A D Fitzgerald is an Edinburgh resident, historian by inclination and an author by accident. Drawing on his experiences of studying Anglo-Saxon Magic at university and a keen interest in esoteric subjects it feels natural to weave magic into the stories that he tells.

Does anyone appreciate the magic that exists in everyday life? The world is a wonderful place and there are so many aspects that people forget have existed in our society for ages.

His debut novel 'The Green Man' draws on Celtic mythology and his experiences of being part of the Beltane Fire Society which is a vibrant 21st century expression of the wonder that can survive in the modern world.

'Mistletoe Tales' explores the lives of the witches of Old Bridge, the residents and their descendants. Drawing on his fascination with the symbolism of Mistletoe and its long history from Norse legend into the modern day. Exploring love and grief and how vital it is to regain hope or happiness when they have been lost.
