The Liberal Media Industrial Complex

Rate this book
The “media” used to mean television, radio, newspapers, and magazines; but today it largely involves social media, which has swallowed up all of these other forms and is now controlled by a small group of Silicon Valley titans who decide what billions of people are able to see and hear online. The convergence of old technology and new has centralized unimaginable power into the hands of a few gigantic corporations that now dictate how we communicate with each other and perceive the outside world. Media analyst Mark Dice details how the rise of social media that tipped the balance of power regarding the production and distribution of information has also resulted in a massive backslash from those conspiring to regain the influence they once held. Now conservatives are experiencing widespread censorship as the tech giants scramble to put the genie back in the bottle. The liberal media has launched an information war against President Trump and his supporters, and are using their monopolies to manipulate public opinion in order to further their aims of a socialist revolution.

Shocking bombshells going off left and right - especially in the endnotes!

I’ve already written a short review on Amazon even after only reading a couple chapters, but I gotta write more now that I’ve finished this book.

It’s been years since I finished a book in just 2 days; I think the last time it was Francis Chan’s “Crazy Love” while on a plane in 2010; before that it was the 3rd book in a Han Solo Trilogy back in my Cadet Midshipmen days aboard a Diesel Roll-on Roll off ship headed to Northern Europe.

I couldn’t put this book down, and thanks to modern technology of text to speech, I didn’t have to!

I’m now buying this book for anyone who wants to read it, I think it’s that important. So find a way to private message me with your address and you’ll have one in your mail box in a few days... I think that says enough for what I think about this book!

Peace,
Adam

The evidence is clear cut....old and new media alike actively work to suppress conservative speech, analysis, news, and especially criticism of the progressive ethos etc. There's over 900 footnotes backing up the authors case. I highly recommend this book and think you'll find it eye opening with how far media/internet outlets go in trying to snuff out conservatism in what should be the public market place of ideas. ( The outlets do things like.... omitting facts, inventing fake stories, changing algorithms, manipulating search engine content, shadow banning etc. etc.)

On a personal note...….It's simply very telling that those with a left leaning mentality don't want other viewpoints allowed in the market place. Especially those in power. They don't want to debate or answer for their point of view. If your viewpoints cannot survive criticism or competing ideas then perhaps those views aren't worth having or shaping society from.

It's truly like we're dealing with soviets rather than fellow Americans. We should all just accept the world they're trying to craft. To not accept it is to be a "hater" or any other bad label they wish to pre-suppose on anyone who'd dare to disagree with the progressive worldview. I'm wondering where their beloved ideal of "tolerance" comes in play here. Because we're literally dealing with the least tolerant and most inflexible people probably since the civil war.
Anyway great book and I'd encourage everyone to read it.

All I thought it would be and so much more

Yet another brilliant book by Mr Dice. Well written and researched with extensive footnotes to back up the liberal bias that permeates within the mainstream media, a problem both pre-Trump and post. I think I will read this again and again along with his other books. A great read and for me well worth the Five Star Rating.

Eye opening

Dice's book is something the public needs to be aware of. We are the frog in a pot of boiling water. Things are getting hotter and hotter around us and we sit comfortably basking in the stew because we think it doesn't affect us. Red flags surround us and we are colour blind and can't or don't want to see that our rights are being slowly eroded.
Thank you, Mark, for your research and boldness to say it out loud.

Great book by Mark Dice. I love his videos and this takes it one step beyond. Did anyone else find themselves doing his Brian Stelter voice when he quoted him in the book?
A must read for how the left uses the media to lie and manipulate and how some people are so ill-informed and dare I say, brainless, that they believe everything they are fed. They follow all these Hollywood celebrities who needed therapy (Rosie O'Donnell, Christy Tiegen and Chelsey Handler) just because President Trump won the election. Wake up folks. Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, Google and the left leaning media (both print and tv/cable) try and use their power to sway people. They repeat things over and over and over again in the hopes that if they say it enough, people will be convinced it's real. They manipulate videos to make their case and if you're not smart enough to look at the unedited video, you will be fooled into believing them.
It's a wakeup call for those who aren't savvy enough to seek out the truth. He lays it out for you in print.

