Fluffy and Sweet
This was a sweet , fluffy and quirky , MM , Mpreg , Holiday Romance read.
Set in Omegaverse , a possessive thousand year old Dragon Alpha and a clueless adorable Omega find their HEA with a little magic and lots of steamy sexy times.
A 3.5 stars rating for this light hearted and uncomplicated read.

The Christmas Dragon’s Mate is the first book in Silvia Violet’s new Lonely Dragon’s Club series, and it is super fun, holiday-filled, shifter crack (and I mean that in the best possible way). Laszlo is a millennium old and still without his mate (along with some dragon friends, who form the Lonely Dragon’s Club together). He sees Roman and immediately wants him and has to have him. Laszlo has a tendency toward being commanding and imperious (being rich and ancient and all). But it balances out nicely with his gentleness with Roman and his true desire to care for and pamper him. This story takes place over Christmas and I enjoyed the bits of humor as Laszlo notes that Christmas is the perfect dragon holiday — full of bright, sparkly things and people adding to their hoards. I also enjoyed Laszlo’s reminders to himself that this isn’t the olden days of terrorizing villages and flying off with an omega, or that he has to remember to talk about his “home” and his “bedroom” rather than his “lair” and his “nest” or Roman will get suspicious. The humor and vulnerability that Laszlo shows give some nice balance to his more pushy side and he is charmingly over the top in a way that fits the story well.

This was a great dragon shifter fated mates story. I loved how possessive Laszlo was of his belongings and of his possible mate of Roman. And I love how naive Roman was to what was happening. I loved the mate bond and the dragon magic. The world building and the descriptions of the dragons was wonderful. I adored the epilogue as well. My only niggle was I wanted a bit more about the other dragons. I know they probably each get there own book but I would have liked for them to have a bit more of a presence other than that I loved this book and would definitely recommend!!

In all honesty, it was just too short to take on something like dragons, fated mates and omegaverse. The wasn't enough world-building and even though I was told there was a connection between the two MCs, I honestly didn't feel it. I wanted to know more about the two MCs beyond the shallow description we are told.

I feel like I'm the only person here who didn't enjoy this book. I didn't like the writing - it felt too fast too me with too little explanations and background on characters....and overall it just felt like like could have done a better job writing it, the story was super NOT exciting, the ROMANCE part of it I just DID NOT FEEL. I also did not particularly enjoy the characters (pretty much any of them), but that was probably due to the poor writing as well. Was it really just me? Maybe I had an off day and couldn't see myself in it??

I'm glad things didn't blow up too much to become a Big BIG Misunderstanding (I hate this trope) and overall I really enjoyed these two.

A sexy, whirlwind romance between a very old, very sexy dragon, the best part of this story by far, and a young, somewhat whiny omega. The whole mpreg thing blew right by me. I never would have picked it up otherwise. It went from quirky and silly fun to stupid eyerolls. A pity.

This was more or less exactly what I expected and wanted.
After reading Declination, 3rd book in the Borealis series, I wanted something easy.... especially on the romance side.
And that is definitely true here as it is a Treu mate story with love at first sight.
There was a bit of angst... for at least 2 to 3 pages. 🤔
I would have liked it for the characters to have more depth and a bit of eorlworld building (e.g. how dies it work that the world knows about alphas and omega but not shapeshifters????)
The MCs for the next book are introduced and maybe I will read it

First Christmas book of the season and it was OK. The story between Dragon and human was good, for me I would have loved more insight into the characters. I understand it was a short story but I've read short stories with a hell of a punch. As for as characters Laszlo was self explanatory. Dragon, mine, mate and claim but Roman was more slow to the fated mates process but eventually the HEA come.
Looking forward to the next books in this series.

This was cute, fluffy, and adorable.
A dragon and a clueless omega. Though I was a little struggled with the writing style, The Christmas Dragon's Mate is the mpreg book I usually loved. With all an overprotective alpha, jealousy, a fragile omega and a happy ending.

A fun and adorable story
Okay. First, we have dragons and dragons and Christmas just seem to go together. Hello...shiny lights and ornaments! Dragons love shiny things.
I have to say, I really liked Laszlo and his dragon. It was cute to see him try to hide it from Roman. But Roman took it in stride. He was actually kinda funny about the whole thing. I liked seeing him grow more comfortable with Laszlo and ultimately fall in love with him. Roman was sweet but definitely had a mind of his own. I liked that he stood up for himself even if he went about it the wrong way.
I can't wait to see where the series goes. I'd love to see more of Kymar and Holden. They were really funny.

