Liz does it again! In this love story she tells of love gone wrong with the abilities to have a second chance.
Landon is a sweet cowboy who can no longer live his former rodeo life because of a former accident. He is a ruggedly handsome man with a heart of gold who wants more from life then is current. His former girlfriend decided that she needed more than him & Landon catches her with another man. He is trying to move forward & fulfill a dream from his life. Megan is a beautiful, strong & lovely young woman whose boyfriend robbed her and several others of monies that were not his. She moves home to help her father, who is a preacher in the town, fix up the church before he retires. Megan asks Landon who has come highly recommended to take over the renovations of the church so her father can retire. He is drawn to her as she is to him but he is not one to make swift decisions. He knows Megan has been hurt recently and although it has been quite some time for him, doesn't want to get his heart broken again. How their story unfolds you will have to buy the book to find out. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this truly Romantic Christian Read. I voluntarily read this ARC & this is my honest review.

"Through the Mist" was very well written, and after the second book of this series- very refreshing! I absolutely loved everything about this novel. I loved the characters, the story-line, and the way everything was presented. I was very pleased with how the novel turned away from the way "After the Fall" was written and back to the typical writing style of Ms. Isaacson.
The story of Belle's brother Landon leads us back to Gold Valley, and to the pastor's daughter who just moved back into town to spruce up the church. Neither Megan nor Landon was looking for a relationship, and definitely not looking for love, but that doesn't stop Belle and Jace from pushing them in that direction. With both of these two looking for something different, something to complete them, maybe they are what each other is looking for!
I would just like to say that there are over 6 books in this series (so far), and I am not normally a fan of series that run this long (unless they really hold your attention); however, Mrs. Isaacson grabs your attention with the multiple characters throughout the many novels and manages to keep them all tied together without having to repeat herself a multitude of times throughout each story. Wonderful job, if you enjoy one, you will enjoy all of them.

This one really frustrated me, I think both of them were a little too stubborn, but especially Landon. He tells her I'll give you time in one breath then leaves in the second. Lame. But I still enjoyed it. An author that can make you feel emotions in their story is doing their job.

Landon Edmunds is unsettled, restless. Although he loves working with his best friend Jace at Horseshoe Home Ranch, he feels like he's finally ready to step out and purchase a horse ranch. However, his sister, Belle, reintroduces an old high school friend who needs construction help, things get complicated.
Megan Palmer needs help with repairs at her father's church. So she turns to her long time friend, Belle, to ask about her brother. What she doesn't mention is that she's had a crush on Landon since high school. Is she finally going to get a chance to be near him? And, when their attraction to each other is apparent, what's she going to do about his plans to leave town?
I wish I could say that everything about this story is perfect, but it fell somewhat short for me. I liked Landon. He seemed transparent with his plans to purchase the horse ranch. And, once he reconciled his feelings for Megan, he was very open and honest with her. Yes, he struggled for a time, but that seemed expected given the timeline of the story.
It was really Megan that I had problems with. She was all over the place with Landon. One moment pursuing him, the next shoving him away. I found her selfish at times and her excuses weak.
I did like how Landon took time to learn God's will for him and follow through with it. His work ethic is something to be admired.
I also appreciated the role Belle played. She represents what a good friend and a loyal sister should be.

See how Landon and Megan end up in Utah. The adventure is one I enjoyed and recommend for you to read. This book is easy reading and will keep your interest. I saw myself in both of the characters and even learned some things about myself.
So if you have to spend a chilly, rainy day inside, this is a book to read.

Grabbed my interest early into the book.... and enjoyed the storyline for very much. I am looking forward to hear tidbits of Megan Palmer and Landon Edmunds in future books of the series. This is a sweet very romantic love story. It was great meeting Jace and Belle and they were a great supporting role in this book. Belle, Megan's best friend and also being Landon's sister.

Moving forward is not always easy. Faith, forgiveness & working with positive support, sure helps getting over the bumps in the road! ... but doesn't mean it was easy !

