All is set to change for Alice and Sam as they expect their first child together. Just how they are going to fit themselves, their baby and Sam’s daughter Sophie into their little two-bed cottage is a mystery, but Alice is determined not to get stressed out.

Her focus is on best friend Julie, who is trying unsuccessfully for a baby, and on Sophie, who is torn between staying in Cornwall with Sam, or moving to Devon with her mum. Then there are Alice’s parents, who don’t seem happy with their own move to Cornwall, and Jonathan, who also appears to be falling out of love with life there.

At least work is going well, with a glowing review of Amethi in Staycation magazine, and the possibility of picking up some tourism awards. But it should be no surprise when life throws a couple more challenges in the way.

Can Alice really survive her pregnancy stress-free, and can her friendship with Julie survive the strain of the differing situations they now find themselves in?

Preceded by A Second Chance Summer, After the Sun, As Boundless as the Sea and Sticks and Stones, this much-anticipated fifth book will not disappoint. As we travel through a long, cold winter, from the solstice to Christmas and into new year, the emphasis is on fresh starts and new beginnings. An inspirational read.

This is book 5 of the Coming Back to Cornwall . Alice and Sam are expecting their first child and they are stressed as to how they can fit a new baby in their house along with Sophie (Sams teenage daughter) in a two bedroom home. Her friend and business partner has been wanting to have a child and Alice is concerned for her . Many challenges arise as they wait for the birth of this baby.
Love this series but sometimes I think it is too long. I have 2 more books to go to finish it.

I absolutely loved reading these books and absolutely found this flowed nicely in with the other books in the series. I loved the characters and so glad they all found there happy endings within the book , I do hope julie is happy and think she still needs to find herself while away from alice , as she much took things at a pace and worked out who she was rather than julie who rushed things. My absolutely loved the ending where sam and Alice finally have their little boy that was my most favourite part and the ending most definitely tied up rather neatly. I did really love reading this once I started I couldnt put it down

Is it the end?

What a wonderful book. So lucky to have had the pleasure of reading 5 books with wonderful characters and involved in the ups and downs of life. This last book tied up the loose ends with scope for a sixth book (please).

They are lovely books and all about a count that brings back happy memories of my childhood by the sea. I did enjoy them, it's nice to read something with which you can remember living in Cornwall and going back to familiar places, thank you for writing such wonderful stories

Love this series almost as much as I love Cornwall
Great characters, for a bit lost with some of the characters as there has been a gap between this and when I read the last book. Bit very good and a fab read

I loved this whole series and couldn't wait for the last book in the series, although I didn't want it to end. I like the way it has been left open for a potential 6th book. All of the books stayed with the main characters, following the ups and downs of their lives, staying predominately with them, but bringing in other characters and linking them all in to the story. Definitely a series I would recommend and may well read again in the future.

Loved this "final" book in the series. Wonderful characters you can really relate to and lots of twists and turns. Looking forward to hearing more about them all in the future.
