I felt like this book had potential but there was enough wrong with it to be terrible. There were to many coincidences. How do two people meet each other(without knowing the other was going there) in about 6 different places, at the same time, within a span of two weeks, in New York. It doesn’t make sense and it seemed forced. Another thing was the conflicts got solved way to easily. Both the court cases and the personal problems. They didn’t put much work into the nearly impossible cases and still managed to solve them. Their personal problems were solved without even apologizing to each other. Lastly the ending of the book was rushed and showed no development. They didn’t even like each other until the last about 20 pages then they loved each other, had a baby, and got engaged before the end of the book. Overall the characters didn’t have much personalities either besides Aspen just being an insanely good lawyer and Elijah being a total jerk is all shapes and forms.

Elijah Wolfe, maybe the star of this book but he infuriates me at times and I'm just reading his story. He can't seem to make up his mind when it comes to Aspen and his feelings towards her. Well, he likes her obviously because she's gorgeous and sexy not to mention a topnotch lawyer.

I always like a strong, fierce, independent heroine and Aspen is all that and more. I can't blame Aspen for liking Elijah, for he can be charming, sweet, attentive when he wants to. But most of the time he's a douchebag, period. Aspen won't tolerate this kind of attitude and did make a stand not to be felt used again. No matter how much she likes Elijah, she'll just have to move on.

Will Elijah realized how much Aspen means to him now that she's about to date someone else?

It was a good story. The witty banter between Elijah and Aspen is one of the things I like in this book. It keeps me entertained no matter how pissed I am towards Elijah, lol! Overall it was a good read.

Amazing!!

This is a well written story which has engaging and realistic characters, family, friendships, humour, witty banter, challenges, intrigue, insecurities, and love which all leads to an entertaining and steamy addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Underwhelmed

I was hoping that this book would be more satisfying, it’s not. I didn’t like the heroine. I just couldn’t relate to her. Like at the beginning of the book her boyfriend humiliates her in the worst time and place possible and she was rightfully angry and upset BUT after a few days later her ex explains that he cheated on her because she didn’t love him and she immediately realizes its true and suddenly all is forgiven and even “puts her head in his shoulder. Jeez, where’s the process? Anyway, I just skimmed through the latter chapters of the book just to finish it. I really love the enemies to lovers trope but this book was not even remotely satisfying. If you love a good enemies to lovers book, try the Sterling Shore series by CM Owens. Now those books are the reread kind of books.

This book was pretty “meh”, at-least what I read.

I honestly had low expectations from this book, I was just looking for a light-hearted read, but this book just annoyed me.

It irritated me that practically everyone knew that they had slept together, including their assistants. The male lead actually told his assistant about a one-night stand ditching him in the middle of the night, for something that hurt his ego it doesn’t make sense for him to go telling people.

The female lead also has everything magically happen for her, for some reason the cards are always drawn in her favour. Her life is way too perfect.

I was looking for an easy read and this sounded like it would fit my mood. Unfortunately, it fell short and hard due to bad grammar and wrong word usage. I made it 26% and I couldn’t continue. I’m going with 2 stars because the story had potential, but I don’t know if it made it or not.

Aren’t all men the same .. work .. woman .. work .. another woman .. Elijah Wolfe has no problem telling you up front he doesn’t do relationships. But when the right woman comes along it takes him a while but I think Elijah sees the light ..

Aspen Michaelson knows that she needs to move on after her fathers death and what better place than NYC, which happens to be he life long dream .. be an attorney at a big law firm and do it NYC. No time like the present .. but when her one night stand is sitting in her interview she knows she needs to ROCK IT ! And she does but we all know Sandi’s books aren’t that simple and she doesn’t disappoint in Elijah and Aspens story !!

It is happy, sad, frustrating and loving !! Dancing is my FAVORITE thing to do to !! Can’t wait to see what she brings with Elijah’s brothers ..

I have not read a book by Sandi Lynn in a few years. I first enjoyed her story telling when I read her "Forever" series. Now I remember why I enjoy her romance stories, it was like returning to an old friend.

