regard, however it promises a lot for the following books and I’m looking forward to reading them.

No major event happens in the entire story. You follow everyday lives of these four girls. However, somehow, you cannot put the book down! How the author did it? No idea. Magic?

The manga falls into iyashikei category (a story created to have a healing or soothing effect on the audience). And it did it well. The book leaves you with a peaceful feeling.

I hope to see more from this mangaka.

Cute slice of life yuri (aka lesbian) manga! Koharu is starting high school and reconnects with a childhood friend, Mafuyu, who moved back into town. The group of four friends is sweet and the art (especially food art, I love food in manga and anime lol) is lovely. Not much happens but it's a happy, fluffy little read.