The liberal media industrial complex is a necessary book. It illustrated with an astounding level of detail the way mainstream media and large corporations collude to push through a "progressive" agenda, combatting traditional values, the family and, ultimately, America as the incarnation of freedom. While most of the domains of leftist domination laid out in this book are known to everyone who observes the world with open eyes, there are areas which may not necessarily be associated with a liberal bias - Wikipedia for example. The book is extremely well-sourced, with almost 1,000 footnotes underlining Dice's case that we are currently in a culture war in which the left is trying by whatever means available to undermine traditional Western life to summon a socialist/communist utopia.
Well worth the read!

I'd review this book and the astonishing things I learned about Big Tech, but then it would just be edited, discarded and stapled with a COVID information banner.

Things People Need To Know

Most of the information is very disturbing and unfortunate. This speaks of a very dysfunctional society. Mark did a great job writing this book.

This book is very representative of Mark Dice's work in videos he produces on youtube. If you're not already a fan/follower and don't know the author's work this is great introduction as it tells the more pedestrian story of how our corporate media is owned by a "liberal" agenda which many (Mark and myself) believe is motivated by a Communist color revolution agenda And not an attempt to be Inclusive to the deranged among US who believe their lifestyle (which would destroy the human species) is special and should be promoted to children (until we're no longer on the planet). Why those who've convinced themselves to never have children and abort babies if that happens Want to teach children to be like themselves is beyond me... it's as if humanity wants to commit suicide!

Congratulations Mark -Always worth the money

Always happy to support you. Love your books. Easy to read and with well documented footnotes. I learn a lot of information I wasn't aware of, and can use the footnotes to find out more.

This book told me everything I already knew.

Having watched a lot of YouTubers who weren't even remotely right wing get smeared as white-supremacists by the media over the last three years made me a Trump Supporter. I'm a Jewish woman who supports conservation of the environment, equal marriage, and abolishment of e death penalty. The MSM keeps moving the goal post so that even those are labeled conservative views, when they never were before and quite frankly aren't. This book documents very well this sort of gaslighing that they have been caught doing by those of us who are observant and have at least half a brain.

A good book that will (hopefully) awaken those that are asleep or in denial to the agenda of mass media (and those than either control or benefit from it) or confirm what you already know. The information contained made for some great conversations in our home and among my friend who loaned me the book. A few of the issues may make you uncomfortable because in our society we are told that having ideals that are not mainstream (some of which at one time were) is unacceptable.

Disturbing Read

Most of the information is an excellent summary of what occurred social media over the past couple of years. What I found most interesting was the last section on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. I was really disturbed by the ability to create deep fakes of voice and video.

Mark Dice does it again, with a clear, factual view on the current state of culture, media and the press. This book is a service to either left or right leaning individuals, as it openly demonstrates how Big Tech, Government and left-leaning individuals seize our freedoms and can warp our way of thinking by what they project in the news or in television.

Mark has also mentioned this previously in his regular online YouTube channels how his tone is surprisingly more serious and factual when it comes to writing and this is true in spades. This is a respectable piece on the current state of affairs, the only time Mark will make a joke or snide remark is scarce and for the content being mocked it is very hard not to (i.e. degeneracy in television or social media).

Values are an important cornerstone of what makes the individual to contribute to society and this book shows how that can be broken down bit by bit, day by day. I knew most of the things Mark mentioned in his book, but I truly appreciated how much deeper he went revealing a good handful of events I've never heard of.

Great book.

Very well written by a great author and social media analyst. Points out what the big Tech companies are trying to push and push and push to the sheep who will follow it. It's another eye opener and in a way makes you angry that companies and political figures will go this far to try and get their way. Sad in a way, but it is what it is and things are way better now because they're not in control. Complete with all facts checks and footnotes. High suggest this to anybody, republican or democrat. Started reading in February, just wasn't able to update information during the read. Awesome book, hope Mr. Dice keeps putting them out, the books and media lol.

