The fabled Oak Crown has been stolen, and Aunt Dora thinks Krampus may be the thief. Now, Dora has until dusk to find the crown, or the world will be trapped in winter for another year.
This 10,000 word, cozy mystery short first appeared in the Spells and Jingle Bells anthology.
April Aasheim is the second oldest of six children. She spent her early years traveling the western part of the country with her mother and step-father. During this time she met a lot of interesting people and developed a love of 'characters'.
April is married and lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and her cat Boots.
I very much enjoyed this short story for the holiday season featuring a magical family in the town of Dark Root. Aunt Dora tells her nieces about Krampus, and suddenly it seems mischief is around every corner. If you want to enjoy a short holiday story with magic and mystery that will make you smile, I highly recommend you read this!
This story took me back to Christmas at my house many years ago. I loved it and I plan on reading it every Christmas for my grand kids they will love it as much as I did. Thanks April for another great story.