Even though Landon loves working at Horseshoe Home Ranch he feels something is missing in his life and feels that it is time to move on and start his own ranch in another state. Then he meets Megan and starts to have feelings for her and wonders if he should chance his plans. Megan moved back after an embarrassment and breakup with her boyfriend after he took all her money and money from many others. Landon still feels the call to move and start his own ranch but doesn't know how he can do that and have Megan too. Will their faith allow them to overcome their pasts and move on to the future together? What happens when problems arise with the property Landon bought in Utah and he needs to leave right away?

This is a sweet, clean, christian romance. Megan is the local minister's daughter. She has come back home to lick her wounds from a failed romance. While she does this, she helps her Dad get ready to retire and to fix up the church. Landon has also had a bad experience in the romance department. He is working on a ranch in his home town. The two are attracted to each other, but each is scared. The story is sweet and has a HEA. I did tire of Megan's waffling on her feelings about Landon. He was ready to commit and even made the first overture, but she kept hesitating. The writing style is easy to read and the story moved along at a nice pace. The story kept me entertained and turning the pages.

I love the storyline that connects to her other series! Landon and Megan's story was up and down and it kept me wondering what would happen! It realistically portrays what Christian couples might go through with physical attraction before marriage and with working through personal issues. Loving someone might come easy but working through past experiences/hurts/backgrounds is work. I love how they turned to God to work through their personal lives and their relationship!

Sweet and easy read
A good story with main characters, Megan and Landon who were well developed, realistic and relatable. I do however feel like the other characters in the story, especially her father could have had a bit more depth. Not sure how her mother died, but feel that knowing that would have helped a bit as her mother is mentioned and missed by Megan. I could not help but notice some of the places visited were linked to other series of books the author has written and liked the connection.

this book can only be described as Christian mills&boon. soft clean romance with a little religion thrown in. Landon and Megan's story is cute but its a bit unrealistic to expect a woman to drop everything and run after a man. Landon should also have had to make compromises. also Megan should not be looking for love and happiness from a man but should rather look to God. other then that. great all be it slow read.

In this addition to a awesome series, Liz writes about lost love and second chances. Landon dreams of buying his own horse ranch after an injury ends his rodeo career. Megan is a preachers daughter and wants him to help her restore her fathers church. Issues regarding trust and honesty are tested in this Country/Western themed read. I recommend highly.

Yet another amazing story from Liz Isaacson. I have managed to read this series out of order but it has not diminished the absolute pleasure I've found in each book. This is a lovely series with interesting characters and based around a ranch called Horseshoe Home and a friendly Montana town called Gold Valley. If you love good wholesome romance give this series a try.

Another great book by Liz Isaacson. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and the issues they face about work and relationships are ones we all face. Megan and Landon grew in their faith together.

Good reading
Well written. Story flowed and was hard to put down. So refreshing to not have skip over heavy sex scenes and fowl language. Nice to read about a young couple that let their life be guided by faith.

This was another excellent clean romance book by Liz Isaacson. I have enjoyed every book that I have read by this author. All her books are hard to put down after you start reading them. I highly recommend it.

A good cowboy story.
This was mainly focused on two characters and their struggles to overcome bad experiences in relationships in their past. It was hard to truth themselves to make the right decision. These roads are never easy to travel.

Landon works hard on his ranch and is trying to put the pieces of his life back together. The girl he falls in love with is even more broken than he is. With God's guidance and time to work through "the mist," the love they have for each other begins to heal them.

Great read!
As with all of Liz Isaacson's books, I enjoyed this book. Although I thought the book was Falling for his Best Friend and not Through the Mist, it still took place in Gold Valley. The characters of Land on and Meghan were realistic and the story was well-written.

I liked getting back to Horseshoe Ranch and some familiar characters. A lot went on in this book and I really enjoyed getting to know these people and watch them work through their pasts. I’m excited to read more!