The book was pretty good. It was a great enumeration of the lies the media/social media is involved in, alongside the blatant agenda setting and narratives they push. We all know how rampant state run propaganda has gotten. I feel like this book just organizes some of those examples. The organization of the book's layout is pretty cut and dry, no confusion. Saw only a couple minor spelling issues (for example the word "quit" would be used instead of "quite" at one point). But it's to be expected since I imagine editors aren't clamoring to edit a work that laughs at the only acceptable narratives in American society.

Truth, Hypocrisy and Exposing Leftist Lies

What I like about Mark Dice is that he keeps it real with source material. He doesn't just spit rhetoric without backing it up with credible sources. He loves to expose hypocrites. It's amazing what the media leaves out or chooses to cover. Mark does a brilliant job exposing the harsh and blatant, media bias in their unrelenting quest for propagandist dominance.

Trump is right. There really is censorship of conservative viewpoints across all media channels. This book contains *undeniable evidence* that people are being brainwashed into supporting far-left ideology. It's mostly enlightening on the issue of race. Of course, some small amount of racism exists but I challenge anyone who really believes that there is an epidemic of "white supremacy" in the West to read this book. These lies are tearing down society.

This book was very informative in that it covered a lot of ground on this topic, specifically providing examples of bias in the media on various platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc....). Yes, we are being manipulated and it’s high time people awaken to this mind control and impact on our lives. The media should not have this much power over our lives and it’s a very sad state of affairs to find ourselves in this mess.

Finally someone has the guts to speak out and expose the corruption of the media and social media outlets. I myself have been censored online by simply stating facts or posting the URL of an article/interview because it's not what the liberal media wants to hear or wants others to know. This book was eye-opening in the lengths these conglomerates will go to push their garbage agenda. Thank you, Mark Dice - this is the second book I've ready by you and I will be reading more.

Overall a good book. The author makes some valid points and citations are abundant for cross-reference. That said, there were several abrupt shifts and a few loose ends. The author can clearly write (the book is self-published), but the manuscript would have benefited from a good editor to tie everything together.

A little dated. But then again, books on social media can be outdated in the span of a month with how quickly our technology changes. Still, Mark Dice is a funny guy and his points about "The Liberal Media Industrial Complex" (aka social media) have only proven to be more accurate and have stood the test of time.

It's very informative on how things work behind the scenes. It's very well sourced so I have to give it high marks for that. I found it difficult to get through though as it starts to feel like a lot of complaining. Other than not watch TV and not read their media, what are we supposed to do about it?

Trying to get out of my comfort zone with reading. Some interesting tidbits on what mainstream media does not report on. It does make you think what is actually real and what is fake today.

I DO think that some of the figures he discusses are harmful to our democracy and words do have consequences…if they are to that individual or other individuals that the speech is intended upon.

I have been an avid follow of Marks media analysis on YouTube for some time so I decided to give one of his books a go.

Highly recommend reading if you want the true story of what is going on with mainstream and social media. The highly progressive lefts agenda is to silence conservatives and this book explains how they are doing it.

Serious journalists

Scary and thoughtful, are we really that far down the rabbit hole. If you are to read this book, which I do recommend as it is well written and entertaining, make sure to do it quick as it has mayor sections that will be relevant only in late 2019 and early 2020.

Thank you Mr. Dice for your courage and clarity of presentation

Just a short read into this book and I understand the answer that has eluded me, namely the mechanism used for silencing debate on social media. All fair -minded Americans should read this book.

Mark Dice writes some of the best researched subject matters.
I love each book that Mark Dice publishes when other media do even dare touch the subject matter.
The details, references, and subject matter is the best written for those who are trying to keep up the latest information.

Compelling book cataloging the leftist censorship and control of the major social media platforms against conservatives and conservative viewpoints. Definitely on the cutting edge indicating the biggest threat to freedom of speech and democracy.