Laszlo, ein Mitglied des Lonley Dragon Clubs, ist völlig verrückt nach Weihnachten. Und dem entsprechend sieht sein Haus zur Weihnachtszeit auch aus. Doch man kann nie genug Dekoration haben und im Ort wird der Drache auch fündig. Doch Laszlo entdeckt nicht nur wunderbare Dekorationen für die Weihnachtszeit, sondern auch noch einen unwiderstehlichen Omega. Seinen für ihn bestimmten Gefährten!
Roman hat keine Ahnung, dass es Drachen gibt. Und er hat auch keine Ahnung, dass dieser merkwürdige und scheinbar auch sehr reiche Kunde der ihm vom Schicksal zugedachte Gefährte sein. Gut, er findet den Exzentriker attraktiv. Roman hat einen Job und will diesen nicht verlieren. Doch in einem Moment der Schwäche lässt er sich überreden und begleitet Laszlo nach Hause.
Laszlo weiß, dass er nicht mit der Tür ins Haus fallen darf. Doch sein Gefährte ist einfach unwiderstehlich und als Roman plötzlich in seine Hitze kommt, ist Laszlo natürlich sehr willig ihm zu Diensten zu sein. Und vielleicht gelingt es ihm ja auch so Roman von sich zu überzeugen.
Die Geschichte wird sehr kurzweilig und amüsant erzählt. Viel Tiefe findet sich im Plot nicht und das Ende ist natürlich vorhersehbar. Es gibt auch einen 'Bösewicht' in dem Plot, der zwischen Laszlo und Roman für Unstimmigkeiten sorgt. Die Enthüllung von Laszlos wahrer Natur verläuft jetzt eher amüsant, denn spektakulär und wird leider ein wenig schnell abgehandelt.
Roman schluckt die Tatsache, dass es Drachen gibt, erstaunlich schnell und findet sich genauo schnell damit ab. Diese Gefährten-Sache und die Aufgabe seiner Unabhängigkeit, das ist ein anderer Punkt und auch das führt zu Gesprächsbedarf.
Trotz der kleinen Plotschwächen, fand ich das Buch durchaus amüsant und lesenswert.

I know it's a little late for a Christmas story, but this was one was just too cute not to review. Another review described the story as fluffy and adorable. I couldn't agree more.
Laszlo is possessive, vain, bossy, and a big kid when it comes to shiny and blingy things. A dragon shifter, he collects pretty much everything. When he's in a shop to buy more baubles, he sees sexy omega Roman behind the counter and knows he'll be adding him to his collection, or his hoard. Any other man might take offense to being told somebody wants to add them to a 'collection' but not Roman. There's something about Laszlo that calls to him. Laszlo knows it's because they're mates but humans aren't aware that dragons even exist. Laszlo has to talk Roman into going home with him before he shares that particular secret.
This was a fun story. I found myself grinning throughout. It's mpreg like a lot of the author's other books so if you're not into that, don't read it.

so much fun.. this was adorable and unique.. it was sooo much fun and i cannot wait to read more by this author and this series.. it was soo cute. laszlo is this adorable dragon who loves sparklies and it was just adorable to watch him fall and watch him fight to get everything right. roman is adorable and figures it out. so cute.

I was disappointed there isn’t a claiming bite. There is dragon magic, knotting and Mpreg but no claiming bite. I like a good bite!

What an absolute whimsical joy to read! A dragon who is obsessed with the joy and beauty of Christmas decorating. More treasures to add to his hoard, until he sets eyes on the sales clerk. His mate, an omega who becomes more precious than anything in his hoard. This was a fun holiday shifter read. Such a sweet romance, full of hot sizzling chemistry. Loved it.

I only picked up this book because I want to give atleast one chance to any and all genres out there but this was definitely not for me lol i think I’ll draw the line on MM Omegaverse romance without any shapeshifters. This book was way too crude for my liking and I was getting uncomfortable throughout, the fact that it was so short was the only thing that made me finish the book.

In my opinion this was so bad that it's hard to believe this is from the same author I read some other books from.
In the 5% I did read I tried again 3 times and after that I decided to give up, since reading this would be a huge waste of my time.

Sweet Christmas story

The story was sweet and I laughed and even though I'm not a fan of the "misunderstanding and taking rush decisions without talking" between the main characters, I was OK with that part because it didn't devolve in a surreal and unnecessary drama.

This was a really cute holiday read. Laszlo was so very cute, for a thousand year old dragon, who loves all the spraklies. He ends up in a shop that has exactly what he wants for his Christmas tree, but he never expected that the cutie behind the counter is his mate. Roman doesn't think someone like Laszlo could be interested in a guy like Roman. But is shocked & intrigued by Laszlo. He knows that there is something different about Laszlo but can't put his finger on what it is. Laszlo talks Roman into going home with him, under the guise of delivering the shinnies. Once there, Laszlo has a hard time keeping his hands off of his mate, and his dragon wants him to claim their mate now & damn the consequences. I'm glad that Roman didn't freak out and ran for the hills. He did at times think he was losing his mind but he came to grips with it. I can't wait for the next book in the series as I really enjoyed it.