Elijah and Aspen have such great chemistry and individual strengths, they are wonderful characters to read and follow with their love story.

This is a beautiful romance story set in the workplace with wonderful supporting characters that provide humour and warmth to follow these two characters to repairing their own fears with each other.

Elijah and Aspen are passionate and have fire in not only the courtroom but the bedroom, you will not be disappointed.

Ms. Lynn has done it again as Elijah Wolfe is wonderful, sweet and engaging book! The storyline is precise, straight forward with just the right amount of angst, romance and steamy sex. Elijah and Aspen were an enjoyable couple, their tit for tat and quirky banter was quite entertaining. I loved their strong personalities which made for a great read. Elijah Wolfe is a definite must read and I’m really looking forward to reading Nathan and Mason’s books.

Elijah and Aspen have a love/hate relationship that sizzles in and out of the courtroom. I loved everything about Elijah Wolfe. Sandi Lynn can write a sexy, rich, redeemable jerk like nobody’s business. Elijah is no except. What I loved is that Aspen didn’t just lay down and take it. She is a spitfire who will give it right back. If you want a fast, fun, sexy book with characters you will love, then Elijah Wolfe is the book for you!

Ya ampun ceritanya so so aja. Kasih 3 bintang artinya biasa aja. Ga jelek, ga bagus. Ceritanya mirip2 sama buku lain (rasanya dejavu) hahaha..

Elijah, si hero. Lawyer, rich, handsome. Punya issues dengan relationship. Jadi ga pernah pacaran.

Ketemu sama aspen. Punya issues juga karena pernah ditinggal mamanya. Jadi ga pernah nangis (ga mau merasakan sakit kaya ditinggal mamanya). Ketemu one night stand di hawaii. Trus ternyata si elijah ini boss nya dia di kantor baru (si aspen pindah).

Trus hubungan mereka on off gitu. Friends with benefits.

Aspen and Elijah's story was a quite classic one and I really enjoyed reading it. It reminded me of the older Harlequin stories with the j@ck@ss boss and the new employ. I can't wait to read Nathan's story!

Very nice but somewhat predictable

I think this was a very nice story! I love Aspen. She is strong, opinionated & very smart. She is a lawyer just like her dad. So the story start with Aspen at her father’s funeral. Her boyfriend broke up with her. Sister & her decided to go to Hawaii to spread the ashes. Then we meet machinists Elijah who is also a lawyer. He is very smart & pretty much uses girls how he likes. If they start getting close to him he breaks up with them. So his brothers & him decided to go to Hawaii. That’s where he meets Aspen & instantly felt a connection. They had sex with the understand they won’t see each other again. Playboy Elijah asked Aspen to spend the night- she agreed but actually left him & sneaked our at 2am(I think). She had a plane to catch that morning. Elijah was not happy abt that. He is normally the one sneaking out not them.
A mth passed & Elijah’s firm which his mom build (NY) are in need of a lawyer. Aspen moves to NY & went to an interview with them. She got hired but Elijah can’t forget she left him high & dry. Then after that story becames very predictable. They have sex, can’t keep their hands off each other but both are afraid of commitment. Blah blah blah The End.

Aspen Michaelson y Elijah Wolfe están en Hawaii para un fin de semana pero por razones totalmente diferentes. Un dia se conocen en el bar del Hotel y tienen un noche de placer. A la mañana siguiente Elijah se encuentra sólo en la cama y con una sensación de molestia que no lo deja incluso al volver a casa en New York. Un par de días después, Aspen tiene una entrevista en la firma de abogados de la familia Wolfe, así que Elijah termina siendo su jefe y ambos comienzan una relación laboral bastante competitiva.

