I decided to stop “dieting” this year and pay attention to my diet and moving my body. I bought this cookbook for my Kindle and cooked out of it for a week so far. The recipes are all delicious! We have had 6 dinners from the book. I have had a soup, and two salads and three breakfast choices. I also have made two of the snack options. My family has enjoyed all of the dishes, as have I. The recipes do require some prep/chopping but that didn’t surprise me. Clean eating = real food. I have just bought a second copy! The physical book because I prefer to cook from a hard copy.
MY FAVORITE COOKBOOK!! So simple and delicious. If I can make these recipes successfully, anyone can. The only downside is that the recipes don’t have pictures but don’t let that dissuade you because it’s 100% worth it. Plus the author is a registered dietitian so you know you’re actually getting good meals out of it.
I've truly enjoyed this cookbook. It was a find from the library that I later purchased and use regularly. The recipes are simple but delicious. I wish the book had more photos but don't let it chase you away.
Chapter One starts this cookbook with the Clean Eating Basics and Code. There is a section on how to stock your kitchen, refrigerator and freezer, and what tools and equipment to have to enhance preparing your meals.
Chapter Two offers three Meal Plans: Clean Eating 101 Plan, Wellness Plan, and the Healthy Lifestyle Plan. The meal plans are easy to follow with weekly examples, the recipes, and corresponding page numbers from the cookbook, and shopping lists.
Chapters Three through Twelve contains numerous recipes including Smoothies, Snacks, Salads, Seafood, Beef and Lamb, and Desserts. Following the recipes are useful cooking temperature and measurement conversion charts, resources list and recipe index.
I chose the Turmeric Rice on page 93 to prepare with my Chicken with Olives and Capers (page 105), and Greek Fasolakia (Green Beans) (page71) recipes from the Mediterranean Diet Slow Cooker Cookbook by Shannon Epstein. This dinner was very tasty and filling and I plan to prepare these recipes again in the near future, maybe with different sides and main dishes.
Whether you are looking for a chicken, pork, or vegetarian recipe it is there waiting to be prepared for your enjoyment. I am recommending this cookbook for everyone who cooks wanting a healthier way to prepare their meals without compromising on flavor or any choice of food.

I am always looking for new healthy, clean recipes, so when I received a copy of this new cookbook, I was thrilled. The book features two hundred recipes, meal plans, and recommended pantry lists so you can make all the meals shared. The recipes all seem pretty easy to follow, with clear instructions and include ingredients that will be easy to find at any grocery store. The only downside to this book is that most of the meals are centered around an animal protein, so vegetarians and vegans will have to cherry-pick recipes or adapt them to be suitable for a plant-based kitchen. *Advance copy provided by the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
Wow! This is a thick book! Each recipe is only one page (with a few exceptions) and the recipes are no-nonsense, healthy, and some only have 5 ingredients or less!
This cookbook includes much more than recipes. It contains information on what to eat, what to moderate, and how to transition to clean eating.
Incorporating a healthier diet never felt easier.
