Needlessly Divided?: Christianity, Islam and Human Rights in Today's World

Rate this book
Today’s world sees war, religious tension and disagreement over human rights at crisis levels. Having read the Bible and the Quran in their entirety I attempt to find a middle ground for Christians, Muslims and others to consider. I believe it is impossible to prove or disprove the existence of God, so in this book I engage in debate on the basis that God might exist. My intention is to provide examples of guidance in the Bible and the Quran which I find positive, but also to provide examples which I find outdated, hoping to prove beyond reasonable doubt that even if God exists the Bible and the Quran are no longer perfect in their instruction. I hope to start a discussion about which sections of the Bible and the Quran are helping in today’s world, and which are not, and whether Christians and Muslims could unite to suggest new guidance for today’s world.