Estos dos personajes tienen mucho en que trabajar a lo largo de la historia, pero me encantó la forma en que la autora escribió a estos protagonistas. Tienen mucho en común y a la vez son tan diferentes. Elijah es un playboy que solo se compromete con su trabajo, es un poco gruñón a veces y le encanta el control. Aspen, en cambio, es muy amable, valiente, le encanta bailar en cualquier momento y es el tipo de chica que le habla a los animales. Así que ambos son una pareja adorable porque Aspen saca mucho a Elijah de su zona de confort y eso es una de las cosas que más me hizo reír en este libro. Además, las protagonistas femeninas de Sandi Lynn siempre son tan empoderadas, no se dejan aplastar por nadie, y eso es algo que amo de sus libros. Y con Aspen se superó, es mi favorita de todas las protas que he leído de esta autora hasta ahora.

Los hermanos Wolfe me dejaron enamorada y con ganas de más. Ya quiero leer sus libros. Además, estoy in love con la relación tan cercana y fresca que tienen estos hermanos. Y las peleas de Elijah y Aspen fueron lo mejor de todo. No tienen idea como me reí con sus peleas y competitividad en los juicios. Este es el tipo de libro que lees y piensas "no sabia que lo necesitaba, hasta que lo leí". Espero leer pronto los otros libros de la serie y que ustedes puedan leer este y amen tanto como yo a Aspen y Elijah.

This was an odd storyline in that his mum had spent time with her dad. She just happens to meet him on holidays and has a ONS. Then, due to circumstances her dad dying, her boyfriend cheating, her boss and job she decides to move to NY where she immediately sees him again and is hired by his firm. She immediately finds an apartment, wins all her cases. In other words she is the blessed princess having cute little bluebirds landing on her fingers.

Not just that the hero falls for her but not before being a total ass to her to break off their relationship which he wouldn’t say there was...it is insane how quickly she takes him back when HE decides he wants to be with her again. 🙃

A Great Read and there are two more brothers

Sandi Lynn has done it again. This is a great story about a couple who just wanted a one night stand and realized they are made for each other. As much as they fight it Aspen and Elijah can't stay away from each other. Aspen goes to work for Elijah and his mother's law firm and they can't deny their chemistry. So looking forward to his brothers stories.

Have you ever

read a book and pictured who should play which character? Jane Fonda as Caitlin for sure. This story tugs on every dysfunctional heart string and a few more.
Sandi Lynn has a way with writing strong women. I thoroughly enjoyed how Aspen got her former employer to pay her year salary and bonus before leaving her job. The only issue I did have was when Aspen quit because of Elijah and she came back?! It didn't fit with her kick ass character at all.

Was an ok story but it didnt have the right flow. The authors writing was a bit.....not sure of the word....kind of like dick and jane story.Aspen meets Elijah and have a one night stand. By some huge coincidence they end up meeting and working with each other. Fight the attraction. End up in bed again. Throw in some people to add a.tiny bit of drama. It just didn't have the romance vibe to this story.

Outstanding

Another powerful book by Sandi got the ARC of the book an I simply couldn't put it down. Read it in a few hours.

Aspen is an excellent attorney and has just lost her father and on the day of his furneal her boyfriend breaks up with her. Aspen her sister and brother in - law fly to Hawaii to scatter his ashes. On her final night there Aspen was sitting at a bar in her hotel Aspen goes to the bathroom and on her way back out she bumps into a sexy hot man named Elijah. That night they had a one night stand and Aspen left his room in the middle of the night.

Aspen goes back to work only for her boss to demote her to a different section because his wife gives an ultimatum with him and good looking girls. Aspen is not happy and quits her job but gets revenge by blackmailing him and she gets what she wanted. As there is nothing left for Aspen in her home town she packs up everything and moved to New York to be closer to her sister. Upon her arrival she has landed an interview with a top law firm. When she is in the interview she locks eyes on her on night stand Elijah. She gets the job and also a new apartment in her sisters building.

Elijah Wolfe is a rebellious attorney and is pairing with Aspen on some cases but Aspen loves to defy Elijah with cases that shouldn't make trial and taking on a client when Elijah is representing the husband.

Elijah and Aspen have their office affair but he keeps pushing away saying it shouldn't happen again but it does. As time goes on Aspen finds out a secret as to how she got her job at Wolfe and Associates.

This book is 10 stars and another outstanding book as always it makes you feel connected to the characters and the author.
